One of our dinner companions ordered the Dragon Roll, upon the suggestion of the bartender, (I didn't realize Chaya offered sushi!) and said it was fantastic. My other two companions had the always top-notch filet mignon (cooked to perfection), and I couldn't resist the Duck Breast which was great as usual, although the portion a bit small for the price. Maybe a more substantial side dish would have rounded out the duck better. Again, cooked to perfection and delicious. And the special grilled peach and Buratta salad was fabulous! They like other restaurants have had ups and downs but this last evening was superb. Their classic menu items were delicious, beautifully served and prepared and the staff was first class.

The bolognese is very good, the chicken was just so-so. The beets in the beet salad were good, but the endive was so bitter it nearly ruined the entire thing. Service was very good (much better than my previous experience). The sushi plate presentations are lovely and delicious. Soups Are wonderfully seasonal and well prepared. I had the shrimp po-boy sandwich....a bit too much bread, but weelseasones a la New Orleans. With their fusion menu,one could never have a bad dining experience at Chaya. My boyfriend ordered the filet mignon. This is normally not a cut of meat I like, but it was cooked perfectly and quite flavorful.
