The food is central European with including lots of German and Romanian influenced dishes. The extraordinary homemade cakes are not to be missed including some probably not found anywhere in Houston. The mention of so many special items featuring "spargel" (white asparagus) instantly brought back fond memories (& cravings) for this carefully grown delicacy, which is treasured each year in Germany especially, during Spring. We were not disappointed. The special multi-course "business dinner" featured asparagus soup, a side of tender asparagus with my delicious Holstein schnitzel. Every aspect of the meal was well thoughtout and the guest is treated as such. Maria runs the dining room and no request is too small. Let her help you with the menu and beverage pairings. Same room for Chef Johann's homemade desserts, the chocolate hazelnut torte and lemon creme brulee torte were outstanding. Cuisine is European, a melange of German, Swiss, Romanian, French, Hungarian. Prices on the higher side, but portions were overly generous and quality is excellent.
