A choice spot for dinner. The menu has great choices and always a surprise when the specials are offered. If you like variation - try the game offerings. We were in a lot of conversation and even though it was crowded and busy, no one bothered us to leave. A go-to spot and go often.

I have been going here for 13 years. I still love everything about it. My favorite, jambalaya, is still the same delicious dish. Having it the next morning as a left-over was soooo good! The duck portion has increased and is cooked to perfection. The peanut butter crunch torte is delectable. The cheesecake is the best I've ever had. Now that I've moved back after living abroad for 3 years, I will be coming to Chef Fredy's more often. I always feel welcomed whether I go by myself or with others. Looking forward to another great meal.

We had been told by another local restrateur to try Freddy's, and we're glad we did! While the reviews of it being too noisy frightened us, we did not experience any negatives, and service and food were both very good. The mushroom ravioli were delicious, 2 in our group loved the salmon entree, and we all thought desserts were delicious, including triple espresso gelato!

Chef Fredy's is a great addition to the Morristown food scene. The menu is an interesting collection of continental items with a Latino flair. We ate here for the first time this past Saturday and were very pleased. The braised brisket ravioli and pork Osso Buco were notable. This is a BYOB establishment. The service was attentive and friendly. Definitely a keeper. This is a small place so make reservations, it was fully packed with people waiting in the halls while we were there.

Chef Freddy's has a very nice menu and everybody in our party enjoyed the food. However, the noise level was extreme. The restaurant was very busy on this Saturday night and we could hardly hear each other across the table. Service was very good but it took a little long to get our dinner. I would suggest that you avoid Saturday nights unless you want to yell across the table.

On Halloween I got an email from Chef Fredy's about a $32.95 three course special Halloween dinner. We had to ask about this special, it was not offered. Hmmm. Appetizers we selected were the calamari (flash fried and then tossed in a spicy sauce) was not to the liking of the person ordering since she does not like spicy, but the scallops and ravioli were good. The main courses (crab cake, pork shank, and surf and turf) were good if uninspired. Each protein was served with the same vegetable. Server was surly about the request for more veggies and no whipped potato. The days of a potato chip stuck in the potatoes are over. The decor is old. We have been fans of this place, but it's time for us to move on.

Outstanding food & service - we shared the Baked Brie appetizer - delicious - for entrees my wife enjoyed the St Thomas Fish Fillet over crabmeat cake while I savored the Rustic Style Chicken Pasta - both flavorful successful dishes served hot. Co-Owner Nestor introduced himself & served us our entrees personally. We highly recommend Chef Fredy's Table.

My pear salad had a nice presentation, but overall was a bit dull tasting. I ordered the Mixed Grill for dinner. Not seasoned much. The chicken w wild boar bacon was just ok, the sausage was very spicy and I could not eat the Bison because it was difficult to cut and impossible to chew. The sauce on the plate was without much flavor. The waiter (without prompting) offered me a free dessert and beverage when he saw that I could not eat the bison. The chocolate mousse w a few berries was the best part of the meal, but nothing I haven't had before. My husband and friend got the duck and said it was a good choice, but the vanilla cake fell short. $225 w tip--no liquor sold and we had no soft drinks. The place def need some fresh decor. 👎

This Latin American leaning menu offers foods not usually seen on small town menus, barramundi, bisonet al, served with an edible flower and plated like a work of art. Pleasant, knowledgeable wait staff make what would have been an unremarkable storefront dinner, a remarkable event. The noise level is moderate in the one tiny room at the right front of the restaurant and my party of older adults was happy to be seated there.

Excellent service from entry to exit, including handling of wine (BYOB), knowledge of menu, description of specials, overall friendliness. Other aspects of the visit fell short. Clever menu with good ingredients cooked "properly" but oddly excessive use of seasonings and spices across the board -- e.g., seafood risotto downing in Old Bay seasoning and venison special in what TASTED like Mexican-style mole sauce. Not the restaurant's fault, but ambience was overwhelmed by very loud guy at adjacent table entertaining his companions with crude language and inappropriate stories. If we return, it will be midweek. Local parking on weekends is near impossible, even in recommended hotel garage across the street.

It's really rather rare to have the kind of waitstaff who are so attentive that they note exactly the right moments to bring out each plate, but never seem overbearing or overzealous. It's also rare to have every dish be a gem - but every dish was. Three gorgeous appetizers, ranging from seafood to boar sausage in bacon. Two beautiful main courses - one perfectly rare tuna steak, one tasty duckling. The duckling was, perhaps, cooked a tad too long. But that didn't detract from an absolutely wonderful, thoroughly romantic meal. There was also a very courteous handling of our slightly complex BYOB situation. We felt not only well cared-for, but also very much cared about.

After reading all the positive reviews my fiance and I were really looking forward to our meal here. I wasn't bothered by a lack of bread (they give you a single wedge each) but if you like your carbs you may feel let down. We tried two appetizers, the quail and the baked brie. The quail was fine if unmemorable while the brie was enjoyable, however the bread that came with the brie wasn't toasted at all. I had the duck (overcooked) and my fiance had the bacon wrapped buffalo (chewier than expected). We decided to pass on dessert and I'd recommend passing on Chef Fredy's

This was a great dining experience. The menu was creative without being too busy. Fried calamari but put in a really surprising sauce - bit of bite, olives - Lovely. Bison nicely cooked and cabernet sauce - very good. Monkfish with a delicate sauce that complimented rather than overshadowed the fish. Beautiful presentation, fabulous service - friendly attentive and all the waiters seemed to have a good clique. Atmosphere is romantic, no views - just a well furnished dining room.

It was a last minute decision to try this resaurant. Figured with the customized menu it would be interesting, butit fell a bit flat. The calamari with balsamic made it limp and too flavored. It should be simplified. The rest of the meal was ok, but at times didn't feel very customized. As for the service a good team, but at times seemed to rush through service without the need. There were only 10% of tables even with people. And for the decor, could use a refresh as well.

A terrific find that this is truly 'old school' (as another reviewer said..) and in all the best of ways, with none of the caveats. Authentic reduction sauces, perfect temps w/the meat and seafood, Jumbo Shrimp huge and tender! Butter like Filet of beef, a great pork chop stuffed with spinach mushroom and smoked gouda, still finished 'pink', veggies al dente' ...Bravo!! The service was very European and attentive, every course brought fresh silverware with the earlier course removed,apps/salads were split in the kitchen to offer a reasonably priced lengthy dinner I am an Executive Chef for over 35 years.. this place is a Wow! AND..you bring your own wine with proper glassware. Bon Appetite and Salut To Chef Freddys!

Having been to the restaurant when it was Tim Shafer's and always being impressed, we had been let down previously after the ownership shifted, but still the food was very good and we often recommended the restaurant to friends. Now officially relaunched as Chef Fredy's Table, we thought there would be changes. Unfortunately, the decor was the same and dated, the service was very disappointing as we waited between courses with a distracted waiter. Both of our entree's were also bland and even tasteless. My husband did not even finish his entree. We left while waiting over 15 minutes for the waiter to return for our dessert order.

The wait staff were top notch, picked up plates and silverware after each course, they were personable and professional and did not rush us. One of them went to the liquor store next store to help my friend chose a bottle of wine!! The good was fabulous and the presentation was beautiful. We had calamari and lobster ravioli for appetizers, stuffed pork chop and mixed grill for entrees and chocolate mousse and bread pudding for dessert everything was just delicious and we couldn't help eye the other plates that passed by already picked what I will have next time!
