The food not only was outstanding as usually we didn't have a long wait at all. We had a 7pm reservation on a Friday night Mother's Day Weekend. While we were a bit disappointed that this particular CH did not have a salad buffet (with the high end items like caviar and carpaccio) that enamored us in Lake Tahoe, it was still a tremendous experience. We love everything about the CHGN: service, atmosphere, and most of all, the food, which included the stone crab claws - which took our collective breaths away.
We will definitely come back to CHGN. Thanks so much for making my Mom's birthday as low-keyed as possible. The restaurant is great with a huge salt water fish tank in the middle. The food and service are always woonderful, and this time was no different. Lynette was our waitress and she was terrific. Service was extraordinary. Server was well versed on the menu, helped us create a great dining experience. Aquarium is fascinating and most seating has a direct view. Our dishes were prepared to perfection. I had the Yellowfin Tuna and my husband enjoyed the stuffed flounder, both were excellent. Of course, we had to order the hot lava chocolate cake, so delicious! We had a booth across from the 75,000 gallon aquarium and it was a very unique setting. My food was outstanding, I think only 2 of our 6 person group was disappointed, they felt their food was normal. The portions are large.
