Also it is the best restaurant in town for brunch with an option of a great salad bar by itself or for 1/2 of the price with any entree. We started out with the crab, avocado and mango stack and an order of the oysters Rockefeller which were both excellent. In fact, I'm still thinking about those oysters.
One of my friends had the stuffed flounder and myself and my other friend both went for the Snapper Hemingway. The waiter we had was very knowledgeable about the wine & food. My husband ordered the salmon, it was cooked to perfection, I ordered the prime rib medium rare and it came out well done and dry. I notified the waiter he immediately acknowledge that it was over cooked and took it away and told me he would get me another asap. Meanwhile a young lady (she introduced herself as the assistant floor manager) came over and told us that the prime rib was not over cooked, it was how the light was hitting the plate, the sun shinny in through the window! The service is wonderful, the scenery is wonderful, and most importantly the food is WONDERFUL! It is very close to shopping in Olde Towne Alexandria, so that is nice to be able to walk around after the delicious and hearty meal at Chart House. It is a bit pricey, an average of $25-30/person for dinner. The restaurant does not have it's own parking, but there is a parking garage across the street (cost us $10).
