This was a "girlie" trip for my sister and I and we wanted a fairly fancy dinner without being tooooo terribly pricey. This fit the bill to a tee. Service was awesome and with a smile, food and wine/drinks were great! Will go there again when I visit the area.

We enjoyed the fried green tomatoes and the ceasar salad was average..however we were extremely dissapointed with the blackened chicken..it was way to salty and the sauce was awful....I suggest that you have your chefs taste the blackened chicken Before you serve any more of this dish..2 people in my party ordered this and we did not enjoy it..it put a damper on an otherwise special occasion..It was like someothing you would get in a very mediocre diner ...NOT what we expected.......

My experience at the Charleston fish house on 9/20/14 was "so so". The service was great through, my waiter was very prompt and attentive. The food on the other hand was a bit of a bore....... and the crackers that were given with my soup where stale, I mean so stale they didn't Crack when you bit them...... but anyway the view of the bridge and the cooper river was phenomenal.

My friends and I really enjoyed our visit, plus the best views of Charleston Harbor. The food was very good and so was the service....our waiters name was Jason, what a hoot! He was also a wealth of information concerning our wine and food choices. We are all looking forward to our next visit!

The view was great. However, we got the $65 appetizer made up of bland, unseasoned, and tasteless fish. Decided to box up entree of tuna and alvacado. Ordered a desert to see if that was better. Breadpudding. Good texture but nothing added like raisens etc to bring up the interest level. Service was fine and the server should get kudos for upselling the appetizer. Thought it was surprising tgat there were no daily fresh fish entrees. For a town like Charleston which is filled with good restaurants..this was a disappointment

We were a party of four. Jacob, our waiter, was attentive and fast. He was superb: by far the best part of our visit. The west wall is a series of large garage doors through which you see the Yorktown and a small view of the harbor. I'm sure the view is better when the doors are open. The acoustics are TERRIBLE! Don't sit here if you want to have a conversation. One person ordered the Tower or Castle (it's the $65 one) as a main course; it wasn't enough food, he had to order another main course. The restaurant did not have a proper fork for lobster or crab legs. The salmon was very good. The roasted sea scallops were good but not large and there were only FOUR of them. The dessert menu is limited. Over all this place is not good value.

I came here once with family for lunch and loved the scenery and service so I recommended it for our group of four Sunday night. It took us 45 minutes to get the appetizers we each individually ordered, and I had not gotten one oyster in my mouth before our hot meals came. When one member of the group told the manager we were thanked for our honesty and then allowed to go off restaurant week menu for dessert. I'll say - I asked for the key lime and it was gone after the three hour fiasco that became dinner. Having reservations at 730, sitting down right away, but not getting out of a place until 1030 is like being held captive. We watched large tables come amd go around us. It was insane.

The food was great and the service exceptional. I wish I could remember the name of our waiter. I know he is 27 years old and looks 18, is married and has an eleven-month old baby. The manager, Andy, was so very nice and checked with everyone making sure they were satisfied. I most definitely will return to this spot.

The restaurant faces the water in Mount Pleasant, right next to the USS Yorktown, with a view of Charleston across the harbor. Just a short drive across the bridge from Charleston, and free parking, too!. The food was excellent and so was the service. There was a large group in a nearby room so it was a bit noisy, but this was okay in this informal yet elegant eating spot.

Had Brian for our waiter and he was great, very friendly. She Crab soup was very good and the fried oysters were very light considering they were fried. Didn't do the restaurant week menu as there wasn't anything that I cared for. However, my husband had the Mahi Mahi and he said it was very good.

We stayed next door at the Charleston Harbor Resort. The Fish House was next door and a quick walk from the Resort. We made the reservation well in advance and received some nice seating with a nice view of the Ravenel Bridge, USS Yorktown and the Charleston downtown area across the river. It was a Thursday night with a 7PM reservation. Business was good but not overcrowded at all. I would suggest making a reservation beforehand. Our server took good care of us. He was there when we needed him, but he wasn't all over us. We had the Snapper off the daily special menu (which was fried but very moist) and the Fried Fish House Combo (Scallops and Oysters). Very happy with both. We were in and out in 75 minutes. Dress is very casual.

Great location / venue but it takes more than that. The entree arrived right after the salad (never did eat the salad), wife was served an unopen clam with her dish (inexperienced staff or lack of attention) . It was not busy that night, about 25% crowd. The bread pudding was the worse I have ever had, a lump of bread with maple syrup poured on it. They should not offer the bread pudding on the menu if that was their best effort.

My husband is a chef - so we have high standards. The food was AMAZING!! the infused oil was great, the scallops were cooked perfectly, and the beans and rice it was served with was delicious. My husband requested the calamari without breading - which they accommodated - and it was done perfectly. And the clam chowder was worth writing home about :) We'll definitely be back! Nice view too!!

Dinner at the Charleston Harbor Fish House was exceptional. The service was very good. Our waiter, Jason, was personable and attentive. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The view of Patriots Point was unique, with the aircraft carrier and destroyer docked in the harbor, and the bridge to Charleston suspended in the background, all clearly visible from our table, this was an interesting dining experience. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.

We had dinner @ 7:00, and the sun was rather blinding at certain tables. However, the view of the Yorktown and harbor was just beautiful. Our waiter was very helpful and efficient. The view is great overlooking the CHS harbor but the food was average. Tuna special was flavorful but dry and not very hot. The mac and cheese was not hot and overwhelmed with bread crumbs. With hardwood floor and no curtains, it's rather loud. Service was average and his recommendations weren't great. There are many other CHS and Mt Pleasant restaurants with better food and service.
