Thank you Chart House for providing the perfect setting to celebrate my fiance's birthday Oct 26, 2014. We really enjoyed your restaurant. And it was such a nice touch recieving our menu with a "Happy Birthday turning 41!" at the top of the menu! Our waitress was wonderful providing us with excellent service! The food was fantastic! But most of all, it was the perfect time of day to have a window seat watching the sunset, then with the beautiful skyline of downtown San Antonio! We will always look back with very fond memories of our dinner! Thank you!

My husband and I took our two sons to the Tower to eat Sunday. The view is amazing! The food was very good, but very expensive. We had a great time. We knew it was not going to be inexpensive, so my only real complaint was the waiter. We felt like he was constantly trying to get the bill higher. He asked more than once about appetizers, more than once about adding salad or a side to our dinner, more than once about having dessert and I ran out of times to count how many times I was asked if I wanted more wine. Also while we were eating he reached around each of us to remove what utensils we were not using. It was awkward. Other than that, it was worth it.

I expected so much more as the food is concerned. I paid $150 for a meal that would've tasted better at Friday's for $40. Honestly the view is beautiful but there is a lounge on another floor that may be a better fit because the Chart House was less than stellar. The sangria was so watered down...I thought I was drinking iced tea instead of wine.

This is an excellent restaurant. the ambiance was amazing and the service was second to none. I would not advise going here coming near closing hours. I had a reservation for 10pm and most of the entre options were out. The waiter was excellent in assisting to try to find a dish that was suitable to my liking however the insufficient stock was rather disappointing. The ambience and the amazing view made up for some of the disappointment with lack of options on the menu due to no stock. However the overall experience was great and the desert was delicious! I would recommend to others.

We walked from the hotel and arrived nearly an hour early. The staff were accommodating, and seated us almost immediately. I had requested a happy birthday menu for my girlfriend. Everyone from the front desk to the waiter greeted her by name and wished her a happy birthday. The steaks were perfect, the sunset spectacular.

I took my friends who were celebrating their 25th Wedding Anniversay and had never been to the Towers . It was a huge success! The staff accommodated my request to make this very special. We had a beautiful table at the window looking out at a gorgeous sunset. The waiter was exceptional in his attention, the food excellent, the wine perfect! Thank you for making this a very special evening!

As soon as we walked in the service was phenomenal! Our server, Ozzy, treated us like royalty and gave us the utmost best service ever! Our server recommended that my fiance to get Salmon and for me get the Chicken Francese. Hands down, these entrees were the best that we EVER have had. We were in heaven as we looked out into the San Antonio Sky and enjoyed our exquisite food. As the restaurant rotated, we savored the Luccio Moscato wine and enjoyed our romantic getaway. Now, as a non-chocolate lover I could not keep my hands off the signature Hot Chocolate Lave Cake. To die for! Overall the experience was out of this world and we are already planning our next trip here. We both have agree to make this a yearly date for us!

We found the restaurant to be an amazing venue but unfortunately the meal wasn't as good as we were expecting. The starter was lovely but the steak was dry and rattle tasteless. The potatoes were boring and seemed like they'd been sitting around for a while. We ordered cocktails to start but they didn't turn up until we had our starter.

If you enjoy doing the tourist thing with view of San Antonio instead of fine dining, its ok then. The food was good and served fast, but too fast. The server was in a hurry the entire time and we were there at 6pm, place was empty (but started filling up quick). As soon as we sat down the rush began "can I put in your App order?" That type of thing. Server got the order wrong, forgot one salad and brought the wrong entre out to my wife. Sea bass instead of sword fish. Server never bothered to say anything to us until check arrived, "oh we ran out of the sword fish (at 6pm?) Poor wine service by server (not her assistant) poured Jordan Cab like was water filling up glass almost to top. Can you say hurry up and turn over my table?

We chose the Chart House for our anniversary dinner and a great choice it was. The view from the tower is fantastic- and all the tables are placed to take advantage of the view. I had the prime rib, the horseradish sauce could have been stronger but the meat was perfect. My wife had the crab stuffed shrimp at the recommendation of our waiter and it was equally delicious. At $150 for dinner with a bottle of wine its not cheap- but not the most expensive either. Well worth it for a special occasion.

I made our reservation online through OpenTable with a note that we would be celebrating my wife's birthday. We were seated and given a personalized menu with a birthday wish. Being at a restaurant in the sky is well worth the trip but the food and service were outstanding. I had the Prime Rib, she had the Snapper Hemingway and both are recommended. For dessert the Chocolate Lava Cake was decorated with 'Happy Birthday' and was great! They went above and beyond to make ours a special occasion. This was a Tuesday so it wasn't as busy but suggest arriving early and planning on a long meal, why rush when you can enjoy the view from the top? Hemisfair park is great for pictures beforehand and being early means less stress parking, etc.

I tried this restaurant as a visitor to San Antonio as a couples get away with my hubby. When I visited their website, it was apparent a reservation was needed so I made one. It also mentioned there was a dress code. When we arrived, we were a whole our early and they accommodated us quickly. That was a big plus! As far as the food was, we were very pleased. It was definitely options that are not served every where else. We had the spring roll appetizer, the shrimp artichoke linguine which was excellent, followed by the caramel cheese cake. It was very evident though that there was not a a dress code. I think that really took away from the experience I was seeking. Smart casual it definitely not wasn't which took that romantic feel away.

The view is great that is a given. The restaurant itself looks a bit old and rundown, it could use a refurbish or even a thorough cleaning of floors, furniture, walls and fixtures would go a long way. The food was okay, not bad and not oh-my-goodness great either and the entrée portions were on the lite side, also they had run out of the house specialty salad early in the evening, this is odd to me. I suppose they cannot make the restaurant adult only although the ambiance is spoiled by the loud noises of children. So, if you want a venue for an adult special occasion or a romantic dinner this probably isn't the place for it.

My daughter and I were walking downtown and decided to go to the Tower for lunch. Wow! It was excellent. We used Open Table to get a last minute reservation. The restaurant turns while eating. It was fantastic. The food was above anything else (pun intended). But seriously, I had the seafood fondu. I was very impressed. My daughter had the chocolate cake. To be honest, she did not like it. She said it was too sweet, but that is like saying your champaign is too chilled. :) I thought that the entire experience was top notch. The waiter, I apologize to him because I cannot remember his name, was outstanding. No hurry. No "you did not buy enough." We were treated very well. I highly recommend this place.

I don´t mind to pay U$100/person by a dinner, but the food needs to be wonderful. Changing subject, when the waiters walk on the floor, the noise level is high ans uncomfortable ... We have been going to chart house for every family birthday/ special occasion for the last few years and the food quality is getting worse and worse. My steak was over cooked and my new one didn't arrive until the rest if our party was finished eating. We couldn't get the asparagus appetizer because it "wasn't ready" for another 30 minutes. We paid nearly $30 for a small piece of dry fish (blackened mahi) and a scoop of rice. Really? We will not be returning to chart house or any Landry restaurants for our special occasions. Service was too slow, waiter spilled soda on my wife.

Friends from UK visited so we took them to this iconic place, and had high expectations. We were surprised that some diners were allowed in shorts and jeans for dinner seating. More importantly 3 of the 4 entrees came out at the same time whereas mine was lagging behind by 20 minutes. By the time it arrived everyone else was almost dome and I filled up on tasters from the other plates. The worst part was that the top of the soufflé that I ordered fell off en route to the table and laid by the soufflé dish on the plate. It was a sorry site. The waiter apologized but offered no other help. The view is nice. It was an expensive meal but they are not hard pressed to go out of their ways to please the customers, there's always a lot of people.

The view is wonderful, and Tanner our waiter was great, but the kitchen leaves a lot to be desired. From the time we ordered till our food came out of the kitchen was an hour and 15 minutes. When the food did come out the sea bass was fabulous, but the medium rare prime rib I ordered came out well done. Cooked completely through with no sign of pink any where. Tanner was gracious enough to take it back and bring another piece. This one was closer to rare, but acceptable, but it was one of the toughest pieces of meat I've ever been served. It was almost 10:00 PM by then, and we were ready to leave. My wife and I had a great view, and thankfully she ordered the sea bass, bu the dining experience was not good.

Saturday night reservations for 2 adults and 2 kids. We were seated fairly fast and the server was very nice. Ordered starters and main, calamari starter sent back because it was cold and definitely came out of a frozen bag, crab avocado stack was presented well but devoid of any seasoning or taste. Mains -"fresh" Alaskan halibut - also frozen and cooked to the point of rubber also sent back, crab cakes were some sort of patty with what we think had the same ingredients as the stack. Kids got coconut shrimp deep fried to death, not edible. All in all dropped almost $200 didn't get to eat except for the free lava cake, also frozen! 1 step above buffet quality at 4 star prices. People should not accept this kind of quality!

We had a great time, the ambience was exceptional, food was very delicious. We only had one glitch that could have ruined the evening; while enjoying her entree my sister had a thumb tack in her food. She thought there was a problem with her tooth, she was checking & found it was a thumb tack in her mouth. Apologies from the waiter Ozzy, the manager & the Head Chef.....overall an enjoyable evening!
