Chart House with its location on the water, sun pouring through the dining room, good service, really good food, and no rush to leave is an exception. The view by the water was very nice and the waiter seemed well-informed about the menu.

My mom had the lobster tail (perfectly cooked and slightly sweet) and my step-dad had a steak (I assume it was great because he didn't offer anyone a piece like he normally does). The show-stopper (for me) was the chocolate lava cake. I die for chocolate and this cake properly laid me to rest. The salad bar and food were great, as always. We visited the salad bar after ordering and then sat for more than 45 min. waiting for our meal to arrive. The delay was never explained. It was Saturday night and very crowded, but the staff found us an incredible view table in the bar. Our friends from out of town were impressed with a gorgeous window seat. The Westin put in a good word for us, and we got a complementary starter and personalized menus for our visit. Both food and service were outstanding, and they assisted us greatly for keeping our toddler entertained between courses. We had a very early dinner reservation and they were all ready for our arrival. Great waterfront view, particularly in the bar area. At every seat you had a good view of the adjacent boats/marina.

The name or the Birthday person at the head of the menu was an unexpected yet over-the-top touch! Every Chart House employee contacted via phone and at the host station was exceedingly gracious, professional, and accomodating in ensuring that my table was an ABSOLUTELY PERFECT PRESENTATION with the Birthday person arrived!!! And Brandon was a FANTASTIC server!!!

The service is great, so is the food and they are kid friendly; which is hard to find in a high end restaurant. My only disappointment was the party dressed in sweat pants and jerseys. We've been there several times over the years and will continue to go back. The seafood is fresh, perfectly prepared, and the portion sizes are just right. While it is not inexpensive, we never regret going. And if you tell them when you make your reservation that you are celebrating, an anniversary for example, they print a personalized message on the top of your menu.
