Diner Reviews
  • "I made a very good dinner on 3 of their smaller plates. The fish soup was one of the best soups that I ever had here; thick and chunky, it was delicious. Also very good were the steamed clams with a very nice mix of summer vegetables. All in all, a very good dinner."

  • "We have been here several times and have never been disappointed with the quality and presentation of the food and the excellent service."
    Dined on 7/17/2014
  • "The food is very good as is the service. The atmosphere inside is lovely and calm. Outside is nice too except for the truck traffic on 206 which is very unfortunate. If you don't mind it, then outside is fine. The only issue with the food is that I had ordered a grilled eggplant appetizer that sounded wonderful but when it was served, it was cold and I just assumed it would be hot. I wasn't thrilled with it. Would have been great hot. Otherwise, everything else we ate was excellent!"

  • "The pork tenderloin was delicious, as was the chilled tomato and cucumber soup. All in all, a very good meal!"

  • "We had our anniversary date night and it was great. The food and the guitar player were great."

  • "We were lucky to be there on a quiet evening. The restaurant can be noisy. Food is imaginative and tasty; service friendly and attentive; prices are very moderate."

  • "So disappointed! The atmosphere was lovely, the staff friendly and the reviews seemed decent. However the food was very sub par. The salmon was looked like it came from the supermarket and the beef was very low grade. We will never return. "

  • "Quiet tuesday night dinner that included some very good food from their new Spring menu. it was the usual high quality food and service one may expect."

  • "I made a very nice dinner on three of their smaller courses. It was very good quality food from the soup to the half order of the pappardelle."

  • "We have been going to Chambers Walk restaurant for years. The experience is always tremendous; the food is excellent, the service attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere conducive to fine dining. This place is a local gem. I highly recommend it."

  • "We dined at Chambers Walk on Saturday evening and were pleasantly surprised to hear a jazz guitarist playing. He is an accomplished musician and his style was perfect for the cafe which was rather noisy otherwise. We had the tomato bisque and chicken vegetable soup which were flavorful, yet not outstanding. The stuffed flounder was not really stuffed and just placed over wild rice and broccoli. The dish was rather pedestrian. I've eaten here on a few occasions for lunch, and I believe that lunch is a better choice. Service was attentive, and I like the fact that we were offered our choice of tables."

  • "We had a perfectly prepared meal in a beautiful candlelight atmosphere with quiet lovely live guitar music. The waiter is the nicest one I have ever had the pleasure to meet. He offered me and my fellow diners a free sample of leek soup. I enjoyed stuffed flounder with wild and white rice pilaf. Simply delicious! My fellow diners ordered from the pub menu and thoroughly enjoyed their burgers. We capped it off with cranberry-apple crisp with vanilla gelato that was crunchy and tangy/sweet. I have been to this restaurant for lunch many times and the food has always been superb. This was my first dinner experience and I cannot recommend it highly enough. One more shout out to the head waiter who is fabulous."

  • "To begin with two entrances are just confusing. Close one or have two hostess stations. Camein through front and felt I was left I no mans land. I had the crab bisque my wife the lobster risotto. These both came out way too quickly. Both had obviously been prepared ahead of time which is a huge no-no for risotto. The bisque was less bisque and more soup. Both lacked seasoning or finish. We both had the surf and turf. The filets were both tough and weren't seasoned. The scallops were cooked perfectly. Unfortunately the bed of carrots were raw and drenched in an overly sweet balsamic vinegar. I sent the carrots back only to be given more raw carrots. We didn't stay for dessert. The check came to $121.00 with tip. What a waste..."

  • "We eat at Chamberswalk a lot and we're always glad we did. It's a great neighborhood place with a sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere. The wait staff is superb - just the right amount of friendly and always knowledgeable and ready to accommodate any special requests. The food is consistently delicious - prepared with an innovative, elegant simplicity that let's the essential flavors come together in a harmonious but still distinct fashion. We love Chamberswalk. It's by far our favorite Lawrenceville Main Street restaurant!"

  • "Hostess and chef greeted me upon arrival - could't have been nicer. Menu was varied and interesting. Had caesar, fried green tomatoes and skate. Caesar was excellent. Tomatoes were superb. Skate was really good, though very slightly overcooked. Jazz guitaris added ambience and I would happily go back when visiting Lawrenceville - great spot!"

  • "My first visit and certainly will not be my last. The staff was very attentive and the food was superb. Thanks to the chef for sending us a taste of their soup (at no cost to us). A must visit and I will most certainly be back."

  • "Arrived 1/2 hour early for reservation and was immediately seated at a choice window table...nice. Our server was pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable about the menu. Very good chicken noodle soup as a starter...nice. i'm very fussy about crab cakes so I was hesitant to order them at a restaurant where I did not have dining experience. Not to worry, the crab cakes were chocked full of crab meat and pan seared to perfection...very nice. My dining partner ordered salmon and was delighted with her choice....nice. Background music from a guest guitarist was delightful but became difficult to hear when noise level increased. BYOB adds to the overall attraction of this restaurant.....nice. We'll be back and, perhaps, sit outside to converse."

It is always a pleasurable experience - the food and service are wonderful - the menu gets better and more interesting every time I go. It truly is a neighborhood gem!"

  • "I thought the restaurant was very charming. The live music was amazing! The food was very good ...very tasty and something new. I just wish the portions were slightly larger. And instead of giving "a piece of bread" maybe leave a basket. (just my two cents)"

  • "This was our first dinner at the restaurant. The food was excellent, and the service attentive. A jazz guitarist was playing--very nice touch. The room, however, magnifies voices, and one loud table that night created a din in the whole restaurant. In any case, we'll be back again."

  • "As a frequent diner at this cafe, I have always experienced the most attentive service and the highest quality food. I love nothing better than to bring a bottle of wine and have a leisurely dinner. In the heat of summer, I opt for the lunches here with a pint or two of ale. Lunch seems to be restricted to mostly salads and sandwiches, but I often had the lunch specia past or pair a couple of items."

  • "A great place to get a great meal. It is BYOB and there are no neighbourhood liquor stores (maybe a 10 minute round-trip), so be prepared."
