To start off with this restaurant is in a very beautiful location with a great view of the USS Yorktown. We showed up about and hour early and told the hostess that we were early and if they had seats available. The restaurant was about a quarter full but it was like I blew up her world with showing early. I told it is was not a big deal and said that I would sit in the bar and wait until my reservation time. Once seated our waiter was very nice and kind of attentive. It took the restaurant 20 mins to serve us our drinks and even longer to get our order in. Over the course of the night "2+hrs" our service was slow and it felt like we where not the only ones. I hope to visit again in a year or so and see if it is under new management.

The first time we attended, everything started out really good. Our waiter was personable and energetic. He made some really good recommendations and the appetizers we server very promptly. After that all of the service seemed to drop off. We sat waiting almost an hour waiting for our entre. Several people started to come over to apologize, but the food still did not come. We were given a free drink and some crab cakes, but in the end our bill was still over $150. Wish they had done a little more to lure us back for a second visit.

I think i found your missing salt…. on my salmon… as i drank through my water quickly after eating each bite… the waiter was very helpful prior to receiving my entree but after…. he nor the expeditor could be found… hence the water glass was empty. The bill arrived about 10 minutes after the completion of my meal, decided not to order dessert as the bill being placed on my table meant to me… don't bother...

The service at the The Fish House was outstanding and the view was pleasant with the exception of the blinding afternoon sun coming through windows with no shades. I ordered snapper which was exquisitly prepared. The sides were good but not great. I probably will return simply because of the quality of the seafood.

Our server was very attentive! The food was good, and in large portions. I had the fried scallops, and they filled the plate! My son (16) had the salmon and there was not a bite left. He said it was the best Mac n Cheese he ever had for his side! My husband had the fish special of the day... swordfish blackened, and it was excellent as well. The view was outstanding. I asked for a table with a view, and was seated right by a window, the sun was shining in our eyes, and there was no issue with us changing to another table, which even a row back had a fabulous view! after dinner, we walked over to the marina to finish enjoying the sunset.

We decided to eat there because it was a rainy night and we were staying on the compound. Boy, was that a great decision. A great example of Southern hospitality!! Our server was Skittles, he was charming, knowledgeable and very well-versed in the food. He recommended a few other Charleston restaurants we should eat at as well as helped us choose some wine. The manager stopped by and greeted us and the hostess was very pleasant. We definitely had a great start to our Charleston vacation.

Lots of tuna, awesome vinaigrette, topped with seaweed salad...it was perfect. I cant wait to go back and get it again. The view was awesome but even though I had a reservation all the outdoor tables were taken. We really wanted to sit out there, not the inside. If you go, request to sit outside its a completely different experience. My wife's mahi was good, not great...the tuna poke was awesome though

Our family group always go out for birthdays and try to always chose someplace that all of us have not visited yet. The Fish House was recommended and it was wonderful. Everything was delicious, our waitress especially attentive, and the view was breathtaking! At first we thought we had come here because of the view; BUT...now we all realize that it was the food!! We have no complaints about the entire experience. We will be going there again soon!!

We visited The Fish House for our anniversary October 5th. Tori was our server, it was her first day on the floor alone and she was delightful! Tori was attentive, engaging and smiled like there was no other place she'd rather be. The roasted scallops were delicious and my husband had the bistro steak; he said it was tender and seasoning was really good. We opted for the bread pudding which was made in their kitchen; it was so very good AND the chef went the extra mile by writing Happy Anniversary on the edge of the plate in chocolate! The view was spectacular of Charleston Harbor. The experience was one to remember as exceptional.

In spite of a killer view of charleston at night, a terrific waiter named Josh and a decent Spanish Mackerel entree, I would not return here. The food is just meh, and Charleston has too many other great restaurants to go back for a second serving of this touristo fare. Specifically, the fried calamari appetizer was so heavily breaded that it laid like a rock in my stomach and killed my appetite for the rest if the meal. Maybe it would be a good place to just sit at the bar and have a drink to watch the view.

We enjoyed the fried green tomatoes and the ceasar salad was average..however we were extremely dissapointed with the blackened chicken..it was way to salty and the sauce was awful....I suggest that you have your chefs taste the blackened chicken Before you serve any more of this dish..2 people in my party ordered this and we did not enjoy it..it put a damper on an otherwise special occasion..It was like someothing you would get in a very mediocre diner ...NOT what we expected.......

The view was great. However, we got the $65 appetizer made up of bland, unseasoned, and tasteless fish. Decided to box up entree of tuna and alvacado. Ordered a desert to see if that was better. Breadpudding. Good texture but nothing added like raisens etc to bring up the interest level. Service was fine and the server should get kudos for upselling the appetizer. Thought it was surprising tgat there were no daily fresh fish entrees. For a town like Charleston which is filled with good restaurants..this was a disappointment

We were a party of four. Jacob, our waiter, was attentive and fast. He was superb: by far the best part of our visit. The west wall is a series of large garage doors through which you see the Yorktown and a small view of the harbor. I'm sure the view is better when the doors are open. The acoustics are TERRIBLE! Don't sit here if you want to have a conversation. One person ordered the Tower or Castle (it's the $65 one) as a main course; it wasn't enough food, he had to order another main course. The restaurant did not have a proper fork for lobster or crab legs. The salmon was very good. The roasted sea scallops were good but not large and there were only FOUR of them. The dessert menu is limited. Over all this place is not good value.

I came here once with family for lunch and loved the scenery and service so I recommended it for our group of four Sunday night. It took us 45 minutes to get the appetizers we each individually ordered, and I had not gotten one oyster in my mouth before our hot meals came. When one member of the group told the manager we were thanked for our honesty and then allowed to go off restaurant week menu for dessert. I'll say - I asked for the key lime and it was gone after the three hour fiasco that became dinner. Having reservations at 730, sitting down right away, but not getting out of a place until 1030 is like being held captive. We watched large tables come amd go around us. It was insane.

The restaurant faces the water in Mount Pleasant, right next to the USS Yorktown, with a view of Charleston across the harbor. Just a short drive across the bridge from Charleston, and free parking, too!. The food was excellent and so was the service. There was a large group in a nearby room so it was a bit noisy, but this was okay in this informal yet elegant eating spot.
