  • "We took our out-of-town company to lunch at the tower. The food, service and scenic view was great. Our waiter was very attentive. We had a great time and would go back again."

  • "I really enjoyed the overall experience. The only complaint I have is that I wish the restaurant was some how tied to the scenic area as I felt after dining in the restaurant I should have been able to go enjoy the rest of the tower without having to pay extra like the space needle in Seattle. But otherwise the experience was good and I might bring guests there in the future."

  • "My family took my mother to Chart House Restaurant for lunch to celebrate her 99th birthday. Not only was the food excellent and the view magnificent, the waitstaff were all very helpful, courteous, and made the meal very special for my mother. The printed menus wishing her a happy birthday were a particularly fine touch. What a wonderful surprise the entire outing was!"

  • "Chart house at the top of the Tower of Americas is a beautifully designed space. The service was very professional and polite. The food was two star at best. We had the medallions in Merlot with shrimp, over cooked and salty. Ordered orzo with vegetables and sent it back, no flavor and very dry. Overall our dining experience was oh hum at best, will not be recommending this restaurant to any of my friends"

  • "While road-tripping across America, my girlfriend stumbled across this gem online. Seeming to be a great place to have a delicious meal and great view of San Antonio we made a reservation and asked for a window seat. Not only did Chart House honor our window seat request, they even customized our menus wishing us good luck on on trip. This was a great way to enjoy a night in San Antonio and greatly appreciate all the details that went into the night."

  • "So let me start by saying that I've traveled all over the world and my server Brian is one of the best I've seen. He made the night i purposed to my lady, even more special. I just want to say that you have a great person in him. I will be sure to make your restaurant a regular for my company, friends and family. Thank you all again"

  • "Altrice, our server was wonderful. We were there for my wife's 60th and she made it very special for her. Taking the time to insure everything was to her liking. Did not have any issues with the staff, table was great, corner booth on the outer ring."

  • "although the food was great, our waiter gave us dinner menus even though it was 1:40pm . Which I thought was off, maybe he assumed since we were tourist we wouldn't realize this."

  • "It was our first time visit to the Chart House. From start to finish everything was great: the view of San Antonio; the service was attentive and friendly but not obtrusive; the food was wonderful and of good portion; the drinks were smooth and delicious. Most definitely this is the place to go for a great romantic dinner."

  • "The view is stunning and the restaurant is gorgeous, however the service was horrible! We were celebrating our anniversary which I mention in my reservation and they set us on avey noicy table. We had to wait 20 min even though I had reserved a table for two at 9:30 pm, by the end of our meal we could hear many of the waiters and personal from the lurching speaking vulgarities! Very very disappointing for such a nice restaurant! Our experience was horrible, I can insure you we would never come back nor would I recommend the restaurant."

  • "We went to this restaurant for our 36th anniversary. The service was excellent! My wife was on a very specific diet and they did their best to accommodate her needs and went off the menu to do so. The wait staff was very patient as we studied all the options given and the manager personally helped out, as well. The experience was very nice, the view was excellent and it was a great experience. The price was a little high however, I considered it within range when the taste and presentation and service was taken into consideration. I will recommend this restaurant to all my friends."

  • "Lost stars when they wouldn't let us go up to the observation deck after our early dinner. My 5-year old told me it broke her heart. To go the deck we were told we had to go back down, buy tickets (which required waiting in line outside), and wait to come back up. We were already up and already overpaid for a mediocre dinner so it wasn't worth the hassle. The kids prime rib was pretty disgusting, nearly 2" thick and more than 1/2 fat. We will go back for the unique experience and the friendly servers. But I always expect the rest of the staff to be unhelpful and the food to be just ok."

  • "This was our first time visiting San Antonio and wanted to see all of the attractions including the Tower of the Americas and dine at the Chart House, we were not disappointed! The atmosphere was unbelievable from the time we stepped in the elevator, our hostess Destiny leading us to our table, the posh leather booths to the outstanding views of San Antonio! The food was impeccable and the wine selection was on the best we have seen! This was one of the best dining experiences that our family has had! Thank you Chart House for our 5 Star experience!"

  • "Advice to diners: The lunch menu does not include Saturday or Sunday so expect the dinner menu which is pricey & not for the monetarily faint of heart. Advice to restaurant: My party of five was there for a Sunday noon lunch--you didn't have a crowd--why would you seat a couple right in front of our view when you had empty tables? You obviously were happy to take my $200 for our meal but not considerate enough to realize I was also paying for my view."

  • "The food was great! I had macadamia crusted Mahi. I highly recommend this dish! My husband had filet mignon... you could cut it with a butter knife and the flavor was fantastic. Landry's has definitely stepped up the menu!"

  • "Took out of town guests. The service was spectacular, the food exceptional, the scene with the sun setting and moon rising unbelievably beautiful!! We were so enjoying the view, we stayed longer than anticipated, were never rushed and had great food and service."

  • "We ordered the Calamari and the Shrimp Rolls Appetizers. Calamari were very good, but the Shrimp Rolls were amazing. The light, perfectly seasoned batter and shrimp combined with their sauce were the perfect compliment to the outstanding service our waitress gave us. We also ordered a bottle of Champagne, cocktails and some shots. Although the drinks were extremely overpriced, but I understand that the view comes at a cost. I gave service 4 stars because the Elevator attendant was MIA for 5 minutes on our way up and then on our way down."

  • "The waiter we had messed up our order by giving us the wrong vegetables and gave us rice instead of the mashed potatoes for the Ahi dish and blamed the chef. He did fix the order. The presentation of the sizzling mushrooms he brought was quite messy but they were good. He messed up our bill by putting the wrong vegetables on the bill. After we told him they were the wrong vegetables, he said he could change it but he said what was on the bill was actually cheaper. We told him not to worry about because we just wanted to leave. Later on, we looked at the menu on your website and saw that the mushrooms we ordered were 50 cents cheaper than the asparagus. The money wasn't a big deal, it was just the principle behind it. We were disappointed."

  • "The view is great and it's fun to watch the view change as the restaurant moves. I was disappointed in the food. The flavor was good. However, I had asked the waitress about the coconut shrimp. She told us it had 7 or 8 pieces. When she brought it out, she apologized saying she forgot the lunch portion only had 4 pieces. Had I known, I would have ordered the half pound burger (which was cheaper) rather than going hungry for the afternoon. The food is decent, but overpriced. I had to keep reminding myself I was paying for entertainment (views). We went to the observation tower which was fun until we were ready to leave. The elevator line was short, but ended up waiting for 20 min., as they kept changing who was going next. Crazy."

  • "Took my girlfriend here to propose to her on our anniversary. Not too keen on paying for the parking, but it saved a walk. Had a wonderful view from our seat, however, we did notice a couple of flies, which struck me as odd. None the less, our server Brian was a great guy. We encountered a slight hiccup when I was told the meal I ordered was not ready for preparation, so I had to sub my lobster tail for shrimp. Food was excellent, and aside from some confusion between the waitstaff as to whos food went to what table, everything went wonderfully. If anything maybe a ropeline to corral everyone from rushing the elevator when trying to leave. Ovearll a great and memorable experience with great food."

  • "The food is generally good but not great. The appetizers were all good and the main courses were okay. Primary issue is for what you get the prices are very high for what you get (chain food - Landry's) -and the side dishes were not good at all. Ordered asparagus (overcooked, tough) and fingerling potatoes (overcooked, over salted) among others. At this price point the restaurant needs to focus on quality. I would recommend it for something different or if in town just once something to do and see. Be prepared for the price."

  • "Overall awesome experience. It was a little bit dirty however, there were cobwebs on the wall, the glass was kind of dirty and the wall could use a scrubbing. The seats and table area was clean however and the food was exceptional. The service was outstanding, the view breathtaking and they brought my wife a free desert because we were celebrating her birthday."

  • "Chart House is owned by Landry's. The food was excellent, with different flavors, although it was a bit pricey with most entrees running around $40. But combining the food and fabulous view from the tower at sunset and you have an evening to remember"

  • "We were so pleased with our wait staff person, Alfreddo, or Freddo as he introduced himself. He was extremely professional, and yet very helpful when we needed suggestions. We had our grandchildren with us and he was so respectful of them and in treating them as the young adults they were trying so hard to be. When we return to the Tower we will ask for Freddy. It was a wonderful evening and the food was outstanding. Each of us ordered something different and we all raved over our main courses. Thank you Chart House for a wonderfully, special evening."

  • "There is no better way to take in all of San Antonio than to eat a meal at the Tower of the Americas Chart House. The food is fantastic and in one hour you will make a complete 360 revolution of the whole area surrounding the city. It's awesome. This restaurant, along with the Riverwalk, are the two "musts" if you visit San Antonio, TX."
