Charles InnA wonderful experience overall.A wonderful experience overall. Thanks for a memorable Anniversary Dinner.7/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat meal in a excellent spot!We had a great meal at the Charles Inn. The service was very polished and the dining room has an excellent ambiance. I had the filet which was done perfectly (rare) which came with delicious sides and my wife had the pickerel which was also perfectly cooked with great sides. It was a lovely meal from greeting to finish. I would note that you can bring your own wine for a modest corkage fee.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day at the CharlesWe enjoyed the prix fix menu at mother's day. It was well prepared, fresh and an excellent value. We are looking forward to our return when the weather is nice enough to allow for outdoor dining!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent dinnerWe had yet another wonderful meal! The menu is creative and the food artfully prepared. The service was attentive. Our server had an excellent command of the menu. The duck was exquisite and the lemon tart was amazing.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMFantasticWe celebrated a birthday celebration and we cannot have picked a more suitable restaurant in Niagara. We enjoy good food and have had the opportunity to try various establishments and this was one of the best meals we've had. Besides outstanding food, service was terrific, the meal was well-paced and the setting was very nice. A definite 'recommend'.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMMy girlfriend and I orderedMy girlfriend and I ordered the Tasting Menu with wine pairings and had a wonderful evening. Everything was absolutely perfect - the food, the wine, the service... It was the nicest dining experience we've had at Niagara-on-the-Lake.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMbest deal in niagara-on-the-lakethe charles inn lounge was leather club chair comfortable. staff friendly and efficient. food DELICIOUS! the menu samples the offerings in the larger dining room. we couldn't tell if the portion sizes or sides were different. but we were pleased with the portions we received and the price was very agreeable. $15 for shepherd's pie-sirloin beef tips braised to succulent perfection, with savory roasted veg, creamy potato topping and enough au jus to sop with your complementary warm bread. the perfectly large gin martini with 3, count 'em, 3 olives didn't hurt the appetizer of crisp and creamy handmade frites with truffle aioli. the appetizer of potatoes before a serving of shepherd's pie did not seem at all heavy or redundant-merely ironic :)5/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
