A word from Chazz: A Bronx Original
“Pizzas that have the perfect crust, the ideal char, the bubbles, and the good ingredients to compete with the BEST IN THE U.S.” --John Mariani of Esquire Magazine

The experienced restaurateurs behind Baltimore’s most celebrated Italian restaurant, the Vitale family of Aldo’s Ristorante Italiano, paired up with Oscar-nominated actor Chazz Palminteri to serve up homemade Italian-American classics like Veal Parmigiana, a famous Signature Veal Meatball, and specialties like hand-formed burrata mozzarella... all served alongside award-winning Bronx-style pizza, baked in a custom coal-fired oven that reaches up to 1,000 degrees. Everything is made fresh, in-house, daily: homemade fresh pasta, pizza, desserts… even fruit juice used to make handcrafted cocktails is fresh-squeezed twice daily. Featuring foods inspired by the Italian-American “neighborhood.” Guests can also enjoy wines from Southern Italy and vineyards beyond, homemade limoncello and craft beers on-tap.

I have been wanting to try to this place because of the write ups that I have read, not word of mouth. My wife, son and I had used a Groupon for a brunch special, the inside of the place was not packed but it was extremely hard to hear in there, the music was way too loud for a Sunday brunch atmosphere. I ordered the Steak and Egg pizza, my wife and son ordered the Crab Benedict, the pizza arrived within minutes of placing the order, then nothing, then my son's lemonade, then nothing, then the pitcher of Mimosas, then nothing...finally the Crab benedict for my wife and son, the eggs on the benedict were just shy of being hard boiled. Our waitress English was not the best, however because of the noise level, it was a struggle to hear her.

Food and wait staff were outstanding. Bloody Mary left a lot to be desired (very watered down with too much ice) but pitchers of mimosas were awesome! Highly recommend Green Market Frittata with egg whites, however accompanying hash browns were more onion than potato...still quite tasty. Fellow diner had the breakfast salmon pizza which she said was quite good. Overall, a good dining experience made better by a Groupon coupon!

We sat outside for dinner to enjoy the beautiful weather. We had excellent service, food was delicious and sangria was yummy! We visit Harbor East every few months and Chaz and try to stop in for a dinner or drinks and apps. Definit would recommend!

While the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant are excellent, everything else fell short. Our waiter was very friendly, but despite not seeming very busy (several empty tables around us), the wait times were a bit excessive. The calamari appetizer was way too salty (however, I enjoyed the peppers included with the dish), and the "green market frittata" was particularly bland. We also had the crab cake Benedict, which was just okay and seemed to have a lot of filler. Considering the reputation of the chef, I was very disappointed. I'm not what you'd call a "foodie" and generally enjoy the restaurants I visit, but Chazz fell far short of expectations (in fact, I'd even say the cooking fell short of my own minimal cooking skills).

The waitress was extremely slow. I asked for water with lemon wedge . The water was warm and she never bought the lemon wedges. Someone else had to bring the lemon wedges. The brunch included mimosa she never brought that the person who brought the food brought the mimosa.

Went for brunch and was quite disappointed with the service. It seems like most people there (including myself) were using a groupon and the wait staff seemed to think that justified slacking on their part. Our waiter took forever to come to initially come to our table and after our meals were delivered, they never stopped by to clear plates or even drop off the check even though it was obvious we had been done for quite some time. This is a place I had really been looking forward to going to and it was very disappointing. Unfortunately not a place I would consider going back to.

We brought friends from out of town who wanted to go to an Italian place. Instead of the typical Little Italy type Restuarant, we decided on Chazz and we were not disappointed!! We had a great time and 4 of the 5 in our party were very satisfied with their food selections. We will be back!

We've been to Chazz several times and always like it. On the Tuesday we went for dinner, it wasn't very busy but they were short two servers. My husband and I shared a veal meatball to start, then each ordered a pizza (plus one to take home to our son). The pizzas were good, but we're surprised that they weren't very hot. I attribute this to the staff shortage. Reheating the leftovers at home the next day really improved the flavor and texture. We will be back.

Took my wife for her first mothers day we were excited to try the food and see the spot. We anticipated the buffet but my wife thought some of the pasta was cold, waitress only offered us drinks once and wanted more out of the restaurant like she expected. I did as well experience cd food and was not crazy about having breakfast for our reservation at 4pm. Wished they gave more options as time of day changed. Also up front asked, when a Chazz employee called to confirm reservation, for a high chair or sling bc we were brining our baby and we were squeezed into a tight table next to another family without the high chair and room for it when the floor seemed opened.

Treated my son and daughter-in-law and their 2 children to a 10th anniversary dinner. They had heard good things about Chazz and I had read good reviews also. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. The hostess was pleasant and our waitress was very personable. Unfortunately she was unable to give us a high level of service since she apparently had too many tables to wait on. The restaurant was not crowded and she initially was the only wait person. The food came in a reasonable time and was quite delicious. I had the potato pizza which was excellent and the bruschetta appetizer which was quite tasty. The chocolate cake with gelato was heavenly. The food was excellent but the service could have been better.

We tried Chaz for the first time and will be coming back again soon for another visit. The pasta was fresh and the sauce was outstanding. We loved the little bread and oil served with our meal. The portions are a nice size but not too huge like some restaurants. The pizza menu has some interesting looking creations that my wife wants to try.

My husband and I treated our daughters to a great brunch. Three of us are vegetarians and the selection of vegetables, pasta, fruit and salads was impressive. My husband enjoyed the meats at the carving station. I was raised in the Bronx and loved the photos of the city! Service was ok. Slow in removing dishes from table and took quite a while to get utensils. Overall a very nice restaurant in a nice area of Baltimore. Not too far to the harbour.

I love delicious food and I wasn't disappointed during my brunch experience at Chazz's. The cinnamon toast crunch french toast is a favorite (perfectly coated with and with a swirl of glaze on top). My friend had the Greenmarket frittata, fluffy and flavorful and complimented by the rosemary potatoes that were on the side. Chazz's has great drinks, as well. We enjoyed the Tuscan Sun, a perfect companion to a relaxed meal. Looking forward to going back in a few weeks.

I generally eat very healthy, organic, no preservatives. When I want to splurge I still want real food not processed items from a can or freezer bag. Chazz always delivers with its fresh pizza sauce and fine cheeses as well as their very own pasta made in house. With such quality ingredients even my cheats don't feel like a cheat. I enjoy my meal without feeling bad about it.

Went there for dinner on a Thursday evening. It was our first visit. The service was outstanding. Friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. The menu options were small but just enough. The pizza came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. I wish I had known before I made my dinner choices that they offered gluten-free crust. But I had the sausage and peppers as well as a selection from their fresh mozzarella bar and it was spectacular. Good size portions. I recommend the mushroom pizza and prosciutto pizza. The roasted beet salad was delicious. The restaurant was not too crowded but they were only seating in the bar area which was a bit noisy with two TV's going. Recommend that you ask for seating in general dining area.

After waiting for about 15 minutes after we were seated, our waitress walked over, did not say hello or introduce herself, and just looked at us waiting for our order. It appeared that there was a discussion about whose table we were, and she brought her negative attitude to our table. Then we ordered drinks and appetizers. (2) of the (3) appetizers arrived before all of our drinks arrived, and then when the waitress did deliver the drinks, we were told that the clams were sold out and we wouldn't be getting our 3rd appetizer. I have never experienced anything like this and I'm a foodie who eats out often and at the best restaurants that we can find. The food was very good but the management has to get a grip on the customer service.

NY style pizza was delicious - the bread that was brought out before the main course was flavorless and tasted a little stale though. The waitress was not very attentive or personable but we still tipped her well - figured she was having a rough night. Overall I would recommend dining here. My husband & I came here with another couple. The seating arrangements were tight. The service was great! The meatball in the gravy was delicious and the risotto balls. We also got the bruschetta which the appearance was pretty, the bread was a little hard. I think it needed more balsamic to soak in. We got a pepperoni pizza and a margarita pizza.
