The service was great and the food WOW..........was great. I greatly recommend many thing we tried on the menu that were awesome. The NY steak was delicious and tender, the lobster was great, the coconut shrimps are a must have with any meal and the scallops were awesome.

Wonderful choice of foods, especially the fish. Spinach salad could be a meal in itself - and of course the mud pie can't be missed. Interesting wine list. Thankfully we were seated a bit later & our server, Nora from NYC was outstanding!! Can't say enough about her service & making us feel welcome! I was not disappointed with the food, it was delicious as well as my drink, the fiery cucumber martini, I told all my friends to order this drink should they come to the Charthouse for dinner. I kinda thought maybe there a birthday acknowledgement in the form of a dessert but our waiter didn't offer. The last time we went was a disaster and we wrote the company explaining our experience and reservations about food and service. We decided to give it another go and this time we had a wonderful time, like all the other occasions when we dined there. The ambience was perfect, the waiter was very good, and we were very happy with everything. My Prime rib was had too much fat on it, but otherwise everything lived up to our expectations. Better kitchen than most and great view of the ocean. The only negative which isn't really a negative is the portions can be a little large. Ordered a wonderful spinach and bacon salad which could have served at least two or even three. Great FoodI had read a few negative reviews about the service at the Malibu Chart House and was about to cancel my reservation. Luckily I didn't because the place was great. The service was very good and I have no complaints. They greeters were very welcoming when we entered the place. Our server was really good. He was fast and made sure we were taken care of. I would recommend making reservations and ask for a window seat. Luckily we got there right before it got busy and they were able to sit us next to the window.
