It is a wonderful place for special occasions or if you want a romantic evening.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMA very fun evening...I can't say that it was the best steak I've ever had or, for that matter, in the top 10% but our server was delightful and they worked really hard to make it a great evening for our party. We wanted to take them to a nice dinner and Charley's was perfect. The food was amazing, and the company was even better. Loved the lobster bisque and the Special fried lobster tail on top of the fillet.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a steak house should beWe are long term residents of Kissimmee, and we have been going to Charlie's for years. Every time the food and service have been excellent. The steaks are simply the best that we have ever had. The seafood and side dishes are top shelf, and the deserts are rich and flavorful.
The cuisine is not gimmicky, but straightforward traditional dishes that are prepared to perfection. We all go to some restaurants because of their che-che value, while we always go to Charlie's for the food.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Meal!We had never dined at Charley's before, but wanted to have a good steak. We made a reservation on Mother's Day and realized it would be crowded. However, we were very lucky to learn that Charley's has a lot of smaller dining rooms, which meant it didn't appear crowded or noisy. In addition, the meal was delicious and our server Jeremy was excellent.
We had the Tuna starter, which was excellent. The salad and bread were outstanding. The steaks delicious. The creamed spinach was wonderful. We topped the evening off with the cheese cake which we shared! It was very light and fluffy -- and the perfect ending to a wonderful dinner. We usually order the chicken which is very flavorful and not plain and boring like many restaurants! We order a side of asparagus and au gratin potatoes which are also excellent, the cheesy bread also makes the perfect meal! We always ask for David L to serve us and make sure we go on his day. He is excellent, very organized and attentive, he always makes us feel like the VIPs of the restaurant! Mark the Manager is also great! Last time we went with friends who were visiting from the UK, they ordered a steak and they loved it, was cooked perfectly and very tender! My first choice every time we visit the area. Just get used to shorts and tee shirts at a top of line steak joint! She was willing to make any changes to our choices. We were introduced to the Bison bone in rib steak. It was tasty but a little hard to eat with the grizzle and fat. It was probably the cut and not the fact that it was the healthy bison meat. We had such a great experience, we returned for another great meal. While the ambiance and service was exceptional, the food was not up to the same standard as we enjoyed two years ago. The food was good, not great. The service & food was exceptional, the presentation of steaks on the menu was great too. We arrived early 5:45 pm and by the time we left many of the tables around us were occupied. It was nice to see a few families dining with their children (ages 5-15) who were very well-behaved. Everyone had an awesome meal, and couldn't stop talking about the quality of the steaks they had at Charley's. The service was fantastic, and how all of the different cuts of meat were explained was terrific. I personally decided on the bison ribeye because of the explanation and recommendation made by our waitress. Two others ordered the bison, and a number had the Angus ribeye. Again, all raved about the steak, and were each cooked to exactly how requested.
