Diner Reviews
  • "The food was OK, but very overpriced. Sides were extra. One crabcake for $17? Come on. Drinks were packed with so much ice we had to order a second shot to even taste the liquor."

  • "The service was excellent, view was great, food very good. Only disappointment was the Dungeness crab cakes. They list them as the worlds best, but being a fan of Baltimore crab cakes, they fell short. The salmon was a little too salty, but cooked to perfection. Had an heirloom tomatoe salad that was extremely refreshing. Service was awesome. Would easily go back, just wouldn't order the crab cakes."

  • "We have never been disappointed with the food, service, and view. It is one of Seattle's best."

  • "The food was amazing, the ambiance was outstanding, and the service was delightful. Diffidently a favorite, a first choice for special occasions."

  • "Menu is standard NW fare and wine list is solid though unimaginative. Ambience is excellent with lovely views of Lake Union and noise is low. Prices are high for the quality."

  • "this restaurant had the charm and sophistication we were looking for. the views were true Seattle waterfront, and the crab was outstanding!"

  • "The food was very good. My wife had fish and I had the steak, both excellent. The server was quick and very helpful. The cost was moderate. Will be back again."

  • "We had two birthdays for the parents and they wanted seafood. Chandlers was the perfect choice. The food was outstanding and the view spectacular. They couldn't have been happier. Thanks"

  • "The food was poor, nothing special , dungeness crab entree for $69 included a crab,a scoop of mashed potatoes and some bland steamed Chinese brocolli. I still was hungry. For the money we paid I would go somewhere else. The service could be better."
    Dined on 8/9/2014
  • "We ate out side on dinning side. This was the worst. Dirty table i.e. moss on under side, kids running around in dinning area yelling, food was bad, I had halibut with a cube of butter on it."
    Dined on 8/8/2014
  • "We certainly did that! The view, especially, on a wonderful, sunny, early Friday evening. The staff was incredibly friendly, and they were very happy with their food, especially the tastes of crab cocktail we were teased with (!), and of course, the whiskey crab soup."

  • "Enjoyed a delicious noon meal at Chandler's Crabhouse. Seating was immediate, service on time and the food was just right. This is a great place to experience the wonderful views of the lake as you dine."

  • "Had a group of 7 and everyone really liked the food. Tuna tartar was excellent. Seafood ceasar was a very generous portion. For a regular lunch the prices were on the high side but would be nice for a special occasion."

  • "food was amazing, staff was excellent and the view on a tuesday night with the sailboats was beautiful."

  • "Whenever I have out-of-town guests visiting, I bring them to Chandler's for the best of the Northwest: amazing seafood, incredible views, and wonderful service!"

  • "This is better than just a tourist spot - the food was very good and the scenery was fantastic! Beautiful view of sailboats, sea planes taking off and landing, paddle boarders... We had a halibut and crab cake combo dinner and split it between 2 of us which was perfect! The sourdough bread and Caesar salad were delicious too. The dessert we had was out of this world... White chocolate raspberry ice cream with chocolate chips... Wonderful meal with beautiful view!"

  • "Chandlers was very nice, and very packed. Outdoor seating was great, although they didn't have umbrellas for the larger tables so you'd better like sun and a breeze if your a party larger than 4. The service was very good with attentive wait staff. The view was spectacular, and I live in Seattle. Float planes dropping over your head and landing among the sailboats and paddle boarders. You must try the crab cakes...fantastic. getting to Chandlers is a bit of a zoo, but parking is good as they have their own lot and they stamp your parking ticket so its free. Not cheap, nor really expensive...a group of six adults had many appetizers, full entrees, drinks, a bottle of red for about $500."

  • "It has always been a good restaurant. On the night I was ther, our server seemed to have too large a station and service suffered"

  • "Watching the seaplanes and other activity on Lake Union on a nice day is wonderful. But the food here is unexceptional and mostly overpriced. So my recommendation is to go for the ambience and drinks, and order food judiciously."

  • "Chandler's has been a gem for many years, but unlike many long established venues, it seems to be at a peak in terms of food and service. I often dine here for lunch as it is by far the best quality restaurant in So Lake Union open at lunch. The seafood is absolutely the freshest and well thought out."

  • "Received gift cards for Christmas before moving to Seattle so we drove 40 minutes north from our new home in Federal Way. The claim they serve the "world's best crab cake" and we agree, 8oz of crab meat and no filler plus 3 sauces. Charcuterie was a shared starter of smoked and raw seafood plus salmon dip and crackers and very good. You don't need 2 of them. Seasonal salad was a mixture of different types of tomatoes. Excellent fresh sourdough rolls. Parking was $5 but they could add it to your bill so you did not have to pay outside."

  • "We had heard good things about chandlers and went there for brunch one rainy sunday morning. Approaching the building I was expecting the place to be dated, it looks a little from the outside. But once inside, I was pleasantly surprised by the light, open atrium space. Our waiter was disappointing. We had several issues throughout the meal - all relatively small things but they add up. For example, bringing the incorrect coffee, then when the replacement was brought it was cold. I ordered the crabcake with poached egg. It was pretty tasty except for the pieces of cartilage I kept finding and pulling out. It made it an unpleasant experience. The rest of the group enjoyed their food, but nothing to rave about. All in all, I won't go back."

  • "Recommended from a client who visited Seattle last year. What a find....the best view, the most outstanding crabcakes I ever ate, excellent and knowledgeable server (Kristin) and the 32 ducks marching in a row on the bay ! Cannot be beaten. Will be recommending this restaurant to all my clients visiting Seattle before or after their Alaskan cruises. And save room for dessert....pineapple sorbet was to die for !"

  • " Our family celebrated my son's MA graduation at Chandlers Crabhouse. Almost everyone ordered cracked Dungeness crab and we were thrilled. My mom had a steak which was very good too. Excellent service, knowledgable waitress ,cute and friendly. Superb in every way. The deserts were outstanding too. Not necessarily for foodies, but wonderful fresh and simple. We loved it and would go back any time!"

  • "We had an early supper before an event. The place was quiet and the service was outstanding. There was a mix up about the soup and the wait staff fixed it immediately. For my tastes, the crab soup has too much whiskey and sherry in it. They over power the taste. The clam chowder was amazing. Entrées were very good. I had the Ahi and mi esposa had the crab and shrimp louie. Portions were appropriate sized and the plating was beautiful. Our server was a true pro and well deserved the generous tip."

  • " The fish in the fish tacos were burnt and dry; the fish and chips were covered with batter, but the chips were fine; and the mac and cheese was too spicy with too many peppers for our taste. Refills on the iced tea were kept full and it was a beautiful day to sit outside for lunch."
    Dined on 7/15/2014
  • "I took my daughter and husband, big foodies, and they both said the food was totally outstanding. I had the Crab Louie....best crab I've had in a long time."

  • "We had brunch at Chandler's on a beautiful summer Sunday morning. We sat out on the deck and enjoyed bellinis and fabulous crab cake eggs benedict and brioche french toast. To sit and look out at all the boats on Lake Union was an amazing setting."
