The experienced restaurateurs behind Baltimore’s most celebrated Italian restaurant, the Vitale family of Aldo’s Ristorante Italiano, paired up with Oscar-nominated actor Chazz Palminteri to serve up homemade Italian-American classics like Veal Parmigiana, a famous Signature Veal Meatball, and specialties like hand-formed burrata mozzarella... all served alongside award-winning Bronx-style pizza, baked in a custom coal-fired oven that reaches up to 1,000 degrees. Everything is made fresh, in-house, daily: homemade fresh pasta, pizza, desserts… even fruit juice used to make handcrafted cocktails is fresh-squeezed twice daily.   • "First and most important our waitress was delightful. She was so kind and thoughtful, knowledgeable and accommodating. Our food was as described in the brunch menu and was just as appetizing. We are four retired teachers from Baltimore County so we had a lot of conversations going on and stayed nearly four hours. We didn't feel rushed, we felt very welcome. I would return anytime!"

With so much great italian music, throw in a song or tow now and then. Second, put a cople of Italian wines by the glass on your wine list. Certainly not reason enough to stay away, because our server, Dave was fantastic!"

  • "The service started slow and it was 10 minutes after we were seated before we got a server. Once she showed up we were well treated and she was very friendly and helpful.Food was very good as it was basic Italian. Wife really liked the Salmon on the cannelloni beans and my penne was very tasty. had a bottle of wine which we had before and overall the prices were realistic. Nothing fancy it was a local restaurant."

  • "I don't normally think of Chazz for brunch based on their dinner menu but what a great surprise. Interesting menu of items like a steak and eggs breakfast pizza and lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes. Whatever you order, include a pitcher of mimosas to sip and enjoy as well since noting beats fresh OJ to balance out the brunch. A great deal for a large pitcher that everyone can share. We will go back again and try something else as there were so many wonderful selections."

  • "It was ok. We were seated 15-20 minutes before we asked if a waiter could come to the table. When the waiter came he was apologetic and kind. He too was slow and forgetful. I won't recommend to friends, and I don't plan to return."

  • "We bought a Groupon to try out Chazz. The Groupon was for brunch. My husband had the salmon benedict and I had the crab benedict. The presentation for both was beautiful. My husband loved the salmon and would definitely order it again. It wasn't that the crab cake wasn't good, it just wasn't what we expect when you order a crab cake in Baltimore. It had a strong pimento (I think?) flavor and it somewhat overpowered the crab cake itself. The Groupon included a pitcher of mimosas and it was quite delicious. Our server was very attentive. We enjoyed the atmosphere. We would definitely go back."

  • "The pizza was tasty but the Chicken Marsala, salad, and bread where average and not worth it. Our server was horrible. You couldn't hear her speak over the noise of the place. She was slow and she seemed to not understand us either. I think she's in the wrong profession. My husband found a very small screw in his pizza and the manager said it happens all the time due to the hot oven breaking equipment (maybe order some new equipment, dude?). They gave us a new pizza but didn't comp anything on the bill. The chicken, a side salad, a pizza (small to med size), a beer, a kid's pasta, a glass of wine, and a kid's milk came to $94 before tip. I could pay at least 1/2 of that at another pizza place and enjoy it more."

  • "Fabulous casual Italian restaurant; we had outstanding coal-oven pizza, great mussels and terrific asparagus ravioli. Wait staff was attentive, although not distinctly professional, but given the casual nature of the resturant, the service did not detract at all from the experience. Location is really between Harbor East and Fells Point, so parking in Harbor East meant walking a few blocks, which was fine for an early summer evening (might be a different experience in winter)."

  • "On a slow Wednesday evening at 7:30, with a reservation, waited 25 minutes for service. There were only four other tables of diners. Cocktails were watery, restaurant was very warm (maybe the a/c want working?) Server did her best to make up for the very slow start after we asked if service would be as slow throughout the meal. For the most part, food was very good, especially the calamari appetizer and funghi pizza. Pasta was over cooked and hard in spots. Might give it one more chance."

Other than that my husband and I love Chazz. Oh and valet would be nice during the daytime hours. Parking sucks down there."

  • "Experience at the restaurant was good. Pizza was out of this world. Went on a Wednesday wasn't very busy but I would recommend definitely going back. Cool Bar set up for a fun time with friends. Highly recommend ordering the pizza. You can build your own pizza and it's cooked in a wood burning stove. It's delicious."

  • "I have been wanting to try to this place because of the write ups that I have read, not word of mouth. My wife, son and I had used a Groupon for a brunch special, the inside of the place was not packed but it was extremely hard to hear in there, the music was way too loud for a Sunday brunch atmosphere. I ordered the Steak and Egg pizza, my wife and son ordered the Crab Benedict, the pizza arrived within minutes of placing the order, then nothing, then my son's lemonade, then nothing, then the pitcher of Mimosas, then nothing...finally the Crab benedict for my wife and son, the eggs on the benedict were just shy of being hard boiled. Our waitress English was not the best, however because of the noise level, it was a struggle to hear her."

Highly recommend Green Market Frittata with egg whites, however accompanying hash browns were more onion than potato...still quite tasty. Fellow diner had the breakfast salmon pizza which she said was quite good. Overall, a good dining experience made better by a Groupon coupon!"

  • "While the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant are excellent, everything else fell short. Our waiter was very friendly, but despite not seeming very busy (several empty tables around us), the wait times were a bit excessive. The calamari appetizer was way too salty (however, I enjoyed the peppers included with the dish), and the "green market frittata" was particularly bland. We also had the crab cake Benedict, which was just okay and seemed to have a lot of filler. Considering the reputation of the chef, I was very disappointed. I'm not what you'd call a "foodie" and generally enjoy the restaurants I visit, but Chazz fell far short of expectations (in fact, I'd even say the cooking fell short of my own minimal cooking skills)."

  • "The waitress was extremely slow. I asked for water with lemon wedge . The water was warm and she never bought the lemon wedges. Someone else had to bring the lemon wedges. The brunch included mimosa she never brought that the person who brought the food brought the mimosa."

It seems like most people there (including myself) were using a groupon and the wait staff seemed to think that justified slacking on their part. Our waiter took forever to come to initially come to our table and after our meals were delivered, they never stopped by to clear plates or even drop off the check even though it was obvious we had been done for quite some time. This is a place I had really been looking forward to going to and it was very disappointing. Unfortunately not a place I would consider going back to. "
