The steak I had and fish my wife had were awesome.
The only think that was slightly less than stellar this time was the service. Our server seemed to forget about us at times even though her other tables were adjacent to ours. This, plus the fact that the chef and owner came out to speak to the tables around us made us feel slightly less welcome. Perhaps they could tell we weren't "regulars". Nevertheless, we WILL be back. We were seated in the wine room which was noticeable quieter than the rest of the restaurant. The only thing holding back five stars on the food was the shrimp cocktail was overcooked. My macadamia nut encrusted scottish salmon was absolutely wonderful and most of us cleaned our plates after appetizers and desserts. Service was excellent throughout. A great steakhouse should have great bread, great salads, great sides, and great steaks. Chamberlain's has all that, every time, coupled with outstanding service. Ricky, a top-notch server, has been working there for 11 years, and is a consummate professional. Richard Chamberlain often comes through the dining room during dinner, greeting guests, and is always pleaseant and informative.
In a city with many really good steakhouse choices, Chamberlain's is my go-to place, whether for a business dinner-meeting, a family get-together, entertatining out-of-town guests, or for a quiet dinner with my wife. The steaks are wonderful, the fish is fresh and prepared perfectly, and the wine selection is exquisite. The service might be the best part of the evening. The staff is attentive without being annoying. Ashlee, Taylor, and John are particularly great....just ask for them! If I could only remember our waiters name, because he made the experience. He owned it! From the wine list to making recommedations about food, and also his attention to our table and needs was outstanding. The steak and seafood were great. The ahi tuna app was delicious and the lobster bisque was excellent. The entrees were amazing. I had the ribeye special with two bacon wrapped shrimp that came with a butter sauce on top. Was cooked perfectly. The scallops and sole were also amazing. The wine was great. Justin suggested we start with the pot-stickers and they were a fabulous surprise, we ended the night with a delicious chocolate dessert. All in all a perfect evening! Our waitress was wonderful and took care to explain everything on the menu and was always right there if we needed anything. My only issue with the visit was the food seemed a bit average for a place with their prices. I ordered a mozzarella and tomato salad. No where on the menu did it say it came with onions (nor have i ever had it come with onions at any other restaurant) so it was disappointing to have to pick those out. The food at Chamberlain's is always dependable and consistent, and of late "cutting edge". The food chemistry is outstanding with sauces blending; savory, slightly sweet, spice with some heat, and just slightly understated to tickle your taste buds. The Chef Chamberlain "specials" are a must try, and always excel to please.
The Lamb Chops here are one of the Best in Dallas, period. Quality of Product is evident in all of their offerings.

Our small family of three was seated in an alcove which made for a quiet time to reflect and enjoy conversation. Our server, Lance Osborne was exceptional. I'm picky about steaks as I don't eat red meat that often. Lance was understanding and made recommendations as to what cut and how to have it grilled.My steak was the most flavorful and tender than I've tasted in a long time. My wife got the sole with crabmeat. Great flavor and just a touch overdone/mushy.The crabmeat was the highlight. Great attentive service throughout. Went into the cigar lounge after and it was just right, a clubby atmosphere and very attentive service. Liked the piano player as well. We started out with the appetizer combination and everything was awesome.....especially the Kobe Beef Pot Stickers and the HUGE Gulf Shrimp Cocktail. My wife had the Prime Rib and said it was the best she had ever had and she always orders it if a restaurant has it available. I had the New Your Strip and it was the best steak I have ever had. The wine steward recommended a great Cabernet Sauvignon that paired perfectly with both our entrees.
We finished our evening listening to great Jazz in the really cool lounge in the back of the restaurant. Mike was our server; however, we have been there before and ALL servers have always been professional and friendly. The food is amazing. No matter what you order on the menu, the food is sure to please. We both had the stuffed filet with spinach and swiss cheese with scallops. Neither one of us like spinach but it was amazing. Great flavor, tender meat, and phenomenal sauce. The lounge was great as well. It had live entertainment that was amazing and the performer came to speak to us.
