  • "Dining at Charivari is a wonderful reminder of what eating at a restaurant can, and ideally should be. The pleasant, attentive, and helpful service; the creative, diverse, well-explained menu; the beautifully presented and absolutely delicious food. This is one of those places that does everything so very well that one feels comfortable ordering dishes that might normally be a bit outside his prior knowledge or comfort zone, trusting that they will be very tasty and enjoyable. It all combines so that we never fail to smile during our meal and inevitably find ourselves smiling as we leave the restaurant, reminding ourselves how much we enjoyed it and how much we look forward to our next visit."

  • "All though waiters were nice. The food wasn't that great for the original price and what you would expect. Definitely would make sure you tell them how you want your meat cooked because per chef's recommendation it is medium rare. However it really seemed rare which was very unappetizing to us and my spouse didn't eat any of it. That is something very simple that can be changed by request. The steak just didn't seem to be very favorful. I think they rely on the sauce for all the flavor. The lobster bisque was too salty maybe cause of the butter not sure. So would I go again unfortunately not but wish them the best. And as far as the taxes and gratuity that everyone has spoke about."

  • "Our reservation was for 715 and we were seated by 710. Mostly empty with the exception of a private party of 20-30 people. I believe this is the reason for the poor service. We had a 4 course meal and it was 30-45 minutes between each course and no one let us know they were running behind.The food was really good but the lack of communication and extremely long wait made this a bad experience. The waiters were very nice, but I do think they were understaffed that night. I would eat here again."

  • "Old world/old school dinning experience. Great place to relax and enjoy a multi-course meal. Too many "foodie" restaurants today run algorithms on how many customers they need to run through each table to make a profit. Just one reason they don't last, they treat customers like a commodity. Charivari's staff are quiet and unpretentious and make you feel you have all the time in the world. Food was creative and remarkable. Truly a unique experience in today's fast-paced, scheduled world."

Charivari is perfect for lunch, a perfect place to dine with friends or bring business clients. Dinners are wonderful, in a classy, and romantic setting.   • "If you are looking for a really special restaurant that has it all, this is it! You can carry on a conversation which is almost as important as the food! And the food is wonderful. I love that all the entrees are brought to the table under covered silver domes and they are put in front of the dinner at the exact same time. The drinks are reasonable. Can't wait to go back."

  • "Overall, the experience at Charivari was a good one. The food was good.. unfortunately, it was not great which is what I was expecting given the prices. Portions are on the smaller side, which was fine with me but my friend was dissatisfied (and still hungry when we left lol). Regardless, the food came out hot and fresh from the kitchen. Our drinks were great! I ordered the rhubarb martini and it was spot on.. very well poured! The wait staff was great! Very friendly and helpful :) In conclusion, I was not necessarily disappointed with my dining experience but I just wasn't impressed either... with so many great restaurants in the area, I do not feel that the food stood out at all."

  • "We went to this restaurant for our anniversary and it was just okay. The host greeted us when we first walked in and he was very nice. The waiter took FOREVER to come to our table. I think we were sitting there for about minutes before we even received water. The waiter who took our order just mumbled and would barely speak up. All of the food was sort of bland. I read rave reviews on this place and was expecting to be blown away, but left underwhelmed. The black garlic potatoes could have used at least a sprinkle of salt or anything to spruce them up. I will say the steak was cooked perfectly, but again, it could have used more seasoning. The chef came by to check on our table as well as everyone else and he was very nice."

  • "My friend and I ordered the same dishes, and they plated our food incorrectly, putting her side on my sliver of what must have been the skinniest cow ever. Call me crazy but I grew up in Texas and I KNOW what a STEAK should look like. Became unfriendly when I wanted corrected. We had the apple strudel which looked beautiful, I could hear the chef yelling at the waiter about my sending it back and asking for the raspberry sauce to be removed from the plate, hate raspberry. Then I got a very sad looking strudel with no powdered sugar, or cream. When the bill was brought they charged us for a Bottle of wine, when we only had 2 gasses. I can get pretty darn full on $109 elsewhere, and get an actual steak and be treated respectfully."

  • "I took a friend here with a groupon just to check the place out. It seemed to be a much older crowd of diners. Mostly 60-70 something's dining in large groups. There must have been some sort of event going on that night. The host was very friendly and sat us right away. I was disappointed that it took over 10 minutes for our waiter to greet us and offer us a wine list. The food was delicious. My favorites off the 4 course menu were the lobster bisque, the top sirloin with the green peppercorn sauce and the applewood smoked bacon ice cream. The chef stopped by to ask us how the food tasted which I thought was nice. Overall we had a nice experience at Charivari and will definitely return."

  • "An elegant, romantic dining room, with the culinary creations of chef Johann is an excellent combination. Consistently excellent food and a limited but very good selection of wines. Central Europe shines through Johann's cooking, with Western and South American twists that add the unexpected touch. This is the only place in town for the Austro-Hungarian torts, which makes each visit a delight. At this visit, we have a delightful piano player who proviced delightful background music at volumes that still allowed civilized dialogue. Bravo again!"

  • "It was a nice experience. The food was either a hot or miss... Some things were excellent like the sorbet, the spread paired with bread, and deserts. But the steaks were tough and rosco sauce did not complement it at all. Overall the food wasn't great, maybe if I ordered something else... Experience was great but probably won't be back because it was pretty pricey for ok tasting food."
