  • "Maybe it was the season but I have to admit dinner at one of our favorite spots was just "so -so" this time. "

  • "I had chosen specifically Chandler's Crab house for Easter Brunch due to special needs for one of our guests. I'd seen on the general menu that the restaurant did have gluten-free selections from which which to choose. However upon our arrival , the server explained to us that the Brunch was already pre-established ..so my guest did the next best thing and selected a side dish which was accepted except was delivered with a strawberry which she is allergic to. Had to be returned... 10 minutes later, the manager returned personally delivering to my guest her own plate sans strawberry and thus was able to enjoy a joyous brunch with the rest of us. thank you "

  • "Brought my daughter and two grandchildren on Easter for Brunch. there were many items to choose from and the wait staff was outstanding with the kids. Attentive, accommodating and smiling the whole time. The view of the lake provided visual entertainment for the kids. Overall, a great place for a family gathering!"

  • "Took my fiancé here for her birthday. Reservations for 7:00 pm, arrived and were seated on time. Professional and exceedingly pleasant staff. Crab Whiskey bisque was excellent, Caesar salad, mushrooms were fine. King crab legs were a treat, but would have liked them served warm rather than chilled, personal preference, speaking. Pricey but fun place to go for special occasions. Fine alternative to Daniels when you want seafood rather than beef. "

  • "Overpriced. Restaurant week menu was mediocre. Disappointed. Went for son's 18th birthday and they gave him a pathetic candle in a dessert he ordered. Soup was okay. Could not find crab in crab pot pie:(:(:(. View amazing!"

  • "Friday night, clear skies, friends from back east. Drinks at the bar were great & the bar tender was very knowledgeable & fun. Dinner started with excellent appetizers. Main course included crab & shrimp that was perfectly done. Dessert was special - - banana crème pie - - good size serving (took most home) - not too sweet. Our server was very nice & didn't push us through the meal. Very relaxed & fun for all of us. A great evening for us all."

  • " Three of us went to Chandler's during Restaurant Week and ordered from the special menu. The food was very good, portion size was reasonable but not huge, and service was attentive and professional. We were able to get a window table and the view was outstanding."

  • "I did not even know that King Crab had tails but they were awesome! The waitress was a gem, the view is always great but to find a delicious dish that you did not even know existed is a real treat."

  • "Notified thru O.T. this was syblings 60th birthday and would appreciate any special touches at table. There was never any mention of occassion by staff(until I said Happy B.day to sister when staff delivered drink.) I was disappointed, too many places have flowers, printed menus w/guests name, card at table. I was hoping for better experience than times past, but still no improvement."

  • "Chose to go as it was a place I wouldn't normally goto (so I thought), but it was part of restaurant week. It was awesome. Great service, cocktails, nice wine list (but the mark up is HUGE), and food was quite good. I will definitely go back, even outside of restaurant week. Looks like they have a great happy hour, which would be a blast in the summer. Regardless, this place is worth the splurge!!!"

  • "Wanted a change and tryout a new restaurant but not too over the top. The scene was perfect and joined by my 2 nieces it was an enjoyable dinner and relaxation after work. We had the opportunity to watch planes take-off and land, sailboats, and even hawaiian outrigger canoe paddling! Our server Christian was a 10++ outstanding service and loves what he does. I had the Ahi poke its a different version for what i am used to but it was ono (delicious)! Would I share our experience and visit your restaurant again? YOU BET!! Mahalo :)"

  • "We had fresh oysters on the half shell, their ahi tuna with sticky rice & baby bok choy, and a New York Steak with golden mashed potatoes. All so good! The preparation of the baby bok choy was superb as was the seared ahi tuna. Steak and potatoes? Scrumptious. Service - perfect and just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we ordered their banana cream pie. Oh so good! Our waiter was professional but had a sense of humor. Entire experience was wonderful!"

  • "We had a reservation on a Sunday night for Restaurant Week and waited 30 minutes for our table to be ready. The view of Lake Union from our table was lovely and the ambiance was quiet. Appetizers of crab soup, clam chowder and ahi poke were well received. Entrees arrived but our appetizer dishes were still on the table which was awkward. Crab pot pie was average. The salmon in the salmon entree was overcooked and had little flavor. Dishes were removed effectively after the entree but then we waited a significant duration for the dessert to arrive. Creme brule and key lime pie were okay. At the end of the meal, our party decided that Chandler's has a beautiful location but we would not return due to the poor quality of food and service."

  • "So I made my reservation for 8pm. Arrived promptly in time thinking we would be seated right around 8. Unfortunately I kept being told my the hostess that it would be just a few more min. Didn't get seated till about 830. Not a good start to an evening. Had to constantly ask the waiter for more water, didn't take initiative to take away empty plates. THE Crab Pot Pie I ordered had crab shells in it with almost every bite. My boyfriend ordered the key lime pie, which is his all time favorite which they were out of. I'm not sure I would ever return."

  • "Had a three course special with the poke for starter, crab pot pie for entree, and key lime for dessert. My party shared an order of the crab cake. The crab cake order is very small for the price but the quality was very good and so I recommend it in spite of the price vs size. The poke had high quality ahi but overall seemed too unbalanced on the avocado taste; intentionally taking parts with more tuna and caper tasted better. The crab pot pie was a bit of a let down for me being too much cream and not enough crab for my taste, bit was still very good. The dessert was solid and had excellent crust. Overall, I have to question the value here, but the food was good if unbalanced and the view was quite good too."

  • "Went to this place for the first time. Service was good. Menu emphasized crab, not surprisingly, but had little of interest otherwise. We ordered two crab dishes and did not like them. They were beautiful to look at but crab had no taste and everything else on the plate had little taste. Desert menu is terrible, Very expensive ($40 for 8 oz of crab) for good service and bland food. I am already having trouble remembering what we had."

  • "Dishes read better on the menu than they tasted on the plate. Everything was kind of mushy--no clear flavors or textures. The special crab cake was huge, but it would have been better as three separate cakes--it lost the crunch-to-crab ratio. Only dish that was really tasty was the ahi poke. The views of Lake Union, however, are awesome."

  • "Chandler's has a great view and lots of light, which was great. Location and parking are good, but it was difficult to find the actual restaurant. They could use some sandwich boards pointing the way. Service was very friendly and professional. One of our items was forgotten, but was comped when the server realized what had happened. Their brunch menu was a bit lacking. I had the crab cake with egg. The crab cake was a bit disappointing, not as flavorful as I wanted and a bit thick. Two crab cakes are $40, so glad I stuck to just one. This would be a great place to take out of towners on a nice day or a special family occasion."

  • "I have never been here because no one has ever said "you got to eat at..." I made a reservation assuming that they save the tables by the windows for reservations. Nice to watch the seaplanes take off and enjoy the view of the water. The Ahi app was great. I didn't love the puff pastry for the pot pie but they were generous with the crab meat. I wasn't floored by the food but I will be back to give it a second try outside of Restaurant Week. For now I am answering "no" to the recommend question, hopefully the second time around will be better. Also server was very helpful and professional!"

  • "My boyfriend and I tried Chandler's Crabhouse during Dine Around Seattle. When I made a reservation online I asked if I could have a table by the window, and they had one available for us when we got there (which I appreciated). It was a nice view and I'd love to go back in the summer. Our server was attentive and was happy to answer any questions we had. The food was good. The tuna poke appetizer was a little on the salty side, but they were generous with the size of the tuna. I would probably go back if it were for a special occasion or for happy hour."

  • "I had a gift card to use which was good at either Daniels Boiler or Chandlers Crabhouse. So wish we would have done the steakhouse. My husband thought he was getting cod and veggies but got a bowl full of fishy tasting broth with a piece of cod and some funky mushrooms. Could have taken some water from lake union, warmed it up a bit and it would have tasted similar. My crab cakes were ok and the free creme brulee for my birthday was a nice gesture even though it wasn't that good."

  • "Celebrated combined Anniversary and Birthday. Staff was curious, informed and went out of their way to meet our every wish. Crab Fest menu was complete and with help from host, we selected the East meets West Crab Cakes (Dungeness and Blue Crabs). Delicious entry with a unique rice and vegetable. My Blue Sapphire Martini was outstanding. We eat out frequently and this was a most pleasant experience. I will recommend Chandlers to all my business associates and friends."

  • "We dined for brunch for our 12th Anniversary, and brought our 11 year old son along. Had a very lovely meal, and the service was excellent. They took special care to make sure our son was taken care of by getting his food out a bit early, in between our appetizer and main course. We tried the crab tails which were very good. We were surprised by a very nice complementary dessert for our anniversary which was a nice touch. The entire staff wished us a happy anniversary upon arrival, during, and when leaving. Overall a very positive experience and we plan on coming back for dinner sometime! The view was spectacular!"

  • "We found this restaurant while browsing through the "city guide" in our hotel. It was about a mile walk, which wasn't bad, and well worth the trip. The staff were excellent, our server (Megan) was incredible, and the food was absolutely delicious. The manager even arranged for a cab to take us back to the hotel, as the temperatures had dipped below freezing. WE'LL BE BACK!"

  • "First time in Seattle and this restaurant was a great experience. The waiters/waitress's were very attentive to every guest. Our waitress was very informative about the menu and very kind not expecting anything. Definitely one of the best service's I have ever recieved in a restaurant and I go to plenty."

  • "I loved the feel of the restaurant and the view of the lake was spectacular but the food was a disappointment given the promise and the price. The wine selections are spectacularly marked up, even half bottles were over $40, and glasses went from $10 up. The tuna in the ahi tartar, while tasty and nicely mixed with avocado and savory, but it was tough and chewy; the crab and whiskey chowder tasted only of cream; and the crab cake appetizer was equally tasteless, overwhelmed by the accompanying veg salad (and too small a portion for $15). Ironically, given that the place mostly caters to the seafood and steak crowd, the best part of the meal was a vegetarian pasta with a fantastic pesto and the prawn risotto. Perhaps it was an off night?"

Thin flaky crust on pot pie. My son had the Crab Ice Cream and loved it. Service was good. Parking is validated. Nice location with view."

  • "We dinned at this restaurant during Dine around Seattle week. We order the 3 course meal and we were satisfied with our choices. The sweet potatoes mush and the souse was excellent, I wished I ordered it, but my risotto was also good. The service was great and we got the table with the view which enhanced our dinning experience. We will return to try the regular menu."
