Chachama GrillVery good New American food.Very good New American food. Service is always outstanding6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMone of the best restaurantsone of the best restaurants on Long Island with friendly staff and great food.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMsmashingenjoyed as always, this time noise level was higher which did interfere with the enjoyment somewhat. However, food, service was excellent as usual.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMService could have been better. The food was very good. The menu was quite expensive. The service was not up to par. we had to go out of our way to get our servers attention several times. We spent over $400 and did not feel that we were welcome. My children were with us but did not move from their seats or make any noise. they felt very uncomfortabke as well. The hostess was the only one that made us feel comfortable and welcome. She is a gem to the restaurant.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMChachama GrillI love this place. The food is excellent, and with the prix-fixe menu that is available Sunday-Thursday, the food is affordable too. I went there with my husband recently for our anniversary and he got the lobster bisque, a 2 lb lobster with corn on the cob and a baked potato, and sorbet trio for dessert. I had the oysters rubio (my favorite appetizer on their menu), dry sea scallops with mushroom and spinach risotto, and creme brulee for dessert. Everything was delicious. We will definitely be going back again.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the best LI restaurantsThe ambiance is so pleasant and sophisticated, you'd never know you were in a shopping mall in East Patchogue. The best dining music of any restaurant, and at the appropriate low decibel level. Delicious rolls. All mains have different and appropriate vegetable accompaniments. Velvety sea scallops had crisp green beans and a melange of mushrooms and spaghetti squash. Large portion of duck was cooked just as requested. $38 prix fixe is a real bargain -- it even includes coffee or tea.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGREAT FIND.DUCK, SCALLOPS, RACK OF LAMB & ROLLS WERE VERY GOOD. Service was good, but we had to ask for plates when we shared appetizers. Portions were larger than average. Wine prices were reasonable.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMCEEBRATED MY WIFE'S RETIREMENTCEEBRATED MY WIFE'S RETIREMENT TOTAL OF 5 ADULTS--FROM THE VERY BEGINNING TO END THE SERVICE-ATMOSPHERE-MENU-QUALITY OF FOOD.. This place is fabulous. Extended restaurant week menu was tempting, but offers on regular a la carte menu couldn't be passed up. Standouts include ceviche, rack of lamb, appetizers were excellent. Don't miss the leek blue cheese ravioli. Real value in wine list with wide selection, quality emphasized over quantity. Intelligent and perceptive service was not intrusive but on top of things throughout entire meal. Deserts were special, delicious and varied. Definitely will be back.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMVery enjoyable!Food, service and ambience pleasantly surprising for such an unassuming location. Worth the trip from the Hamptons!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMAs opposed to many other restaurantAs opposed to many other restaurants in the area, Chachama grill's emphasis is on Quality, rather than quantity. This does not mean to say that the quantity is lacking, rather that it just seems ideal, while the quality of the food is always excellent. Not sure how many times we have eaten here, but we have never had any complaint, nor have we been dissatisfied with any aspect of the meals or service.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were welcomed back andWe were welcomed back and received wonderful service. Can't imagine that more people haven't made this their go-to lunch stop. Food is great and for half the price you get a meal rivaling many dinner choices at other restaurants.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved the Oysters Rubio.Loved the Oysters Rubio. Rack of Lamb was cooked perfectly. Don't be put off by the strip mall location. Fine dining.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThis restaurant has been oneThis restaurant has been one of our favorites for a number of years! Although unassuming on the outside (as it's situated in a shopping plaza), once inside you are transported to a softly-lit, tastefully-decorated room where both the small, but more than adequate, bar and the intimate dining area are located. You are warmly greeted by a gracious hostess who treats you like a member of her family and goes out of her way to ensure that you are having the best possible dining experience. The wait staff is attentive, engaging, and knowledgeable. The food is consistently delicious and innovative; the meals are always beautifully prepared and presented. We look forward to our next visit!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat seasonal food with excellentGreat seasonal food with excellent service. Kudos to Chef Elmer Rubio.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was our first time at ChachamaIt was our first time at Chachama Grill, and we loved it! The restaurant is certainly a neighborhood gem, hidden in a mundane plaza in East Patchogue. Form the moment we walked in the door, we felt special. We arrived early in order to have a drink at the bar. The bar was not crazy-busy and we were able to enjoy a drink before dinner. Once seated, we realized how small and intimate the place really is. It was a welcome change from the noisy, crowded restaurants we usually go to with hundreds of people around us. The food was excellent. The portions are just right and the presentation was superb. The Oysters Rubio (named after the chef) are to die for! It's a bit pricey but the fact that it's tough to get a reservation speaks for itself.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFood and wine was great. NiceFood and wine was great. Nice soft music in the background. Great place for a couple or small group of adults. Not a place for your kids.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food and presentationExcellent food and presentation - this Chef is phenomenal.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't miss this one!One of South Shores best kept secrets. I would have never found the place, or gone in for that matter, except for the recommendation of some foodie friends whom I totally respect. It is located in a not-so -new shopping center so you might overlook it. DON'T!! It's one of the best restaurants around. The food and service are excellent and the prices are more than fair. We can't wait to go back.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AM
