  • "I planned a 30th friendship anniversary here because my dining companion REALLY likes this place (I to kinda sorta like it also). The Shrimp,Brie,Bacon, and Artichoke melt was yummy as always, the Lobster Bisque and Clam Chowder was also very good. Our server was Rosko who made some spot on recommendations (except for a couple of foo-foo drinks)and served us well. The Stuffed Tilapia was moist and flavorful, the Wild Mushroom Merlot Medallions and Grilled Shrimp were tender and cooked properly."

  • "The smooth elegance of the Chart House's dining area greeted us as we arrived, with echoes of elegance in the meal presentation and service. The calming ambiance is a delightful contrast to the bustle of L.A. traffic we survived to drive there. Nestled away in Marina del Rey, do not overlook this excellent restaurant. The menu offered so many tempting creations, it was frustrating to limit my order to what could be eaten in a single meal. And pricing does not require a second mortgage - unlike the disconcerting dining trend of checks equal to a car payment. We were sorry to leave the VIP treatment but look forward to revisiting soon. Expanding the salad bar to include a cheese board would be my only recommendation."

  • "From the moment we drove up we were greeted with a smile from the Valets! The host, Spencer,was super! He assisted me with my reservation,seated us, and gave us the best spiel ever! Melissa was our server and she was on her "A" game! Our steak was prepared snd served properly. And I love having chilled forks with my salad. The Chenin Blanc was nice. Kudos to all!!"

  • "As with a few other fine restaurant chain purchases, the ChartHouse has dropped a bit since the purchase. Food is still very good but no longer great. Service is very good as most of the staff hasn't changed. But it has lost that special something. We have been going to chart houses all over for the past 20+ years, and we will continue to go but it's not the place for a special occasion now it's a nice night out. Would someone please tell Landry 's if they but a great Restraunt don't mess with it!!"

  • "The service and food were great, however when I checked-in I requested a window table. They had us wait for about ten minutes because, according to the hostess, a window table was opening up. However, when they took us to our sits, they gave us a table next to the salad bar, when I reminded the person who was sitting us that we had been waiting for a while for a window table, he replied very rudely "we don't have window tables available" which was very disappointing and I was embarrassed because the people I had imbated were expecting a window table."

  • "The servers were very nice, but slow. We ordered the lobster and shrimp spring rolls, they were falling apart because they were not wound tightly enough, but they were good. The Cesar salad was over dressed, nothing special. We ordered the prime rib medium rare, it came with mashed potatoes and We ordered mushrooms as an additional side. The prime rib was over cooked, so they brought another, which was much better but still cooked very unevenly. Quite strange the cook pattern. We also ordered the macadamia crusted mahi and ordered fingerling potatoes as an additional side. The macadamia crust was soggy. We are not sure if it was how it was cooked or the fact that the mango relish sat on top of the crust. Everything was bland and tasteless."

  • "If you don't live in the Marina... A trip the Chart House is a must for sea food lovers. The food is excellent and the presentation superb. I'd highly recommend the Lobster bisque coupled with the Herb crusted salmon for a delightful meal. Salads are well proportioned and tasty. Service was above par. It's a non rushed enjoyable time for all ages."

We had several appetizers before the main course and all of them were delicious. Also, the menu had wording that said Happy Birth Day which made it special for that night."

  • "AT 630PM WE ORDERED TWO PRIME RIB DINNERS, ONE RARE THE SECOND MEDIUM RARE, AND GOT MEDIUM WELL, SO OVER COOKED. THE MANAGER TRIED TO EXPLAIN THAT IT'S SLOW ROASTED FOR OVER 8 HOURS THAT'S WHY IT'S COOKED THAT WAY, SHE IS SO CLUELESS AND HOW COULD ANY CHEF OR COOK OVER DO PRIME RIB, A SIGNATURE ITEM? TO REPLACE THIS WE ORDERED A NEW YORK STAKE RARE, IT WAS SERVED RAW AND COLD. LASTLY THE KING CRAB WAS OVER STEAMED/REHEATED THIS WAS JUST A LOUSY DINNER AND NOTHING WILL MAKE ME WANT TO RETURN BTW, JUST HAD THE BEST RARE PRIME RIB AT HALEIWA JOES IN HALEIWA OAHU HAWAII, THE CHEF SHOULD COME HERE TO LEARN HOW PRIME RIB IS DONE"

  • "Don't get me wrong, the food is not bad. It's just that for the price, it's pretty mediocre... like a line cook is in charge of the kitchen. It's a chain restaurant, and if that's what your expectations are, you'll be fine. I had the macadamia crusted fish (halibut, I think?), and it tasted fine, though it was soggy. The green beans it came with were tasty. My wife said her scallops were good, just not great. The view was great, and since we wanted to see the fireworks, it worked out really well. Staff all around was very friendly, and our waiter was very attentive."

  • "We were here on the 4th of July and they were both overcrowded and understaffed (one bartender, really?) So dinner took about three hours. The good news: the food (once it arrived) was quite good and our waiter was terrific despite everything (at one point I spied a guy in a chef's coat bussing tables, to give you an idea). The food was also pretty good. But the best part was the view -- we were fortunate enough to have a table with a spectacular view of the fireworks once 9pm rolled around -- at which point, all was forgiven and magic ensued. We will go back, just not on the busiest night of the year, and will take the waterbus to the dock in front of the restaurant."

  • "We went to dinner here on a whim because the Charthouse in Malibu was closed. It was an awesome choice!! The wait, valet, and welcoming staff were wonderful. There were NO kids so it was a very adult atmosphere. Quiet talking and great food!! We really enjoyed it. And the TAG for valet was wicked!! Great technological upgrade."

  • "We were five adults having dinner for Father's Day. The service was slow, although the staff was friendly and the view of the Marina is nice. We ordered two appetizers; the first came after a long wait, and the second never came. The food was inconsistent, and expensive. The prime rib which is one of their specialties was very salty. All of the fish dishes were excellent, but expensive and did not come with much on the plate other than the fish. The salad bar was OK, not great, and the staff had a hard time keeping many of the selections replenished. I'd recommend it for the fish, a nice glass of wine, and the atmosphere, avoid everything else."

  • "Every time we come to this restaurant, which is frequently, we get treated like we are under par people by the personnel in the bar. I got an attitude from the bartender because no server came to take our drink order, so I went to the bartender and then after she took our order, they didn't have pineapple juice for my drink. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks. The host, Spencer, was adorable and witty. Our waitress, Katie, was great. Please do something about the service in your bar. It sucks."
