The only thing I noticed and this had nothing to do with My night was the restaurant seemed very dated.

The food was delicious and definitely worth the price. The only downfall is that they do not have a soda or beer menu, only a wine and cocktail menu if offered. As the last time (some 6 years ago), it was a great dining experience. It appeals to both seafood and "meat eaters". For a restaurant that features seafood, the filet mignon was very well prepared, rivaling some very good steakhouses. The texture of the cream spinach appealed to my wife and daughter (not real "creamy"), who do not typically like cream spinach.
The only "complaint" (and this is a "pet peeve" of mine); we had a reservation for 7:30pm, but was not seated until 7:48pm. If a restaurant takes reservations, they should honor them. It was a rainy overcast night but that didn't interrupt the view from the window seats. The food was fantastic. The service was some of the best I have ever had made for a great visit for the family. There were some snafus when we ate at the chart House last week, but they still did not take away from the delicious food. The staff did everything they could to be sure that we enjoyed our evening. The Shrimp Scampi part of my "Best of Shrimp" dinner was just perfect. The salad bar, as it always is, was full of surprises. I especially appreciated the salmon roe and the anchovies. But, this Chart House fell below the others. The main dishes were very good, not disappointing, but the appetizers were less than expectations. Especially since we have ordered the exact same appetizers at the other Chart House's. Had to ask the waiter to bring bread, had to wait extra long for adult drink refills and the salad bar (at all Chart House's) is extremely limited and costly for the lack of luster. Even when ordered with a meal, it's not worth the cost. Will it stop us from going back? The views and the river traffic are wonderful. The food was good and my friend especially enjoyed the bisque soup which he thought was outstanding. They were VERY loud as they bickered over every little thing, including how many muffins the husband had eaten that morning. We almost asked to be re-seated, but then I found it so amusing we decided to stay there. I'm sure they would have reseated us if we'd asked, however. This restaurant is normally quiet and romantic, and we will keep going back there. From the complimentry valet parking to the quick 5 minute wait for a window table and AMAZING VIEW; we were excited for a great meal. The service was AMAZING!!! Great menu with plenty of options that is was hard to pick just one. Food came out in a timely manner and I would definitely recomment the Hot Lava Chocolate cake it is worth the wait and worth putting some of your entree in a box for left over tomorrow. The ambience was OUTSTANDING. Table did not have a view of the water and I was disappointed by this. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed when he saw our table of 9. He took a drink order and brought us water but 25 minutes later we still did not have our drinks or appetizers. We went there for a company outing 3 years ago, and when I was planning the outing last night, I wanted to make sure we went back. We picked a 3 course meal deal. My dish was one of the best fish dishes I have ever had. They gave a seat next to a window, and because we work on the Camden Waterfront by the Aquarium, we were able to see our offices. The only downside, and if I could give a 4.5 for service instead of 4, I would, was I had to asked twice for a soda, and dessert took a while to come out. The mud pie was absolutely delicious!! The food was amazing! I had Shrimp Cocktail and Crab Cake. The crab cake had large lumps of crab and was presented in a very well fashion. It was very exciting. My girlfriend also loved her lobster bisque. For entrees, we had the Shrimp Fresca and the Filet Mignon. And for dessert, we had the Chocolate Lava Cake. The cake was to die for. It took a few minutes, but it was nothing like I tasted before. Would definitely go again. Also, our waitress Natalie was one of the best waitresses around. She had extremely good manners, but I liked that fact that she realized we were a young couple and treated us a young couple. Located just over the edge of dry land, this place has everything. Multiple levels, tranquility, amazing Lobster Bisque, great service, cocktails strong enough for your dad to enjoy... Think you might still be hungry? Then just place you order for Chopped Challenge. The server was very attentative and had a great attitude. He was quick and very proffesional. We had a very romantic time and I was impressed with the food. The only issue we had was that the food came out a little quick and was only warm, still deliciouse but only warm not hot. It was well worth the money spent. Ambiance on Delaware river, late evening into the night is beautiful. I was especially pleased to find on arrival that using the Open Table reservations (first time ever) was absolutely acknowledged and respected by the front door staff. In fact, we arrived early and were shown our table 25 minutes early! Our service with Sebastian was great and our entrees (salmon and prime rib) were the best we have had for a long time anywhere! (We travel frequently throughout USA) And a cheesecake birthday cake with candle was nice final touch. Even the coffee pleased my birthday girl! With that being said I can only chalk the bad reviews up to some sad outlooks on life. From the moment we entered the door we were greeted by the most pleasant young lady named Melisa who was more than accommodating when we arrived with an extra guest, and then again when we requested to move to another table to avoid the noise of the kitchen. Our server Eric was attentive and helpful with several wonderful recommendations! The wine list was quite extensive which I found as a pleasant surprise. The food was flavorful and delicious. When making my reservation, I made mention of the day being my Birthday, and that I wanted the experience to be very memorable. Upon arriving we were greeted by a valet, who did his thing with style. I was greeted with "Happy Birthdays" from practically everyone we came in contact with. The food was great. We started off with an amazing appetizer, that was recommended by our waiter, "Sharaque".
