  • "My husband and I ate at the Golden Chart House on April 5, 2014 for our 29th anniversary. Our server was excellent. The menu had a lot of variety and the food was good. Our only complaint was that our meals were not hot enough. I think they had been sitting awhile before they were brought to us. My husband had shrimp and prime rib, and I had the seafood mixed grill (shrimp, salmon, and crab cake). We both enjoyed the salad bar. The creme brulee for dessert was good, too, but not excellent. I also had a mango mojito that was very good. They gave us the menus wrapped up (with our anniversary date) when we left, which was a nice touch."

  • "It was fun to discover our name printed on the daily menu. We experienced excellent service which was friendly, respectful, prompt and thoughtful. There were five in our party and each person was pleased with menu choices and selections. My Miso Salmon could not have been prepared one bit better...it melted in my mouth. Our entrees were presented with flair by several servers. A teenager was part of our party and she enjoyed the meal as well as the sparkling view of Denver."

  • "Our night began with the bottom of a water glass falling out as he picked it up . It shattered onto the table and water spilled all over my husbands lap so he was soaking wet all night. The manager shrugged it off and they changed out the table linens. No apology, nothing comped on bill. Very poor service. Something I'd never seen before with a glass. After we paid the bill my husband told the manager an apology would have been nice at least and then he started apologizing. Very poor management style."

  • "We celebrated my wife's birthday and wound up with a young inexperienced waiter who was either overworked or undertrained. He was informed that we were celebrating a birthday at the beginning of our meal (he never asked us). After finishing dessert and paying the check he asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. When reminded of the birthday he said that if I had said something sooner they would have comped her dessert. What the . . . . .? He also failed to ask if we wanted bread or wine with the meal (I ordered a bottle of Malbec and the bread). We've dined at this restaurant on many occasions and have always been pleased with the service. It is hoped that this was an isolated incident and we will return and let you all know."

  • "I took my husband here for his birthday last weekend. The last time we ate here was probably a dozen years ago! It was great then and great this most recent time as well. Try the Fleur De Lis drink - it was delicious! Service was great and the food was really good. Last but not least...the chocolate lava cake. You can NOT go to the Chart House and skip this dessert. It is a MUST have!"

  • "Made a reservation for my wife's birthday. Was told my request for a table by the window had been entered. But the request was not enough, even though they knew it was a special occasion. Instead, we were seated next to the salad bar and kitchen, a very high traffic area. Every time we backed up our chairs, we were in someone's way. My wife had macadamia-crusted Mahi and I had brandy-glazed filet medallions. Both were good, but not great. Creamed spinach was excellent, but way too salty. Birthday dinner came with complimentary mud pie dessert. Our server was attentive and good at her job, but good service and a dessert cannot make up for seating us in a high traffic area when there were plenty of open tables, especially at $250."

We are moving from Denver but staying in Colorado So to keep the menu with the date and place where my husband first purposed is Very Special! The food is always good.   • "This was my first time going to the Chart House. We were seated in a corner booth by the window that had a great view. We did the 5280 dinner; our steaks were great, cooked to perfection. While I enjoyed the ceasar salad, my hubby thought the fish flavor was overwhelming. Desserts were yummy. Our waiter was great too, he was around enough to take care of us but not hovering. Overall my experience was lovely and I would go here again."

  • "This restaurant was a favorite of my husband, my parents and myself many years ago. Every time we pass it, I tell my girls we have to go there. So many memories, great food, and a view that is incredible. All three of us were so disappointed in the food, the service and the noise level. We could not even carry on a conversation, so talking about the bygone days was not even possible. The only bright spot was the hosts, hostesses, and bus boys. They were so attentive when we arrived and very nice. The server was rude, was unapologetic about being out of creme brulee that was part of 5280, just all around bad. We are very good tippers and it was difficult to do 15% but we felt we needed to send a message."

  • "The Chart House has been around for decades, but this establishment still knows how to get it done. We went during "Restaurant Week" and it was busy. We had a reservation and we're seating immediately! They had three different entree's to chose from on the special "Restaurant Week" menu. Macadamia nut crusted shrimp, Parmesan crusted Tilapia and Wahu Flat Iron Steak. I chose the steak and my wife had the shrimp dish. We had caesar salad which was perfect and then for dessert...Well, this is where things got interesting. My wife had Mud Pie, which she loved. I, however, wanted the creme brûlée. They had run out of it. Bummer! We'll, by the end of night, Jeremy, our waiter, found one for me. Perfect night!"

The only thing that kept this from being outstanding overall was where we were seated, with a view of the highway instead of overlooking Denver. The food./service was first rate.   • "My husband and I went for the restaurant week menu. Usually, when it's the restaurant week menu, the customer could enjoy food that is kind of pricy on the regular menu. However, I found the exact menu on the regular list for penny less. Geez. What a joke! Can they change something out of from the bargain menu for this special week at least? My husband ordered Coors Light and found out they were out. I can't imagine this big restaurant will be out of beer on the 2nd day of the restaurant week. Especially, Coors is local brand and have the brewery in the same city as the restaurant. 2ndly, I ordered Crème Brule for dessert. And, guess what... They are out of the dessert by 7 pm. Wow. I don't know what were they thinking?"
