  • "My son and I went to Easter brunch at Chef Geoff's Rockville. The hostess was very welcoming, the food was wonderful (especially the beignets) and the service was exemplary. We sat in a booth, which is my preference since it seems to make the meal feel more private. Thankfully, the noise level is moderate which allows conversation without needing to raise one's voice."

  • "I have been to Chef Geoff's restaurant now for several meals: a birthday celebration, a few lunch time meeting-ups with friends, a romantic dinner and most recently, Easter Brunch. The food is always fabulous, the service is always friendly. It has become my "go-to" restaurant when planning to dine in the Rockville area."

  • "good restaurant! Would highly recommend this restaurant "

  • "Had this for lunch, the egg was cooked to perfection and the cheese was Gruyere and obviously ham, the bread was slighty toasted and the croquet madame was accompanied by a small green salad and fries, very tasty and satisfying."

  • "This was our 5th visit and first time receiving less than anticipated service quality. We heard other tables being told of the Bacon Special Night features, and that was never mentioned to us. We wondered what we missed out on, but too late to ask, as we had already place our order. Usually service on past visits has been exemplary, this time was less than anticipated. Won't stop us from dining there unless it becomes a trend. "

  • "I ate here with my fiancee after driving by the place a dozen times on Rockville Pike. I had the special which was the pork belly with pan seared brussel sprouts and my fiancee had a black bean burger. Both entrees were excellent. It was extremely tasty and being someone that does not eat vegetables, I finished off all the brussel sprout and was looking for more. The service was excellent also, our glasses were full and the wait staff was very attentive. I would most definitely recommend Chef Geoff's"

  • "Our family decided to go to Chef Geoff's for a different experience. Our waiter's/server's name was Stephen and he was awesome. He let us know about the change in menu and helped each one of us pick our entree for dinner. His suggestions were pleasing to all of us. The portions were just right. Not too much and not too little. The food came out hot. Stephen made sure to check in with us frequently. The only down side to the restaurant was the tables were a little close. I will definitely go back to Chef Geoff''s for either brunch, lunch or happy hour. The one suggestion I have is too make sure patrons have water in the glasses. We did have to ask for our glasses to be refilled."

  • "The ambience is nice, but the two main courses we ordered were uninspiring. Lamb patties were charred and had to be remade and the trout lacked piazza. Will probably not return."

  • "The menu was interesting, and the dishes were well-prepared. Unfortunately, either our server or the kitchen got one of our entree selections wrong. They offered to pick up the tab for dessert as a result, which was nice but doesn't compensate for the fact that one of our diners was disappointed."

  • "Sunset Specials and desserts highlight the value and quality of Chef Geoff's charm. Food seasoning was inconsistent - tortilla soup had poor seasoning, spring salad though had sufficient champagne vinaigrette. Recommend definitely have all desserts which our group did. Service was attentive and were trying to accommodate with the early seating."

  • "Food was great. The waiter impressed me because he was sensitive to the fact that we had a time constraint and needed to get back to pick up our kids. Service was expedited to accommodate us."

  • "We went there for our anniversary and the hostess, manager, and waiter were fantastic, service and food was above and beyond and we will not hesitate to recommend it to everyone we know :)"

  • "My friend and I recently ate at Chef Geoff's on a Saturday night. We made sure to get reservations ahead of time and were happy we did -- the place was quite busy when we arrived but we were seated within a few minutes. The menu had some interesting selections as well as classics. We ordered an appetizer, dinner, and dessert (gnocchi, salad, risotto, ice cream, and bread pudding). The food was good but nothing outstanding. Our waiter was a bit odd and we did not enjoy out interactions with him (although he was sweet and his intentions seemed good). Overall, I would return to this restaurant but will probably explore the vast number of options in the area first."

  • "I picked this restaurant based on the menu and I was not dissapointed. We shared risotto balls as an appetizer, and each had salads for dinner. We shared the cinnamon donuts for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious and there were multiple other items on the menu that make us want to come back. Our server was attentive and gave great recommendations. Can't wait to go back."

  • "Three friends arrived for brunch at 11 am on Sunday. Coffee was delivered promptly, but no cream. The creamer came. 20 minutes after the coffee. Also, our order was a little mixed up at first, although another server straightened things out very fast. Considering how delicious the food was and how I crowded the place was when we arrived, things should have been better. The food was remarkable, the eggs Benedict using crab cakes in place of the Ham was inspired."

  • "Chef Geoff's is my favorite restaurant. I give work seminars at this restaurant and eat lunch here a few times per week. The food is excellent. This restaurant is great for a work lunch, Sunday brunch or a date night. It's family friendly and clean."

  • "If you haven't been to this restaurant yet, you should give it a try. The food is good and the drinks are okay. The ambiance is nice. Overall I had a good experience and my server was nice. It's a little pricey, but not too bad. Btw, the baked apple sangria tastes like juice...not a good drink."

  • "The food and service were good, but I felt it was overpriced for the food we got. As with all the restaurants I've been to lately, this one was loud and made it hard to have a comfortable conversation. I went there for happy hour once and was pleased with the food, service and price. I'd go back for happy hour, not sure about dinner."

  • "The spinach salad and beet salad were delicious. The main courses fell short. The Seafood Bucatini Puttanesca was not Bucatini. It was plain spaghetti. Bucatini is a thicker spaghetti with a hollow center. The menu is not correct. There was not much flavor and the sauce was very watery. I had to ask for a bowl for the mussel shells. Have had better seafood pastas in red sauce in Bethesda that are less expensive and include a house salad with a much friendlier staff...Olazzo. The fish tacos were fine, but the fried plantains on the side were less than stellar. We have dined for years at the Chef Geoff's on New Mexico Avenue. But, over time the food quality has diminished. We will not be back. There are so many other options."

  • "I went to dinner with my friend to celebrate her birthday. The food and our server was excellent. However, prior to my arrival I called spoke with the hostess. I mentioned I had a reservation and she had trouble locating it. When she did, she just sat on the phone in silence and did not say anything. In fact started talking to a co-worker as a side conversation. When I finally I asked if she found it and she said she did I told her it was my friend's birthday and when we order dessert, I would like a candle on it. She said she would put a note on our reservation and would communicate it to the server. When our dessert came out, there was no candle, no note, and voice even saying Happy Birthday. I was upset."

  • "I took a client to dinner at Chef Geoff in Rockville on April 2nd. I wanted a great meal with a good atmosphere and I had used the restaurant in AU Park several times and had been favorably impressed. When we arrived at 6:30, no one was at the hostess station and we waited awkwardly for about three minutes until a waiter seated us. Our waitress, Virginia, was overburdened by too many tables, and botched our order. I ordered trout and got catfish tacos. However, it took so long to get our entrees, I took the tacos anyway. It also took so long to get the second glasses of wine, my client was done with his entrée when it arrived. Chef Geoff is normally a great restaurant, but this Rockville station needs some management attention to service."

  • "You can't beat half price burgers and 32 oz beers. The burgers are a great deal at regular price and during happy hour it is almost a steal. Also, my wife and I come here frequently and can always find something delicious on their seasonal menus."

  • "As to be expected, Chef Geoff has a great brunch menu and my group had a wonderful time. I had a group of 9, food came out really quick and the service was great. I have had dinner and happy hour here many times, this was my first brunch experience and it won't be my last."

  • "We always enjoy Chef Geoff. From the Mediterranean Trio to the fish tacos, pizzas and crab cakes, everything was expertly prepared and delicious. We also enjoyed our specialty drinks, which set the tone for the remainder of the evening."

  • "We went for lunch saturday as a party of two. I appreciated being seated before both of us were there. Service was attentive without being intrusive. I expected to have lunch but one of the Brunch menu options was too tempting to pass up. Brie stuffed French Toast with berries and maple syrup and a side of maple sausage links. Presentation was clean. The portion was just right and it was a successful pairing of some unexpected ingredients. My friend had a substitute of chicken sausage which was nothing special. I think part of that was they were sliced and the slices were too thin. Coffee was good and tasted freshly made. Overall a pleasant experience for a liesurely saturday."

  • "The menu was deiivered as the "new spring menu", also new was a 20% increase in the sunset special with fewer choices than before. Will lstill dine there but not so often."

  • "I had dinner with a friend and sampled the new Spring menu. While I'm not happy that my favorite pizza is not on this menu, I had the salmon and it was fantastic! I have enjoyed Chef Geoff's since it's opening and I was not let down this time."

  • "Hard to order. Menu a bit strange. Ordered simple a steak and it was about half inch thick. For the cost it was ridiculous! It was average overall- would not go back. For the price there are much better options!"

  • "They have a nice diverse brunch menu. For about $8 more you can also get a cup of coffee and a juice, mimosa or Bloody Mary. Be sure to try the different spreads that are served with the complimentary biscuits."

  • "I can't tell express how long it's been since I've had such a totally satisfying restaurant experience. I am so used to being disappointed that I had become jaded and had forgotten what was supposed to happen when I had a reservation to a restaurant. Here is what DID happen at Chef Geoff's - We arrived, were shown to a table immediately that was set up and waiting for us, Bus boys came right away with water, etc, and visited us MANY times during the meal to attend to our water and whisk plates away, The waitress was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable about the menu, and helpful. We had several special requests to our order, yet the food came EXACTLY as we had ordered it. The food was delicious. EVERYTHING was perfect! Imagine!"

  • "4 of us took a new employee to lunch and had a great time. Fast, attentive service so important for a work lunch, good food, friendly waiter. I had fish tacos - so nice to have a good tortilla wrapping the mild fish. I could have had it a little more spicey but that's just me. I should have asked for hot sauce! :-) Mediterranean Trio appetizer was the best."

  • "This was our second time at Chef Geoff's Rockville, and we enjoyed our meal as much as the first time. I had the spinach salad with a perfectly done tuna, and a nice chardonney. My wife had the croque madame; it was a little hard to eat because of the egg on top of crusty bread, but was delicious. We really appreciated the quiet. Our only complaint was the cold draft where we were seated. Innovative menu and high quality food."

  • "First time: We dined on 22 MAR 2014 with some friends visiting MD area. My beef medallions was cooked perfectly but you could tell that it had been sitting under cooking lights or just sitting around to be delivered to the table. It was dry on the top and not hot, barely warm. They were busy that night so this is probably why my medallions looked dry, not freshly cooked. The waitress asked if I wanted to send back to the kitchen. I said no. I didn't like that the plates and items on the table didn't get removed and when our dinner came to the table they had to rush and get someone to clean it off. It should had been cleaned way before that since we had finished appetizers for quite awhile. Desserts were good but they ran out of Cheesecake."

  • "Friends from out of town were very impressed. They accomodated us quickly when we had one extra person which was great on a Friday night. Food was great, the front section was quieter than some other parts of the restaurant which was nice."
