I came here once with family for lunch and loved the scenery and service so I recommended it for our group of four Sunday night. It took us 45 minutes to get the appetizers we each individually ordered, and I had not gotten one oyster in my mouth before our hot meals came. When one member of the group told the manager we were thanked for our honesty and then allowed to go off restaurant week menu for dessert. I'll say - I asked for the key lime and it was gone after the three hour fiasco that became dinner. Having reservations at 730, sitting down right away, but not getting out of a place until 1030 is like being held captive. We watched large tables come amd go around us. It was insane.

The food was great and the service exceptional. I wish I could remember the name of our waiter. I know he is 27 years old and looks 18, is married and has an eleven-month old baby. The manager, Andy, was so very nice and checked with everyone making sure they were satisfied. I most definitely will return to this spot.

Had Brian for our waiter and he was great, very friendly. She Crab soup was very good and the fried oysters were very light considering they were fried. Didn't do the restaurant week menu as there wasn't anything that I cared for. However, my husband had the Mahi Mahi and he said it was very good.

We stayed next door at the Charleston Harbor Resort. The Fish House was next door and a quick walk from the Resort. We made the reservation well in advance and received some nice seating with a nice view of the Ravenel Bridge, USS Yorktown and the Charleston downtown area across the river. It was a Thursday night with a 7PM reservation. Business was good but not overcrowded at all. I would suggest making a reservation beforehand. Our server took good care of us. He was there when we needed him, but he wasn't all over us. We had the Snapper off the daily special menu (which was fried but very moist) and the Fried Fish House Combo (Scallops and Oysters). Very happy with both. We were in and out in 75 minutes. Dress is very casual.

Great location / venue but it takes more than that. The entree arrived right after the salad (never did eat the salad), wife was served an unopen clam with her dish (inexperienced staff or lack of attention) . It was not busy that night, about 25% crowd. The bread pudding was the worse I have ever had, a lump of bread with maple syrup poured on it. They should not offer the bread pudding on the menu if that was their best effort.

Charleston is known for its culinary scene with many award winning chefs but lacks many restaurants with a view of the water. The Charleston Harbor Fish House does not disappoint on both fronts. The food and service were on point and the view overlooking the Cooper River Bridge and USS Yorktown are stunning.

My husband is a chef - so we have high standards. The food was AMAZING!! the infused oil was great, the scallops were cooked perfectly, and the beans and rice it was served with was delicious. My husband requested the calamari without breading - which they accommodated - and it was done perfectly. And the clam chowder was worth writing home about :) We'll definitely be back! Nice view too!!

Dinner at the Charleston Harbor Fish House was exceptional. The service was very good. Our waiter, Jason, was personable and attentive. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The view of Patriots Point was unique, with the aircraft carrier and destroyer docked in the harbor, and the bridge to Charleston suspended in the background, all clearly visible from our table, this was an interesting dining experience. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.

We had reservations and were seated right away. A couple in front of us was told there would be a 45 min wait, so do make reservations. We had dinner @ 7:00, and the sun was rather blinding at certain tables. However, the view of the Yorktown and harbor was just beautiful. Our waiter was very helpful and efficient. The food was superior. I had a glass of wine, which was excellent. Overall we had a wonderful dining experience and will certainly be back.

The view is great overlooking the CHS harbor but the food was average. Tuna special was flavorful but dry and not very hot. The mac and cheese was not hot and overwhelmed with bread crumbs. With hardwood floor and no curtains, it's rather loud. Service was average and his recommendations weren't great. There are many other CHS and Mt Pleasant restaurants with better food and service.

My family visited the Charleston Harbor Fish house on a Saturday night after making reservations through Open Table. We were seated promptly and at a great table overlooking the harbor. Our server, Danielle, was attentive, professional and very nice. We ordered raw oysters and fried pickles for appetizers and they were fresh and tasty. Our entrees were pecan crusted grouper, shrimp and grits, lobster ravioli and crab cakes and everything was delicious. Portion sizes were perfect, even for sharing a bite or two around the table. For dessert, we had key lime pie and a HUGE Milky Way chocolate cake slice. Both were very good and ended our meal on a high note. We will definitely be back the next time we're in town. Thank you, Danielle!

We are local. This was our first time at the Fish House. The crab cakes we had had more filler than crab; the steak was under cooked. It came very rare vs medium which is what was asked for. The tuna was excellent but did come veryrarebutService however was fine and server very polite. As to the atmosphere, we went for the sunset and had requested a table by the window. However the noise level at the bar was so loud we asked to be moved so we could have a conversation.

My overall impression of this restaurant is excellent if you like small portions, nothing hearty here. Third time visiting Fish House. After a company outing, and a date with the wife, went back for Brunch. Food was awesome, views specatular and we are from the area and still love it! Highly recommend the place. Only thing not rating the food outstanding is the syrup that came with the waffles. Way way too out of the box with the gourmet syrup, and has a very very bitter aftertaste. Stick with pure maple syrup.

My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend in Mount Pleasant. We made late reservations at The Fish House with hopes of being seated at a table with a premium view. When we arrived the staff was very hospitable, however we were seated in a room with a different feel from the rest of the restaurant. The room was very bright and the view wasn't as fabulous as it is in the other side of the restaurant. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful when we asked for a different table. The service was outstanding, and the meal was very good. Next time we will go earlier, maybe for lunch, and will be specific about the table/view that we prefer. We will go back though, and would recommend to others.

We have eaten a couple there other times. The food has been good each time. The service this last time was awful. Waiter was nice but was either oblivious or overwhelmed. Asked for butter for bread but had to ask twice and we had eaten all the bread by the time he got back. Had to be reminded twice if drink order and request for tartar sauce. The view is beautiful but there is definitely a training problem with wait staff. Our waiter told us he hoped we all had a wonderful experience as we left, and we all laughed as he seemed totally unaware of how frustrated we were. There are so many great restaurants in the area so we will bring our wallets to another one next time.
