  • Private Party Facilities: Innkeeper Karl Sabo has been personally booking parties here for more than 20 years. Host a party for you and your friends from 10-120. A recent wedding couple invited 88 guests to gather for service cocktails and passed hors d'oeuvres in the two living rooms and Tavern, followed by dinner at tables of 8 and 10 in the flower-filled Restaurant. The cake was gleaming white in the middle of the room where it could be admired, and after the bride and groom had cut the first slice and made their wish, the party went downstairs to the terrace for dancing, cake, and petits fours and coffee until last call from the brass counter at the bar. We have several different locations for your special party, depending on the number of guests and the style of the event. We hope you will call to inquire or complete the online event request form on our website at http://deerfieldinn.com/weddings/event_request.html

A word from Champney’s Restaurant & Tavern at the Deerfield Inn
Built in 1884, casual meets elegant at our restaurant & tavern: Inside - a large room of light and warmth, brass chandeliers and wall sconces, cheery period wallpaper, comfortable Queen Anne chairs, inviting tables separated into intimate areas by planters, low jazz and blues, a diverse wine list, single malts, local beers, and the best and largest martinis in town - 101 in all! Outside: four large window embrasures look onto magnolia trees sprinkled with tiny lights, a green sweep of lawn and an 1800's red clapboard building beyond. We are known for our classic Indian pudding and flourless chocolate torte (both requested by Gourmet), fresh fish, and tender meats such as filet mignon. Our comfort food soups are made from scratch, and diners look for our quality meats and the huge succulent sea scallops. As we always use the freshest, most local produce, market-driven menus change with the seasons. Food is the star here from the freshly baked bread to the locally roasted organic coffeeContinued
