Ceres is the ancient Roman goddess of the harvest. Ceres' Table is Chef Giuseppe Scurato and his wife, Carolyn's restaurant, serving contemporary American food, with an Italian -- and in particular, Sicilian -- influence.

Ceres is symbolic of a bountiful harvest. Giuseppe uses local,… seasonal and sustainable products whenever possible in his interpretation of traditional recipes. We are a family owned restaurant located in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago, dedicated to serving good food in an understated and relaxed atmosphere. Continued

"As always, Cere's Table was excellent in every aspect. The food was innovative, beautifully presented, and a real treat for the tastebuds. Service was super and server attentive and knowledgeable. I live in the building where Cere's Table is located and I always feel welcomed and well provided for. Cere's Table is highly recommended."

"Giuseppe has another new menu unveiled, and the food remains as inventive, beautiful, and good tasting as ever or even better than that! fairly priced exquisite wines (who knew about an Italian carmenere that is so tasty?) and one of the better small dessert menus in the city!"

"Mom was visiting so I looked for a place within walking distance from home so we could have a couple drinks. Arrived just after they opened for the evening and was greeted and sat immediately. Ordered a couple cocktails and enjoyed a wonderful meal. Would highly recommend."

"We had a fun dinner here. We had a group of 6 and it was pretty clear they were not set up for groups above 4. The food was quite good for the price point. Our server was right on it and quite knowledgable."

"I very much wanted to love this place, but simply put: the food was not impressive. At $100+ for dinner for 2, this is subpar. The highlight was the risotto balls, which were fun and different but not life-changing. The beef cheek was unevenly cooked and the sauce reminded me of school cafeteria Salisbury steak. The pasta was chewy, and the meat sauce was bland. The cheese in the pasta was good and mild, and of course cheese always wins the day. I fully support neighborhood spots and see how this meets a need in Uptown. The staff seemed like a good group and were welcoming. Hopefully, it will continue to improve - and maybe the Spring menu will have some gems. With so many options in the city though, we will scratch this one off the list."

"What a wonderful experience! I have been top Ceres before and I thought it would be a perfect venue for my sister's bridal dinner. There were six of us and we were taken care of by a lovely young lady, Amy Lewis. The food was outstanding and the ladies (who all live in the near west suburbs) raved about how amazing everything was. Amy selected the wine. We had a bottle of Proseco and 2 different reds, all were delicious. The owners were present the entire night and were both helpful to their staff and inviting to the guests. I would recommend Ceres Table for any occasion!"

"Very enjoyable meal. Great service. Menu selections make your mouth water as you read them. The dialogue from the hostess, bartender and all wait staff was relaxed and friendly. Our waitress gave us a great wine selection that worked for both of our meals. The restaurant was full the entire time we were there. There is a loud din in this restaurant and we knew this from previous times we were there so it was expected. I think there menu selections are great."

"I liked it a year ago, but not this time. This time the lighting was institutional,and the service was rude, except for the busboy. My fish was a one by four inch strip for $24."
