The location is easy to find, and while parking can be a challenge during peak hours, you'll find yourself in the middle of a minor irony. The restaurant is trendy, but packed; appears approachable but offers an upscale menu; delivers a sometimes 5-star menu, with a 3.5 star price. All said, you will either love Cheever's Cafe or hate it. But to be honest, you probably won't know until you try. And this is certainly worth tasting several of the unique dishes before passing judgement. It had a wonderful flavor and wasn't hot at all. My husband NEVER eats chicken fried steak. I encouraged him to try a taste of it and he said, "I don't like chicken fried steak but that is really good. I am not a big fan of calamari, but we ordered some and it was delicious! It was not oily from the deep frying and very tender. The dinner rolls brought out before the main dishes tasted of Italian seasoning and were also very good. Our server even brought a second bowl of them after our party polished off the first bowl. Our main dishes were all very good as well. We found ourselves sharing tastes of our dishes with each other. Portions were a bit large, but very little food was left to take home after our meal.
