Chart House - TampaSpecial Occassion SuccessWe recently celebrated a special occasion with dinner at CH along with another couple, old friends. First, pre-reviewing the menu and making the dinner reservations on line is a great convenience, and we felt warmly expected when we arrived.
We enjoyed a beautiful view and an expansive menu selection, although pricey. The service was genuinely friendly and attentive and we felt unhurried. This was not our first visit to CH and we will look forward to another future visit.

A bit pricey but I guess it was worth it overall. They printed happy birthday on the menus for our table of four. Not even a free dish of ice cream or a happy birthday song was offered....:(
Probably would not return there again....asI do not live in the area, just visiting Tampa for my birthday! Although I would recommend it for special occasions!! Great selections on menu prepared many ways. We brought our own wine (corking fee $20) but typically they had a nice wine list. Our server was great. Very personable and made good suggestions.

The waiter was super nice considering we sat there for 3 hours and just had lunch, some cocktails, and dessert. Unfortunately someone from the restaurant accidentally dropped a full plate of steak and potatoes on my husband's back while we were eating. My husband is a good sport and made light of it, but he was a mess and we had to change our plans and cone home after dinner. We did get apologies and they comped our dessert (which seemed kind of cheap considering what happened) and offered to pay for dry cleaning, which we won't pursue bc the shirt cleaned up ok, but what a nightmare!!! And on our anniversary! We'll still return to the restaurant. Food is good and location is great. Think the manager that night was a bit inexperienced in handling these types of things. You can eat outside or inside. On the inside the tables were spaced nicely with a nice quiet ambience. The appetizers were delicious - the tuna and the crabcake. The spring rolls were good. The cooking of fish and seafood was not consistent. The salmon and scallops were cooked perfectly. Another fish was totally overdone. The desserts were very good.
