  • "Considering how busy the area was and how packed the restaurant was, we got right in within 5 min of arriving. Great service, good food, yummy drinks... we had a great experience. Thank you Chart House!"

  • "Chart House was nicely located for being so close to Waikiki. The Marina view was a nice change and the food was very good, albeit a little pricey. But that's HNL for you."

  • "Outdated, below average food taste and quality. Tried mahi mahi, steaks, different potatoe dishes-all were very tasteless. The good news is - its cheap by Hawaii standards. And there is a view of the Marina and sunset."

  • "Constantly had to remind wait staff to refill drinks & drink orders. Food was fair but not worth the money we paid. when you spend as much as we did for a meal I DO NOT WANT TO HAVING A SCREAMING CHILD NEXT TO ME! Crowded eight of us into a small table. Ate at this restraunt in the past and service & food were always good, not anymore."

  • "Our group ordered one entree and several starters. The staff did a nice job of bringing dishes in a logical order. the food was prepared well and was very good. The waitstaff worked well with us o create our own tasting menu which worked out quite well for us."

  • "I informed it that it was a honeymoon. I suppressed the window seat. It was the clean setting sun. I gave dessert free."

  • "5 star prices for a 2 star meal and with poor service. We were seated 20 minutes after our reservation time, a little longer wait than I would expect for having reservations. We were seated and given menus and immediately asked if we would care to order a drink before having had a chance to review the wine list. The wine list offered a nice variety of wines but had the worst selection of "by the glass" offerings I have ever seen. We were never given bread until I asked for it AFTER our meal arrived and it tasted old. Our meal came quickly, which should have been a clue. The steak was over seasoned, the lobster was over cooked, and the potatoes were cold, flavorless, and pasty. We'll never return. There are much better places for the money."

  • "This restaurant was walking distance from our hotel and is straight across from the marina in Waikiki. We were seated right on time after arriving about 15 minutes early. The lounge was great with live music and attentive servers. But that was all that was on time. Our waiter kept disappearing and it was a wait to get a menu, then a wait to order, then a wait to order another drink and finally a wait to get the check. We finally had to ask another waiter to find our waiter so we could pay. Everyone was very friendly. The food was good and was brought out in a reasonable amount of time but didn't seem up to the price paid.. But it is Waikiki so that's to be expected. Not sure if we'd go again."

  • "We went out for dinner on our first day in Honolulu. We made a reservation at 6:30pm, so it was a little late for sunset...but we seated the outside table and we could enjoy the view of the harbor. The staff there was very friendly and they explained the menu for us. The food was all good and the prime rib steak was relally good. The dish was a little big for Japanese...but we enjoyed it. We will visit there again when we come back to Waikiki."

  • "This restaurant was vibrant and alive with customers for the NYE rush. All servers, hostesses, busboys were attentive, friendly, quick, friendly and relaxed on what could easily have been a stressful night. The food was great- loved the special holiday menu options. We were not expecting a balcony table, which made it all the more special. It was our anniversary and we were serenaded to. I would love to return for any occasion."

  • "We're frequent Hawaii and Waikiki visitors. Our regular hotel is the Waikiki Prince (more than 20 separate stays over the years) so we get to the Chart House at least once a visit. The sunset setting over the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor is tough to beat. But what used to be a great though pricey meal worthy of a visit has steadily deteriorated to what is now still pricey but only so-so meal. This place is long in tooth and could stand a top to bottom update. You're better off spending your upscale dining dollar at Morimoto's across the street."

  • "We made a reservation for 3 @ 6pm on 12/25. The place was packed when we got there because of Christmas. Waited for about 20 minutes until we got the seat. Not too bad. My kid was deadly asleep so was anxious what kind of seat we would get, but we got the round table with sofa seat around, facing the bay so was perfect!. My wife and I ordered Rib Eye steak, stuffed mushroom and couple raw oysters. They've also gave us plastic containers for us to keep some for my kid to take home even before the meal came and that was very nice of them. They had a waitress who spoke perfect Japanese so my wife felt really home too. And needless to say... the Food was just FABULOUS!! Great Food, great Staff, and great view... what else do you need? :)"

  • "This restaurant not was pretty run down. Drinks were served by a different person then our waiter (except for the wine). This caused pretty shoddy drink service. Food was hit or miss, some meals were great while others pretty bad. My daughters steak was great, but served after the other five of us were finished with our meals. Not even an apology for that. Save your money and go elsewhere!"

  • "Lovely meals with the set menus and good choices available, sadly nothing Christmassy at all and it was Christmas Day. Food came very quickly which want ideal as with 4 courses we wanted to take our time. The food was lovely though."

  • "A beautiful sunset looking through the yachts, as always the food and service was wonderful! Best Oyster Rockefeller any where!"

  • "We greatly enjoyed the location. It was close to the hotel we stayed in. The atmosphere was enjoyable. The waiter was very friendly and the food was good as usual. The only negative is it was very noisy because of a loud group in the same room. It made it hard for us to have a romantic evening to celebrate a special occasion. They need private rooms for big groups"

  • "The view is spectacular as you can look out and not only enjoy the sunsets but also the Marina. It's pricey but the food is very good if you're looking for steak or seafood dishes."
    Dined on 11/28/2013
  • "Service was good and not too noisy. We sat out looking at the marina which was nice. There is parking next door which they will validate but the hostess didn't tell us when we called to ask about parking. We had the prix fix sunset (?) meal for 30.50 - a good bargain. I had the clam chowder, NY steak and creme brulee, my wife had a salad. The chowder was ok - not much in the way of clams, but not out of a can at least. The steak was a little fatty, and slightly undercooked, but was fine. Desert was fine but nothing special. Bottom line: the food was decent but nothing spectacular, but was decent and it was a very good deal."
