We had a wonderful anniversary dinner up the Tower at CH, and the perfect day looked like it had been ordered: Blue sky, gentle breeze, clear view for miles and miles. Food cooked perfectly, service good, view spectacular over the flat terrain of southern Texas. I highly recommend CH for all, but in particular, for a special occasion to celebrate.

My daughter and I were walking downtown and decided to go to the Tower for lunch. Wow! It was excellent. We used Open Table to get a last minute reservation. The restaurant turns while eating. It was fantastic. The food was above anything else (pun intended). But seriously, I had the seafood fondu. I was very impressed. My daughter had the chocolate cake. To be honest, she did not like it. She said it was too sweet, but that is like saying your champaign is too chilled. :) I thought that the entire experience was top notch. The waiter, I apologize to him because I cannot remember his name, was outstanding. No hurry. No "you did not buy enough." We were treated very well. I highly recommend this place.

Food: Filet Mignon: It was dried, maybe was prepared hours before and only heated to serve... Risotto: also was prepared hours before, dried and cold It´s urgently review the quality of food. I don´t mind to pay U$100/person by a dinner, but the food needs to be wonderful. Changing subject, when the waiters walk on the floor, the noise level is high ans uncomfortable ... On the other hand, good wines, wonderful view.

We have been going to chart house for every family birthday/ special occasion for the last few years and the food quality is getting worse and worse. My steak was over cooked and my new one didn't arrive until the rest if our party was finished eating. We couldn't get the asparagus appetizer because it "wasn't ready" for another 30 minutes. We paid nearly $30 for a small piece of dry fish (blackened mahi) and a scoop of rice. Really? We will not be returning to chart house or any Landry restaurants for our special occasions. Service was too slow, waiter spilled soda on my wife.

Friends from UK visited so we took them to this iconic place, and had high expectations. We were surprised that some diners were allowed in shorts and jeans for dinner seating. More importantly 3 of the 4 entrees came out at the same time whereas mine was lagging behind by 20 minutes. By the time it arrived everyone else was almost dome and I filled up on tasters from the other plates. The worst part was that the top of the soufflé that I ordered fell off en route to the table and laid by the soufflé dish on the plate. It was a sorry site. The waiter apologized but offered no other help. The view is nice. It was an expensive meal but they are not hard pressed to go out of their ways to please the customers, there's always a lot of people.

The view is wonderful, and Tanner our waiter was great, but the kitchen leaves a lot to be desired. From the time we ordered till our food came out of the kitchen was an hour and 15 minutes. When the food did come out the sea bass was fabulous, but the medium rare prime rib I ordered came out well done. Cooked completely through with no sign of pink any where. Tanner was gracious enough to take it back and bring another piece. This one was closer to rare, but acceptable, but it was one of the toughest pieces of meat I've ever been served. It was almost 10:00 PM by then, and we were ready to leave. My wife and I had a great view, and thankfully she ordered the sea bass, bu the dining experience was not good.

Restaurant food okay, service was very good, but the view was spectacular. It was our first visit to San Antonio, and the rotating restaurant gave us a good layout as to where we would find everything we wanted to see. If we couldn't actually see it, the staff would point it out to us. We were not rushed out of the restaurant.

First I’d like to compliment the General Manager and her staff for an outstanding, memorable evening. Everyone starting upon our arrival, to the young lady operating the elevator ride to the restaurant, to our server was truly exemplary. The meal was absolutely fantastic. I will definitely recommend the Chart House to all our friends or anyone visiting San Antonio. The Chart House is a definite must.

Saturday night reservations for 2 adults and 2 kids. We were seated fairly fast and the server was very nice. Ordered starters and main, calamari starter sent back because it was cold and definitely came out of a frozen bag, crab avocado stack was presented well but devoid of any seasoning or taste. Mains -"fresh" Alaskan halibut - also frozen and cooked to the point of rubber also sent back, crab cakes were some sort of patty with what we think had the same ingredients as the stack. Kids got coconut shrimp deep fried to death, not edible. All in all dropped almost $200 didn't get to eat except for the free lava cake, also frozen! 1 step above buffet quality at 4 star prices. People should not accept this kind of quality!

We had a great time, the ambience was exceptional, food was very delicious. We only had one glitch that could have ruined the evening; while enjoying her entree my sister had a thumb tack in her food. She thought there was a problem with her tooth, she was checking & found it was a thumb tack in her mouth. Apologies from the waiter Ozzy, the manager & the Head Chef.....overall an enjoyable evening!

Thank you as well. I was looking forward to my daughter's name to be listed on the menu and asked several times even the morning of the reservation it would be done. Once we receive our menus I asked where the name was. The guy said he did not know and would look into it since the printer was having issues...he never came back. Also the option of picking a birthday treat would be nice. Once again Thank you. The view was amazing and she got her birthday request.

We recently had dinner at the Chart House for a second time and both experiences were lovely. I'm from San Antonio and first time dining at Chart. As you can see we enjoyed our visit. Food was really good, 4 stars on food because although steak was perfect it wasn't a Teriyaki steak to me. I have to say that we're not really big fans of Landry's. Several other restaurants here in San Antonio and Orlando have not come close to Chart. But this had the 360/550 foot high up in the sky scenery along with good food an service! This is a must try, I recommend 6pm this way you get a good view of the day, sunset, then night time views, enjoy!

This is the second time we have eaten here. The first time was great. Good service, good food, great view. This time the view is the only thing that was great. We waited about 10 minutes to have out drink order taken and then it took about 15 minutes to get my sons dr. Pepper. The food wasn't anything to write home about and our server kept getting lost. We had to get up and find her twice. Not what we expect from such an expensive restaurant. That will probably be our last time there. Ruth's Chris has way better food and service!

The view at the Chart House is amazing, but the food and service are incredibly lacking. This restaurant touts the Landry name and claims to be a seafood restaurant. I had ordered a seafood dish, and 45 minutes later (after our appetizers and soup had arrived), my server informed me the restaurant was out of that item. The next two seafood menu items I requested were also out of stock. I ended up with Surf and Turf, which was $40 for pot roast-like meat and two undercooked scallops. My husband and I spent $200 on a meal on the same level as a Luby's Cafeteria. Additionally, the music was too loud for the atmosphere and some the other customers were allowed to be loud and disruptive.

    - The hostess was curt and unwelcoming - We were asked two extra times after checking in if we had a reservation (we did) - Waiter was pleasant fellow, but we waited long periods - Ordered 3 different wines because they were "out" of each but didn't know til after leaving each time - My fork tongs were severely bent - The bread didn't arrive until the entrees nearly did - The kitchen messed up my date's order and the correct entree didn't arrive until after I ate - The server asked my date if she wanted the wrong entree since it was already made! - Our waiter tried to ask us to identify who brought the wrong entree like we would know??? The waiter did apologize for the long waits and poor experience. Maybe it was just a bad night?
