We had another great meal at the
Chato. Mushroom soup was excellent. I had the chicken and he had the salmon, both were well prepared. Amber C our waitress was excellent and knowledgeable."

we had brunch on sunday at the
restaurant, with a party of six people. our food was incredible, but the service was absolutely horrendous. our waitress rolled her eyes several times (that we all witnessed) as she made her way to our table. we waited 30 minutes for our drink order, and she brought the drinks two at a time. she didn't remember who had ordered which drinks, and we were not given nor offered refills until we asked for it. everything seemed like such a huge inconvenience to the waitress. while we would like to dine again at this restaurant since the food was so good, i am not sure that we will since we can get much better service at any number of brunch venues in town."

Every time I've taken someone to
Chato Brassiere it is a memorable experience. The staff is always very professional, attentive without begin intrusive, they never fail to make wonderful suggestions in regard to the menu. The best dessert soufflees I have ever put in my mouth, and the flavor is consistently changing--I've never had the same flavor twice -- tiramisu is amazing! Perfectly cooked entrees, paired wonderfully with excellent side items; I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!"

Entire experience was superb. I
had the filet with crab cake. Meat was cooked exactly as ordered. Oddly, the standout of the the night was the salad: wedge with tomato, blue cheese, onion rings, and bacon vinaigrette. The vinaigrette was perfectly tangy. Will definitely eat here again."

Always appreciate the staff and
food. Have yet to have any meal that wasn't anything but a delight. Attentive staff from entering the door to leaving after a wonderful meal."

Very nice place to dine, service
has been always great and very friendly staff. I enjoy the brunch in particular. It's not your typical brunch, you order off the menu and I personally love the Chicago and any of the Benedict's. Mimosa 's are my favorite also. Highly recommend"

We have been here numerous times.
The food and service has always been excellent."

We had a wonderful meal at Chato
Brasserie. I had the Diver Scallops with lobster risotto. The risotto was rich and the scallops were perfectly prepared. My husband had the Short Ribs and a Caesar. He said both were really good and he liked the preparation of the salad. Our service was excellent both at our table and the bar. We will be back and highly recommend it."

What a wonderful restaurant for
brunch; the different types of Eggs Benedict won me over. I will be back! The food is well-presented, fresh, and delicious. It is also reasonably priced - it is a gem."
Dined on 1/5/2014
We had a great brunch but our
server kept disappearing although it was very crowded at that time, overall a good experience."

Had a great night out with my
niece. We decided to do a taster's run thru the small and medium plates. The Steak Tartare was an incredibly tasty and rich bite. Sweetbreads were very good, everything really. There were 2 stars though. The Peanut Brittle Souffle with the butterscotch sauce...always, ALWAYS order the souffle here. Most importantly, L.T. provides unbelievable service. We sat and ate at the bar when we saw her there because she is that good. Highly recommend this place. As a lover of Chattanooga cuisine, it ranks among my "go to" short list."

With its pricey menu by local
standards, Chato Brasserie is more of a special occasion treat for us. We were the very first table seated for a 5:30 reservation. Service was excellent, as always. My wife's entree was excellent, though my filet mignon was badly undercooked (rare vs. medium requested, it was purple inside) and it still wasn't up to the proper temperature after additional broiling, though it was edible. We will be back, though I might try something other than beef for future meals. The chocolate dessert was very rich and more likely something to share rather than eat alone. We will be back."

Wonderful brunch, great food and
good service. Had a coupon and will definitely return for full price."

Great little eatery in the bottom
of a condo development on the north shore in chattanooga. It's more of a special occasion place for us but the food certainly rivals any of the best in town. I think St. Johns still has them beat but not by much. Everything flows very well. We ordered apps, salad, and entrees and they seemed to be timed perfectly. Would recommend this place to anyone."

This was our first time at Chato
and it lived up to the recommendations we'd heard. Very quiet but lively. Terrific service, food and beverages. Will definitely put it on our return list!"

Bellinis, mimosas, beignets, oh
my! Everything we tried was fresh and delicious. The Austin and the beignets would be a recommendation to anyone!"

This restaurant was ok! It bad...
The service was fine and the meal was ok, but nothing really special!"

Interesting menu selections, great
food and service, nice atmosphere, great for special occasions."

We began our very nice evening by
sitting at the bar. LT does a wonderful job mixing traditional cocktails with a bit of different spin. The bar is open and airy with access to an outside patio area. We were seated for dinner and were allowed to peacefully chat while enjoying creative appetizers. Our entrees were special with sweet diver scallops, savory pork and lamb as big hits. I heartily recommend Chato to anyone who wants a well prepared meal, creative cocktails and excellent service all at a reasonable price."

Found this restaurant via Open
Table and was pleasantly surprised. In town to visit son and happened to be on our wedding anniversary so needed a good recommendation. We arrived early for our reservation but were immediately seated with a prepared table and greeted by friendly staff. Cocktails and appetizers (recommended by waiter) were excellent. The menu has a great variety for everyone and the food is well described. Everyone picked a different item and all were excellent meals. Plenty of food. Desserts were shared souffle which was perfectly prepared! Highly recommend."

Very nice place, initially
intimidated by word of mouth reputation as snooty upscale but far from that. Very friendly and attentive bar staff. Great experience."
Dined on 12/30/2012
We dined at this restaurant on a
recent trip to Chattanooga. It was our first time and chosen based on online reviews. We weren't disappointed. The food was excellent -- very fresh and creatively prepared. Service was excellent. Wine by the glass was limited and pricey. In the future, I would bring my own and pay the corkage. Signature cocktails looked interesting, but we didn't try any -- again, based on price. We considered "patio" dining, but when we arrived, the outdoor dining is simply tables set in front of the restaurant facing a parking lot. Needless to say, we chose an indoor table and it was perfect."

The entire night was wonderful and
full-court attentive. Every member of the team was engaged with our service and enjoyment of our experience."

We had a chance to speak with one
of the executive chef's after dinner. He's from Chicago also and very friendly."
Dined on 8/4/2013
Drew is a great server, and we
appreciated his suggestions (they were spot on!!). The food is fantastic. We will be asking for Drew the next time we're there."

The food and the service at Chatto
are always excellent. We have been there many times and have never been disappointed."
Dined on 7/7/2013
Three adult diners thoroughly
enjoyed their brunch selections, including "Big Island", "Eggs Benedict Sardou" and the day's soup, "Gazpacho." This was our third visit and we all were pleased that the typically delicious food was served hotter this time and on warmed plates. We look forward to returning. It's also nice that this restaurant accepts reservations."

This place is wonderful. The food
was delicious, especially the Spinach Fettuccine. Ambiance and service were perfect. Highly recommend the Elderflower Soufflé - it takes 20 minutes to prepare and is the perfect end to a lovely dining experience. Chattanooga is lucky to have this fine quality dining."
Dined on 6/28/2013
We go to ChatO about once a week
and love it. This time, however, the server was the problem - My entrée was tuna and tasted very fishy. I explained that I just couldn't eat it.The waiter offered no alternative, did not ask what else I might want to eat, and then charged another table's bill to our credit card (along with our dinner charge). It will be a while before we return."
Dined on 6/27/2013
We beat the evening rush on
Saturday by dining at 5:30 pm. Our waiter was attentive and answered questions about specific menu selections in detail. The food came out in a timely manner and we never felt rushed."
Dined on 6/23/2013
We were blown away by the
excellent dinner. We have the Atlantic salmon and an evening special swordfish. Both were as good as it gets. The wine list was limited but with several reasonably priced selections of whites and reds and a cellar list that was top drawer and expensive to match. Definately a place we will return to for a special dinner."
Dined on 6/23/2013
We tried this restaurant the first
week it opened and had a terrible experience. W thought we would try it again. The food was good, but we were shocked that we were charged for bread! The waiter was too pretentious. Our initial feeling were right...there are much better restaurants in Chattanooga."
Dined on 6/22/2013
While the wait was a bit long and
the owner/manager accidentally skipped us in seating, he explained his mistake and ordered complimentary beignets for us. The food was delicious with ample portions and the service excellent, one of the best brunches we've every enjoyed, that's saying a lot, having had brunch numerous times in New Orleans. I would heartily recommend Chato Brasserie."
Dined on 2/24/2013
Anither great evening at Chatto
Brasserie. The food was exceptional and our waiter, Ben, did a tremendous job. Great wine selection and the dessert was unbelievable. By far one of the best restaurants in Chattanoga!"
Dined on 6/2/2013
Our second time here and it was as
good as the first. The food was excellent as well as the service. The staff was attentive and responsive. The menu was a little different which we liked. There were many choices. Good wine list too. This will definitely be one of our regulars."
Dined on 5/29/2013
I have been several times and had
better food - this time the food seemed average at a high price. The portions were small, and not all meals arrived at the same time (not really acceptable for a party of 4). It just wasn't anything special for the price paid, but nothing notably bad"
Dined on 5/4/2013
The food and service at this
restaurant was very good. The prices were pretty expensive, especially given the small portions. A side salad costing $7, consisted of a few pieces of lettuse, a cherry tomato, a few bacon bits and a poached egg. You won't walk away hungry, but you certainly won't have any leftovers to take home. All the staff were extremely friendly, and it iwas quiet, but no view of any kind."

We love everything about this
awesome restaurant. We have had dinner here several times and its always great! My husband had the diver scallops and they were perfectly prepared and delicious. I had the salmon and it was beautifully tender and delicious. I have also been for brunch and it is as just as wonderful as dinner!! I can't wait to go back."
Dined on 4/30/2013
