The restaurant was right across the street from the Warner and less than a block from the parking garage. The salads and seafood were fresh and prepared well. Fried oysters and the best pork roast / chop that I have had in a long time. One daughter had the scallop salad, the other had a buger, both were delicious. Upon making the reservation, I made the hostess aware of this & I also mentioned it to my server. I was expecting mediocre service along w/a special menu, since our dinner was free. It was quite the opposite. Dinner was fantastic & the entire staff couldnt have been friendlier. We left our server a 30% tip based on what our entire meal would've been.

Making reservations for a party of five in advance was definitely worth it since they were able to get us to our booth as soon as everyone arrived. The menu was diverse enough that everyone was able to find something that they liked, and the portions were good. The gouda grits were among the best grits I've had (the portion was very generous, too). More vegetarian options would be nice, but they have a bean burger as well as pizzas. Look out for early in the week specials on food all day (and happy hours the rest of the week). Overall a very solid neighborhood choice for a sit-down restaurant. STAY AWAY when this place is crowded. My family and I had to yell at each other (literally) to be heard and it was horrible. We were tucked in the little back room where noise bounces around like none other. The service was excellent (from the reservations desk throughout), and we received our food and dessert swiftly. The quality of the food was fabulous! I don't remember the waiter's name, but he was excellent! You can share this comment with him by tracking the servers on Friday, April 26th. Portions are very large so the excellent soup and entree (shrimp and grits) would have been plenty. But we also ordered the Mediterranean Trio appetizer which was almost a meal in itself. Our 7:45 reservations were promptly honored and we were seated in a nice, intimate booth. Our host didn't provide a drink menu, just a minor misstep to begin, but it was easily overcome when we mentioned it to our waitress who arrived within 2 minutes of our having been seated. I opted for the Vesper Martini (gin, vodka, lillet blanc, lemon zest), which was really refreshing. We were a little disappointed that the menu hadn't changed much in the year and a half since our last visit, but we enjoyed everything we had. He asked if we were attending a show after diner and receiving our affirmative reply Josh ensured that our meal was delivered at an appropriate pace (we had an early reservation) but that we were finished at just the right time. The food was excellent. Calamari as good as I have been served in New England. The Saffron Risotto and Sesame Encrusted Tuna were prepared to perfection. However, the server seemed indifferent, disconnected and uninterested in our needs or experience in the restaurant. There were no errors with our order, but the whole experience was off because of his attitude. Not something I would want to repeat. Yet I'll go back to the restaurant, the menu was extensive and there are more wonderful sounding dishes I would like to try, but I will not sit in his section. The dishes we did have, the tuna appetizer, garlic steak frites, wild mushroom ravioli, and the jumbo shrimp sandwich were all very good.
