Diner Reviews
  • "Food wasn't anything special. Mediocre at best. Bathrooms were nasty."

  • "I made a reservation for six, for a bachelorette party. We were treated immediately like VIP. Zack is the person to talk to. Zack set us up with VIP wristbands, bottle service and mixers on the front patio right on bourbon street. We met a bachelor party and they joined us! It was so much fun! Ask for Big Josh if the bride needs some personal attention! We even went back the next night, best idea to have our dinner there. If you are looking for a party, Saints and Sinners is were its at!!!"

  • "We had a terrible experience at a restaurant where we had a reservation, and ended up walking out without having even ordered our meal. Stuck for a place to go at 9:15 p.m., Open Table had available Saints and Sinners. We were seated immediately, and received excellent service throughout the dinner. The atmosphere is quirky and fun, and the menu was basic, good, and nothing to disappoint. It was surefire and kind of "saved the evening" related to the very poor experience we had at a nearby Jackson Square known restaurant (that'll receive a bad review elsewhere) that sure could take a lesson about good service from this new restaurant entry in the New Orleans scene."

  • "I called ahead for reservations. Was no need. When we arrived besides a couple at the bar; we were the only diners. Very limited men-u. I ordered the burger & fries. I ordered the burger well-done; however, it arrived medium - well. They have branded their logo on the bun which made the otherwise soft bun too hard for my liking. The fries were hot and tasty. Took the waitress forever to refill our drinks. The music was way too loud and not my style. Decor was nice. Could be a winner with some changes."

  • "The staff at Saints snd Sinners were all super friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere casually elegant. Don't let the limited menu fool you!"

  • "We made reservations for dinner before the night out on Bourbon Street. I guess because it was early there weren't many people in the restaurant. The burgers were enormous and very tasty. Service was exceptional. Thanks for a great dinner."

  • "The presentation of the food could've been done better. It was delicious but places on large plates with not much garnishment so it looked weird."

  • "So, we were in NOLA and my friends wanted to go here, but I didn't want to. I figured that it was horrible, but had Channing Tatum's name in it and that's all that kept it afloat and I wasn't going to pay for his name....I was hungry after all! Boy was I surprised. we had a group of 8 and we ordered several appetizers and they were all fabulous ( my fav was the crab cake). Everyone ordered different things and they all loved them. I got the BBQ shrimp and grits and practically licked the bowl. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and would def go back again!"

  • "Our waitress was great! Super nice/super friendly. Ambiance fit well with the Bourbon street scene. Bordello fun and wild! We had a great girls' night out. However, food was just "ok". I suggest you eat at a better restaurant and head to Saints & Sinners for the wild after party. (PS: Washrooms are not clean so be prepared for that.)"

  • "Our server was great and the food was good. I had the shrimp and grits (noted on the menu as Channing's favorite). The shrimp was fantastic, however the grits was slightly bland, but the barbecue sauce that is drizzled over it added a little more flavor. The drink menu looks fantastic, just wish the menu offered a bit more."

  • "When searching for dining opportunities in NOLA Saints & Sinners came across my search and led me to believe this was a happening dining spot. I was entertaining a customer and to my surprise there was a stripper pole in what they call the dining room. This is not a proper Restaurant but a bar with a dinnermenu. The waiter actually chuckled when I asked for a wine list. The wait staff was very friendly and the food wasn't bad, however, this is by no means a place to dine. Sorry Channing, luv your work, but the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired."

  • "This is a unique restaurant on Bourbon Street. The decor and the ambience fit the location, and so does the food. The service was very good, and all of the staff were very friendly. This was a fun place to eat in a fun part of the city."

  • "We had the gumbo, jambalaya and alligator's tails for dinner. All of the dishes were pretty good. The alligator's tails were the best. Great drink selection from the bar."

  • "We made reservations for five of us on Fat Tuesday because it has a great location. The place was half full on probably should be the busiest day of the year. Walking in the reception was not organized and not welcoming. We contemplated leaving if it wasn't so cold out and we were so hungry. The menu was small but we knew that when planning the night. The waitress was pleasant and we got our drinks right away. The food was okay for what we ordered. We expected an upbeat fun place and this place just wasn't it."

  • "My friends & I went there thinking it would be a fun place to get a bite to eat before we go out. We all like CT as an Actor, we thought this would be an ok place to try. The menu looked decent, there was only one vegan choice. Our Waiter was useless. He didn't know what made the Vegetarian choice not Vegan. He didn't know what Vegan meant. We had to ask a cook who ended up eating his meal on his break time at a table next to us. We made reservations at 8:45pm, well the place where we were sitting turns in to a dance area, not even 15 minutes into our meal, the music gets turned up crazy loud, and all the other tables and chairs are moved. Our waiter also hurried us out, by giving us our receipts very soon after. Not impressed at all!"

  • "While I booked this restaurant for the experience and name I was truly let down. It's unfortunate that someone well known has put his name behind this establishment and the experience not be fulfilling. Not too sure if it was because of Mardi Gras, the lack of patron usage, or just being plain lazy but if a paying customer has a request and it can't be guaranteed, you should notify this customer so money and time isn't wasted. Reservations were made and I was assured prior to visiting that My request was confirmed; An attempt to accommodate to your capabilities would of been an extra percentage on the tip. But nonetheless, the hosting staff and our server were very helpful to the best of their abilities, truly appreciative."

  • "BEST place to have a Girl's Night Out! Channing really knows how to cater to the ladies. If you want to have a great time while looking at some pretty nice eye candy, than this is the place for you. How can you not have fun with a pole in the middle of the restaurant/dance club (after 9 pm) and the option of having a male dancer for your group?! Great, great time and the food was fabulous too, ya know, if that is the reason you were coming in the first place ;)."

  • "This restaurant was good for taking a quick retreat from the chaos of Mardi Gras. The menu is VERY small- I think they mean for it to be mainly a bar. The hamburgers and the Homeade Crawfish pie are fantastic. I had a party of seven that sampled pretty much everything on the menu. The hamburger and the pie were the only favorites. The staff was very patient and kind amongst the chaos. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you are spending time at the bar. Get the "Sex on the balcony" specialty drink!"

  • "Loved the decor, overall vibe, and the outside seating so we could see what was happening right out on Bourbon street.. I ordered the silk panties martini, cheese Kurds appetizer, and pulled pork sandwich. All very good. My husband got the crawfish pie and the shrimp and grits meal and he was very pleased with both of them."

  • "We came down for Mardi gras and we are so glad we ate there. The food was amazing and our waitress was the best! We came back later to dance and we even came back the next night to dance some more. They really care about Customer service there. We will definitely return next year!"

  • "The food was incredibly good, from the appetizer to the huge portioned meals and desert. It's a good place for sharing. The cocktails were yummy, the service was excellent, though we did dine before the dinner rush arrived. The bar is beautiful and the decor is thoughtful and fun. Will definitely dine here again."

  • "The staff was very gracious in accommodating my large group of 13 for my boyfriends' birthday. We were late and they still held our reservation and were kind, friendly and understanding. Our table was upstairs right near the balcony overlooking Bourbon St so we could step out and see the fun going on. The atmosphere was very cool and we all enjoyed our food. I would dine again the next time I'm in New Orleans."

  • "While the service was great, the food was just marginal. I realize expectations are high in New Orleans for Foodies but feel it fell short of the cullinary mark."

  • "We heard about Channing's bar on Good Morning America and since we visit NO frequently, we decided to visit. It was my wifes b-day and a belated b-day gift for a long-time friend. The place is centrally located and staff was great. Menu needs some work...maybe more appetizers. Good drink selection and loved the logo on the ceiling. Overall....great time."

  • "We were the only ones there for lunch so it was quiet compared to the night crowd. We were split on the food - pulled pork sandwich great; surf & turf great; shrimp poboy - good; oysters good; banging shrimp not good; gumbo not good."

  • "We took a group of 11 girls here for a bachelorette party and it was amazing. Not only did we have an enjoyable meal but we also were given quite the special treatment and of course they treated the bride to be extremely well. After dinner we spent time walking around bourbon street and had so much fun there we ended up back there to finish out our night. It was amazing!"

  • "Chose this restaurant based mainly on the novelty of it being Channing Tatum's place, and planning to spend time in the bar area after dinner. Dinner menu looked average, but we figured ambiance, fun drinks, etc would make up for that. Went on a Sunday night just before 9 for dinner, and we were excited, having seen the place insanely packed the night before. On Sunday at 8:30PM, the place was....dead. A handful of people at the bar watching a game, and 1 other table of girls upstairs where we sat. Bright lights, no music, mediocre food. The game was on upstairs, fine, but then Fox was just left on, and we were treated to 7 gory stabbings on the show the Following, which they continued to show until we complained. Total buzzkill."

  • "this place is in an old house and decorated like a brothel. Having visited a number of brothels I can tell you it was spot on. i was not crazy about the food, i guess the word average comes to mind. I visit New Orleans for the GREAT food not the ok food. This was an average dinner in an ocean of great restaurants."

  • "Just a word to rave about our recent visit to Channing Tatum's " Saints and Sinners " restaurant in New Orleans . The food was awesome , the service was supreme and personable , the venue itself is very interesting and we had a great time . I'd go back in a minute !!!"

  • "First night in NOLA and we were expecting a bit of higher end place based on the reviews and photos on Open Table. However S&S is really just a bar with a few tables. Our server was exceptionally sweet which improved the experience. The "alligator " wings were tasty, but could have been chicken for all we knew. My beans and rice was just OK as were the other dishes, not bad, just nothing to get excited about. The crime brûlée dessert was the highlight of the meal. Cocktails were watered down. Wine on the menu was not available, twice! If you don't have It, put a note on the menu or let the server know before we order!"

  • "Loved that Tori the Chef came out twice to talk to us. We had a group of 14 in their Speak Easy room and it had so much character. We had a blast and the Shrimp and Grits...amazing!"

  • "We went to Saints and Sinners for my bachelorette party and had the most enjoyable time. The wait staff was kind and helpful, not to mention patient with a group of 10 girls. The food was also delicious - I highly recommend the cheese curds and the shrimp and grits!"

  • "At $29, the "surf and turf" was a good deal. Also, the red velvet cake was very moist - much better than expected. Having access to a balcony overlooking bourbon street was an unexpected bonus."
