Our table was ready when we arrived. The host was personable and saw us to our table without delay. Our server, Jorge, was very patient and attentive. The support staff kept glasses filled and dishes cleared discreetly so our mood and conversation remained unbroken. The food was attractive and tasty. Each occasion has been as good or better than the last, which is to say it has always been GREAT. We arrived before they were scheduled to open (our reservation was at 5:00 PM). The staff sat our party and took our drink orders and things went off without a hitch. The wait staff and the entire facility was excellent. The table had salmon, rainbow trout and crab cakes with crab stuff shrimp. All dishes, including the side dishes of asparagua and garlic spinach were impeccabily prepared and delicious. The ambiance was really nice and the server was very attentive. We asked the waitress for wine suggestions and she gave us several options to choose from. She even made sure that we were satisfied with the choice before leaving. We had the fish market calamari appetizer and it was delicious. It had just the right amount of crunch and wasn't rubbery. I had the jumbo lump crab cake and baked crabmeat stuffed shrimp with the shrimp and crab fried rice. The crab cake was cooked just right with a nice crust on the top and it had a generous amount of crab in it. Hubby had the 8 oz filet mignion with lobster-shrimp mac & cheese. Everything from the food, ambience, and service is executed with a high degree of professionalism and commitment. This place has some of the freshest seafood found in the metroplex. The menu items and specials are presented with great culinary direction and style. Service is always poised and polished and never intrusive. Everytime I dine at CFMG, I am amazed at the level and overall experience this restaurant continues to deliver. From the valet attendant to the server....the service was some of the best I have ever encountered. The food was four star. I started with Clam and Crab Chowder and is was stellar. My wife had the Shrimp Cocktail and they were the biggest shrimp we had ever seen. I had the Halibut Special and it was super fresh and tasty. My wife had the Sole and loved every bite. We finished out the evening with the Peanut Butter Pie....unbelievable! We also enjoyed a bottle of wine off their deal sheet that that was quite a value for a beautiful Pinot Noir. We enjoyed some oysters and then I had perfectly prepared Ribeye, which is unusual to have at a seafood restaurant! Service was on cue but not intrusive. We sat in a nice booth behind the bar and had a great bottle of wine from their "Deal Sheet". Great bottle and even better price. The salads were delicious and properly dressed. It is a good place for special occasions. Special of the night was wonderful (cobia). 2 of us had the stuffed shrimp--while good, it needed more stuffing. Lobster bisque is the best. Crab cake appetizer is great. Service was good but it started slow (10 minutes before waiter actually spent time with us other than saying "I'll be right with you") and ended slow (took a while to get the check). A great experience all around! We were greated by the friendly host and exchanged pleasant conversation as we were seated in a nice booth with great atmosphere. The waiter was just as pleasant and helpful answering our menu questions. The food was so good! Everyone went out of their way to make it a pleasant evening and we will be back! Coincidentally there were 2 other couples seated near us who were also celebrating their anniversary.
