Chablis Food + WineLovely Mother's Day DinnerWe enjoyed a lovely nite out at "Chablis" in Tarzana. The seabass was absolutely fantastic. And, as always the service was wonderful.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThis restaurant has greatThis restaurant has great ambience. They have small plates and regular dinner and the food pairings are really interesting and delicious. The entertainment is low volume and in keeping with the ambience and food. I have eaten here several times and each time the food was excellent.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMTuna StackedLove the live music on Thurs. and Friday and small the plates menu continues to delight. I am not a fan of rare tuna but the combination of Tuna, Avocado and crisps is a true delight.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is our "go to" restaurantThis is our "go to" restaurant when other people or other occasions require that we go elsewhere. The prices are very reasonable and the food is consistently good.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMChablis is a great neighborhoodChablis is a great neighborhood restaurant for a delicious meal in a relaxed, cozy setting. We had a Saturday evening dinner with friends and the experience was excellent for all four of us. A group of us women hosted a daytime wedding shower for 40 at Chablis and once again the food and the service were outstanding.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is my second time visitingThis is my second time visiting this restaurant--within 5 days! The short-rib panini is irresistible!!!!!!!!

My friend and I shared a Caesar Salad w/shaved cheese--yummy--and THE MOST AMAZING SHORT RIB SANDWICH!!!!!--with roasted red pepper, sauteed mushrooms, carmelized onion and melted cheese--mouth-watering good! Less than one week after my first experience, I'm going back with another friend. I can't stop talking (or thinking) about this wonderful restaurant!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe waiter was very friendlyThe waiter was very friendly and accomodating. The food was delicious, especially the Asian salad, sandwiches, and the scrumptious desserts. The whole experience was very pleasant.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat neighborhood gemGreat hidden gem. I've driven by the place many times and was always curious, so I decided to try it. What a treat! The place is small but quaint. They have a musician who performs while you're eating so you get a dinner and a show. The food was really good. I ordered the filet mignon, and my friend ordered the mussels. The wine list was small but they had a good selection. We both ordered an Australian Malbec and it was wonderful. The atmosphere feels like a friendly neighborhood spot. It was obvious very quickly that many patrons that evening were regulars. I will definately be back and will consider this place a go to in the Tarzana area.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAll was great, except a bitAll was great, except a bit noisy with the music and the drinks were average. This is a great place overall.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat MemoryThe place was packed with happy customers. The food was, as usual, excellent. The $5 corkage is exceptional. The wonderful music of Lenny and Ray is just the right touch. We couldn't help ourselves. We got up and started dancing the night away. My wife said the next day what a wonderful evening that was. Ah, romance is in the air.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat overall dining experienceWe were greeted and seated promptly on St. Patrick's Day evening. Our waitress, Priscilla, was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent (we had the Tornados of Filet Mignon and the Lamb Loin. The wine service was perfect (uncorked, decanted, poured and glasses refilled when nearly empty). The $5 corkage fee was very reasonable. We had a romantic evening (dined over 2 hours and weren't the least bit rushed by the attentive staff). I look forward to going back.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely restaurant. I haveLovely restaurant. I have always had great food here. There is a beautiful private room that can be reserved for parties.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWe opted to try this restaurantWe opted to try this restaurant based on its reviews. It did not disappoint. We knew to expect a longer than usual wait to receive each course, which was fine. It feels more European in this regard. Dinner is your evening's event, and it allows you to enjoy good food and friends without staff anxiously waiting to turn your table. It also means there are no microwaves in the kitchen and each meal is prepared fresh when ordered. Two had the filet, and I had the rib eye. Each was perfection and very tender. The vegetables were tasty too. If there was one complaint, two of us felt the chef was a bit too heavy handed with the black pepper in the sauce. Service - outstanding. The singer was great, and we enjoyed him while dining on the patio.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMA GemThis restaurant never fails to impress. Gourmet food at reasonable prices. Very knowledgeable wine recommendations. Lovely atmosphere.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMNice local surpriseI had heard about this restaurant for a while and decided to try it. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, had an interesting menu with several appealing entree choices. We decided to split a salad, two entrees and then were easily enticed into dessert too. Everything was very good and a good value as well. Corkage for the bottle was only 5 bucks. Service was close to excellent; on a Saturday night we were not rushed at all. They had a nice musical duo which added to the experience with soft music.
I would definitely recommend this place for very good, reasonably priced food with a little more creativity than you might expect from a little neighborhood restaurant.1/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
