Chandlers SteakhouseChandler'sDelicious meals, great selection of wines, great atmosphere, attentive wait staff. Wonderful dining experience. We will be back for more special occasions!5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Experience! We had a great experience as a party of 8 on Saturday night. The food and service were excellent! If you're a seafood snob, avoid the crab cakes and the oyster dishes, but the steaks, fish, sides, etc. were all wonderful!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMPricey but decentMy fiance and I went to Chandlers to celebrate our recent engagement. We wanted a nice quiet, romantic spot but ended up near the server station AND the door to the patio. The restaurant was fairly busy and when we asked to be relocated we were expecting to wait for a table. However our server instantly located a nice table for us and moved us with no fuss whatsoever. Best service in town! The food was decent, my fiance had the swordfish which was a bit dry and overly zested. I had the Cowboy Steak and it was so good I wanted to pick up the bone and gnaw on it. I would say we were very happy with the ambiance, jazzy music, food and especially the service! We will be going back after our wallets recover from what was a truly expensive night.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMChandler'sThis is our favorite Boise special occasion restaurant. It never disappoints for quality of service and food.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesomeHad a very wonderful dining experience. Didn't see/find/have anything that I could be negative about. Comping a dessert to our guest of honor was thoughtful and appreciated we will be coming back .4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent selection of winesExcellent selection of wines of all types. Pricey, but what you would expect for a nice restaurant like this. Nice piano music while you eat but it also makes the talking level go up to talk over the music.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMService is A-1 from beginningService is A-1 from beginning to end. Valet your car, when you finish dinner and payment your car awaits you in front of HOTEL 43.
Food and appetizers remarkable.
Always enjoy the Sunday Prime Rib.
Deserts fantastic as well.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMA dining event!I travel 700 miles 3x/yr to dine at Chandler's, oh, and to see family :-); I live in the Bay area so have a choice of outstanding restaurants but this one is my favorite.
The servers are professional and ensure the dining experience is perfect.
The food....I do not eat beef..except 3x/yr and I am never disappointed; the steak knives need not be used.
Being satiated by my meal, dessert is not an option fo rme, except, the fresh berries with house whipped whipped cream.
Thank you so much for making the trip through the desert in a uhaul worth every grain of sand!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMHit or MissThat comment usually elicits a big "uh oh," yet I'm giving Chandlers 5 stars. The misses are 2 prominently featured items that were duds. First, the bad: Cowboy Steak - 20 oz. dry-aged bone-in ribeye - was actually a bit tough. That much marbling yet still tough?? The other disappointment was the chocolate souffle - almost no chocolate in the souffle, just in the chocolate sauce - total yuck. But the good news is VERY good: the Wagyu flat-iron steak might be the best beef experience of your life, the bouillebaisse tastes like you're in Marseille, the Caesars salad was so fresh the leaves were still twitching, the chocolate mousse made my eyes roll back in my head, and the trifecta was superb!!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had to wait 40 minutesWe had to wait 40 minutes for our table. However we were given credits on the bill four this.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMValet parking was a breeze.Valet parking was a breeze. Upon paying the bill, they had my car pulled up automatically4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMEXPENSIVE BUT SO WORTH IT!Oh my! Where do I begin? From the moment you step through the glass doors, you know you are in a classy place. Spotless, demure lighting, beautiful cobalt blue accessory lighting. Waiters friendly but not intrusive; know their menus well. The food was exquisite! Delicious to the taste! My filet mignon cooked to my perfection; very flavorful and tender. Idaho baked potato delicious as was the asparagus, salad, sour dough rolls, just everything. The Cheesecake for dessert was to die for! Be sure to ask for the raspberry topping! I liked it better than the chocolate souflee, but that was special too. Very expensive, but you have to remember, you are not only paying for the food, but for the entire experience! Music delightful!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have dined at ChandlersWe have dined at Chandlers several times. It is very pricey but the ambiance and service is high quality. The food is prepared with much care although it is not "to die for". We will continue to dine there as we learn what to order and what not to order.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWe make a special stop andWe make a special stop and an over night each time we travel through Boise just for the great dinners we always have at Chandlers.
