  • "Though I have been to The Chart House before, it seems to get better with each visit. The ambience, the service, and of course, we're all exquisite. They had a very busy night, but handled it exceptionally well. I look forward to returning to this establishment."

  • "We go to to chart house every year for my grandmothers birthday . This was one of one of her favorite places to eat when she was a younger adult so we come back year after year for her to get a chance to relieve some of the memories . Over the past few years we have watch the quality of the food start going down . This year was the worst yet . I wouldn't recommit this place but I'm sure we will be back next year for her birthday hopefully the food will improve ."

  • "Beautiful view, fabulous food, great service. My new favorite Jax restaurant. I started with the "award winning" clam chowder and my husband had the salad bar....both awesome. Then we shared the Parmesan crusted snapper which had a generous topping of crab and was more than we could eat. Lucky me had the rest for lunch the next day :). Go, go go tonight!"

  • "I was totally pleased with the service at the Chart House. The view was exactly what I wanted my boyfriend to experience on his birthday. The lighting was perfectly low but the restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous. The highlight of the evening was the look on his face when the menu was personalized wishing him Happy Birthday. He found it to be so cool..Thanks for a memorable birthday dinner!"

  • "This was our first visit to The Chart House. We were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The setting, atmosphere, dinner was all most outstanding. Our waiter was extremely helpful, and most competent about the menu selections."

  • "This has been my favorite restaurant for many years and I am a member but have misplaced my card during a move. I took my daughter and granddaughter out for a girls night out for dinner and we had a ball. The foot was cooked to perfection with the exception of a side dish that was ordered and our wonderful server was adamant it be removed from the bill even though I said it wasn't necessary, just stating it was an item that should be removed or cooked differently as it was a veggie dish and it was bland and not appealing to the eye. The server was neither too overly smothering nor gone too much, the perfect amount of service and tolerated my silliness with great humor and ease. As always we had the most pleasurable experience."

  • "We always love going to the Charthouse for special occasions. The staff is warm and friendly, but not intrusive; the fish selection is excellent and the salad bar is unparalled. Best of all is the great view of the river and downtown Jacksonville!"

  • "This was our first visit to Chart House. We are bi-coastal residents of Jacksonville and Seattle, WA. At Chart House, our dining experience was above average for the most part. From the reservations to the valet service everyone was friendly and treated us almost like family. The food was okay but nothing extraordinary. I had the Mahi Tuna and it was not as good as I have had at other fine restaurants. My wife had the Talapia and she said it was great. We requested a window table but was not provided one even though we told them on our reservation that we were willing to wait. The other negative was that the table we were given had a flap/extension that was stuck in the up position. this caused my wife's plate and glass to slide very tacky."

  • "This is supposed to be a very nice and romantic restaraunt. We had reservations, and upon arrival we were seated, but not at window riverfront as requested. The restaraunt was not that busy, but service was slow and took a long time to get our drinks. We noticed some other tables were offered bread, but we were'nt, and had to ask. This took an extremely long time as well. Then the appetizer took about 30 minutes to come out. The slow service and 'un-romantic' seating kind of ruined our 1 year anniversary buzz, so we chose to pay out and go elsewhere. We did not stay for dinner, and most likely will not return."

  • "A perfect place to dine before the symphony. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. Our only complaint was that the post meal coffee was not hot enough."

  • "I was extremely pleased with the service from the hostess to the server and the food was superb. I experienced one small glitch when the server returned our food to take with us he mixed up the boxes. Nevertheless we had a great time."

  • "We took my Mom to celebrate her visit with us here in Jacksonville. Bill and go to Charthouse for all of our celebrations, and have for years. But this time was not so special, it took over an hour to receive our dinner. The order was not correct. The dessert Was ordered when the dinner order was placed, and when we were done with dinner we had to wait another 20 min for the dessert. What we ate was good, but delayed, which is not normal for our experiences with your Charthouse."

  • "Great spot for dinner. Just wish it was open for lunch. With all the offices in downtown JAX cannot understand why they do not have lunch hours. Also no brunch on Sat and Sun. I would be back on a regular basis if lunch and brunch were offered."

  • "We were seated almost 30 minutes after our reserv. I had to flag the hostess down in the bar because we were going to leave. When she said we needed to tab out at the bar, I told her we already had and she asked me if i was sure that we had paid our bill. I am not sure how my boyfriend could imagine paying our bill! Our entrees came out about 5 min after our appetizer so we had our salads, appetizer, and entrees all at the same time. So much for enjoying a relaxing dinner. The best part of the night? It was my birthday and the server brought the lava cake with a candle to the table while i was sitting there by myself while my boyfriend went to the bathroom. Our table was in front of the kitchen so she could see i was alone."

  • "Awesome as always! Everyone loved loved their meal UNTIL I shared a bites of my tuna. They all said I thought about the tuna and should have gotten it. even though everything was great the med rare ahi stole the show!"

  • "Went here for Valentines Dinner, very good food and service as was expected from a Chart House property! Great view of the river at sunset with the moon rising as dessert was served. Would definitely return if I had the choice!"

  • "My wife & I have been going to the Chart House for the past 12 years. We have always considered this restaurant a "Fine Dining" experiance. As of late, not so much. Even though the stuffed mushrooms were taken off the menu, the chef has been nice enough to make them for us upon request. On our last visit, it was anything but stuffed mushrooms. It was more like button mushrooms covered with crab meat. My wife remarked "Not much thought put into this". The music was louder than usual; so much so that we could not even hear the waitress. This is suppose to be fine dining, not a rock concert. At least our dinner was excellent as always. May I recommend the Hemingway Snapper. Delicious!!!"

  • "We visited prior to a popular concert in town. We had reservations and were seated promptly and only ordered entrees, water and dessert. The service was slow, we just did make it to our event. Many tables around us never did get their food and had to leave. The restaurant seemed very understaffed and overwhelmed. The lava cake was cooked dry."

  • "Our dining experience was fantastic. I love the salad bar, the choices are endless. The only one in town that offers caviar! My fish dish was delicious and the portion was much bigger than I expected. We were too full to try the hot chocolate molten cake. My friend had prime rib which she said was the best. She has a hard time finding it in other restaurants also. My husband opted for the Roma Chicken which sounded good on the menue, and it was, except that it was a little small and a little dry. Altogether it was an enjoyable and memorable dining experience and was the perfect place to eat before going to the Eagles concert, which was equally as enjoyable!"

  • "Had reservations for 6:45, finally got a table at 7:40. There are only 2 chairs available in the waiting area. Apparently there was an Eagles concert and they didn't expect the large numbers. None the less if you are going to spend $150+ on a meal for 2, you don't want to wait for an hour to be seated. Waiters and waitresses where amazing."

  • "To begin with we had reservation 2-26-14 6:15 but on arrival we were told it would be 30 mins for a table. After complaining, we were seated within 5 mins. Once we got our table we ordered some drinks from the bar. It took 45 mins to get our drinks, seriously, and this was after we complained to two waitresses and the manager. they all kept making excuses. I love this place, we have eaten here for 30 years. Sad to see it run so poorly"

  • "We went her for my birthday....become a Landry Rewards member and they give you a $25 gift reward to use an any of their restaurants, but this was my choice. It's right on the St John's River. Best know for Prime Rib but have great seafood as well. You'll love it."

  • "Went to Chart House for a Valentine's Day date. I ordered the seared tuna w/ wasabi mashed potatoes, which was AWESOME! I also got the salad bar which was really good too. My fiance ordered the filet mignon which was a bit of a disappointment. Her steak was tender and cooked correctly but was pretty dry. I would recommend going somewhere else for a steak. Stick to the seafood here. The service was decent, nothing special. The server seemed like he may have been new. Our table was along the windows facing the St. Johns River, so our view was great. The drinks were pricey, not really a shock. Overall it was a good experience. Chart House is a good, fancy seafood place."

  • "We arrived 30 min. late due to traffic. I called from the highway to advise the hostess. We were seated immediately upon arriving. Our waiter, Ted, was genial and noted we had symphony tickets and would expedite our order. We were seated on the second tier with a view of the water. My husband began with chopped salad, which he enjoyed. My Beefsteak tomato salad was tasty, but the tomatoes were ice cold, indicating that they were sliced and refrigerated rather than prepared fresh. We each had Filet Mignon. Mine was over cooked & very dense & tasteless. My husband said his was fine. I had two glasses of wine which were the best value at $7 each. Noise level was high, precluding any table talk below a shout."

  • "Went for our anniversary and had an excellent dinner and were cared for by our waiter exquisitely. The restaurant gave us custom tailored menus which made for a nice surprise. Only down point was the upsale of the Landreys discount card at the end of the meal."

  • "I can't express my disappointment in the lack of service we received in 750 characters, but here are a few highlights. - After being seated we waited 14 minutes before we saw our server. No water, no bread, no Hello. - Our server seemed preoccupied and rarely visited our table even when our drinks were clearly empty. - More to tell, but no characters... - At the end of our meal our plates sat in front of us empty for far too long and, not a big deal, but I had to scrape my own crumbs. They always do that for you. Always. - The food was okay, but not as good as it usually is. This may be due to the bad taste I had in my mouth due to the lack of service. Overall bad experience. We are done dining at Chart House."

  • "We've lived in Jax for many many years and never made it out to The Chart House. Overall it was a good experience.. We arrived early, and then had to wait. Why did we wait? Because there was not hostess to be found. There were probably 15 people in the tiny entrance area waiting on the hostess to show up. When she finally did, she pretty much moved in slow motion (maybe it was shift change) Once we were seated it was a very pleasant experience. We had a great server, she filled us in on all we needed to know and kept the drinks topped off and recommended a few adult beverages we might like. The food was great and 1 plate was more than enough for both of us. It's a little pricier than normal but nothing outrageous. We'll be going back again."

  • "Service was the big downer. Ordered wine with dinner and did not get it until we had eaten a 1/4 of meal. It was early so it was not busy. Mgt walked around but did not seem to do anything."

  • "This was not the first visit to this restaurant and we choose this place because of their good food, great service and fantastic drink selection! The only negative thing I have to say is, because of Valtinesday they sat the tables extra close and even splitting up the booth to make room for extra couples seating! You pretty much sat right next to another couple, within inches !! Oh well I guess they want to make sure they cash in extra big on Valentines day !!"
