It was a very special occassion that being my husband's 65th Birthday, and we had flown from NJ the day prior to be greated with perfection in every way, and a most memorable and enjoyable dinner.
The GM was assisting the staff in every way possible rather than simply greeting the guests, and "Joe" our wait staff was simply excellent as well. I had a Mojito that was very good. The only issue I had was my tenderloins were a little hard and the mashed potatoes was not the best. My husband and I brought our daughter and her two sons, ages 10 and 12, and you accommodated the children well. We all had the salad bar and my husband loved the preparation of the scallop dinner. I loved the caviar at the salad bar. My shrimp cocktail was excellent and I had never had one before with the dry ice treat with mist swirling around. My grandsons especially loved it. Other waiters helped me and were so kind. I am on a walker and had forgotten to bring my salad plate. One male waiter got a plate for me right away and said he was glad to help me. He even carried the plate back to my table. I am looking forward to returning! The chef had prepared some Mother's Day specials and we both chose the salmon. It was a creative dish cooked to prefection.

However, the mushroom appetizer was a bit disappointing. The mushrooms were a little soggy, runny. The taste was too "mushroomy". We were seated outside overlooking the pass. What a beautiful view. The water was calm and clear, with porpoises surfacing in the distance. You could hear the soft music of the steel drums being played further down in a different area of the restaurant. It reminded us of our honeymoon in the Dominican Republic! The server was excellent, he made perfect recommendations and we couldn't have been more pleased with the quality of the food. If its a special occation or my family is in town, I always go to Chart House. With the rewards card and the happy hour it also makes it a bit more budget friendly.

It was an excellent choice for us! The salad bar is wonderful with fresh veggies, quinoa and rice salads, Caesar freshly-tossed, and delicious black caviar! My scallops were prepared broiled nestled atop golden Yukon mashed potatoes and drizzled with a wasabi cream! My husband chose the pancetta wrapped broiled salmon. The other couple ordered crab-stuffed shrimp and Chicken Romano...we were all delighted with our meals! We were a bit surprised at the higher prices (additional salad bar $18.99?!) But we enjoyed our food and so did our three kids (ages 16, 14 and 11). My son's hamburger was on the rare side, but once we got the attention of our waiter, he took it back and cooked to well-done. The service was good but there was a LOUD table of New Yorkers (you could tell) with LOTS of kids all on screens that took away from our dining experience. Our experience was first class from beginning to end. The staff was very accommodating, and the ambience is elegant. We were seated immediately upon arrival at our reservation time.
Best of all was the food and drink. I had swordfish that melted in my mouth - a very delicate dish to get right. I also had "Best of Soup" - an unusual and delicious sampling of lobster bisque, clam chowder, and gazpacho. Finally, when I asked which bourbons they carried at the bar, the server said, "We carry them all" - and then proved to be right! The Chart House also has a complete salad bar. It was very busy, the girl told us we will have to wait for our table to come up. At LBK we dine at the Chart House every 4th/5th night, as most good restaurants in the LBK/Armands Circle have a very similar menu and your choice really comes down to quality of food, wine list and service. It is a favourite of ours and has been for many years. The food is very good as is the table service, and the reception staff recognise you after a couple of visits and the view from the restaurant is one to die for during daylight. My concern - I do not appreciate my main course being put on the table before I have finished my appetizer which has happened more than once since our arrival on 28 February.
