  • "Dined at this location twice. Once with our children and once just the two of us. Both visits were wonderful. The food was fantastic and the service was wonderful. It is very child friendly. This past visit was just my wife & I. We split a meal which was no problem and no additional charge. They even split the salad and gave us Caeser that is listed on the menu as a tableside two or more option. We are from the wine county and brought a bottle of our own wine. This restaurant has a corking fee of $25 or free if you purchase a 2nd bottle. We just wanted our one bottle and they waived the corking fee. I would absolutely recommend this spot for couples and families."

  • "We met for dinner at the time of our reservation and they sat us immediately in a nice booth. All the wait staff were very helpful with all our needs. We shared a steak between the 3 girls, grilled veggies, mushrooms and we each had a salad. The wrong salad came out and we had to wait a little bit for the right one to come out but was worth the wait. When one of the girls husband came to join us the staff did not come over to see if he wanted something to eat. They eventually took his order and hustled up his salad then steak for dinner and was eating along side us. They brought out little deserts and gave us each a to-go banana nut bread all wrapped up. We came from different states to see each other to this was most important. Again? yes"

  • "While staying at The Grand Sierra Resort, my husband and I had dinner at Charlie Palmer Steak. Our servers, Darrell and Angelina, were simply amazing. They were helpful with the menu, extremely attentive, and very pleasant. The food was outstanding, it was hot when it arrived at the table and cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants an outstanding dining experience."

  • "My dinner was very good. I started with the French onion soup and it was wonderful. For my entrée I had the filet mignon, which was very good. We skipped dessert because we were too full. They do have great desserts we've indulged in and enjoyed immensely. Service was less than what you would expect from an establishment of this supposed caliber. Wine took a noticeable while to arrive after placing an order. The major drawback of the evening though was my wife had the baked oysters Rockefeller. She said it was very good and she was pleased, but that's not how she felt later in the evening. I'll just say she was up several times during the night visiting the restroom. I'm sure that paints the picture clearly enough. Proceed with caution."

  • "This is the first time that CP's has left us a bit disappointed. It was still good and overall better than most Reno spots, but it was less than what we had learned to expect. The dinner salad was good, but on previous occasions it had been better - more of a mixed salad, rather than a simple half head of butter lettuce with a few additions on top. Our main courses were excellent - a pork chop and outstanding short ribs..Desserts were also delicious, especially the chocolate peanut butter bar. The service was where we had an issue. We ordered champagne and then a bottle of wine with our dinner order. The wine order was obviously lost and we could not get the attention of the man who had taken the order. Suzy sorted it out. Overall good."

  • "I was there sat 3/8/14 for a 6pm reservation, was seated promptly, wife ordered chicken and I ordered lamb chops medium well. Food took forever to come, they had to bring the second basket of bread becuase they felt guilty i think. Chicken was a breast peice topped with a leg, wife liked it. My lamb was rare and cold. I had to flag down the waiter several times to even get him to come to the table to show him how rare it was. I ordered medium well. They offered to take it back and re-cook it, really? They seemed to really not care, I had to suggest why not give me a comp dessert and that would be a nice gesture. Surprised they didn't think of anything to compensate."

  • "We were staying at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino and we were delighted to find that their fine dining restaurant had good reviews so we made a reservation. The food was great. The service friendly and attentive. And a good price for the fine dining experience you get. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next night before we left town. I recommend reservations or expect a bit of a wait if you are going on the weekend. We found it quite loud on Saturday night so if you are looking for an intimate and quiet setting you may not find that. But there were also a few larger parties celebrating do I'm sure that contributed to the volume. When we next visit Reno we will definitely eat here again."

The waiters are all phenomenal and Managers Chris & John are so welcoming and professional it's always a pleasure to eat there. My favorite is The Filet Mignion, and the Scalloped Cheesy Potatos.   • "Not worth your time. There are plenty of other steak houses in town that offer better food and more reasonable wine prices. Most of the wine by the bottle was 3x retail and their wine list wasn't really all that great, probably because you would have had to take a mortgage out to get a great bottle of wine. The steak was tough, the house salad was just lettuce, a couple of sliced grape tomato's, a couple of onion rings and some bland dressing. The mushrooms and potato ordered as side dishes were fair at best. I won't drop any names, but I can think of half a dozen other steak houses I've been to lately that are much better. Disappointing."

  • "This was our first time to Charlie Palmer Steak. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful and we had great service. There was a loud group of people dining nearby, which is not the fault of the restaurant, but made having a quiet conversation a little difficult. We enjoyed an amazing Ahi Tuna sashimi appetizer that was on the specials list. Both the New York Strip and the Grilled Berkshire Pork Chop were delicious and we shared a Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar that was so good but very rich so best split. Our waitstaff was very knowledgable and interactive in our decisions. Definitely planning on returning!"

  • "Maybe it was because of Valentine Day but... it was so noisy we couldn't hear our own conversation We were given the wrong salads then 15 min later the wrong entrees The baked potato was cold and the porterhouse was stringy and fatty They did pass out donuts for the next morning which was nice but when I put out over $400.00 for a dinner for six I expect much better food and service. Bummed:("

  • "We were set a table in the back. We waited for 15 minutes before we were waited for our drinks. Our drink order came back wrong. We were there for an hour and 15 minutes before we received our food and we had to ask for it. The steaks and vegetables were cold. What restaurant runs out of wine. We were charged for to many drinks. You need a wider variety of food. Not everybody likes lamb and venison. The only good thing about the restaurant was the bread. unfortunately would not recommend this restaurant to anybody for any reason"

  • "The service that we received rivals any 5 Star restaurant. We were showered with attention and complimentary treats, appetizers and desserts, as we celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary. Our server told us that there was another couple celebrating their 45th anniversary. We noticed that neighboring diners received a high level of service as they were just out for dinner. The menu selection was excellent with the food prepare exactly as requested. We both had the special, ribeye and kobe short ribs. The desserts were very well presented and tasted even better, choccolate peanut butter bar & cup and mixed berries. We definitely plan on returning to this restaurant on our next trip to Reno and recommend it to everyone."

  • "The food was amazing. It was the little things that made it great. Most good restaurants know how to cook a good steak and fish but at Charlie Palmers they did that and more. The sauces that they made for the the fiSh and steak were amazing and did not over power the entree. The onion rings were the absolute best ever. Went for our anniversary and will definitely go back next time in town. The staff was great. Thanks for a great night"

  • "My husband and I celebrated our 29th Wedding Anniversary at C.P's. The basil encrusted swordfish was the best fish entree I have ever eaten and my husband enjoyed the venison. The waiters were very attentive and helpful. Unfortunately, a lack of communication between the front desk and waiters ruined a surprise I set up one week in advance of our meal. I arranged to have a glass of expensive scotch delivered to the table before dessert. I quietly enquired if my surprise was ready and the waiter appeared puzzled. He returned several minutes later with a dessert and candle and wished my husband a "happy birthday". I then had to leave table/ husband to sort out the error. Surprised about poor communication at detail oriented restaurant."

  • "This is our go to restaurant for excellent food and service. The atmosphere has nice soft lighting and when youare in a booth a good sense of privacy. The steaks, fish and chicken dishes are all excellent and the beet salad is my favorite. The goat mac and cheese is a must have."
