My fiancé and I took both our parents their for Mother's Day, my parents are from Europe and hers are Asian, the menu is complex but the waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful with not only the food but also the wine. The cheese and meat platter with truffle honey was amazing, and my veal chop was cooked perfect! The menu is pricey, but I would absolutely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a place to go for special occasions, the outdoor patio is beautiful and the live band makes for a great after dinner drink atmosphere.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMwhat a surpriseMy husband worked in Worcester many years ago and still has a soft spot for the city; were we surprised by the change and growth of the area where Ceres is located! Amazing. We did not expect to find such a cool, urban type restaurant in the midst of hospitals and healthcare centers; it's a little oasis. The food is delicious and well served. Finding real grass fed beef is very rare, as what's served under that headline is for the most part beef that has been raised in regions that are covered by snow and need hay to make up for the absence of real grass. Our guests appreciated having the choice of different types of beef and being able to compare. This time we brought a friend who was here from out of town... she loved it which made us feel so good.

The service was perfect. Even having the owner of the hotel stoping by our table, as he did many others , just to say hello was an added treat for my guest.
The food was perfect. One of my guest commented that we always thought we had to go to Boston to have a 5 star evening... not anymore.

The food was very fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. A few negatives, the lunch menu is a bit short on selection and surprisingly the lunch salads offered are priced like a meal but are sized like a side salad. In addition, this is the only place we have found in the area that charges full price for refills of iced tea so in the future we will be sure to drink to the bottom before letting the server take the glass to refill.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMNever fails...Cere's is one of the best places in Worcester. I was surprised that the restaurant was as busy as it was - and a bit noisy, in a good way (I have been at the restaurant at lunchtime when it was busy and it was very quiet). At any rate, we all selected different appetizers and entrees and noone was disappointed. When asked what were her favorite desserts, our waitress suggested the chocolate pate and a warm toffee pudding. We ordered one of each to share - and swooned! we could not choose one over the other.
The staff were all pleasant and attentive. Our charcutie appetizer was delicious with a nice selection of cheeses and meats. All of us were satisfied with our salads which they were kind enough to split for us and our entrees all got thumbs up. The bread basket came warm and the crust had that hard to find nice crunch to it! The outstanding element to our dining experience was our waitress Christine. She had a warmth about her, you could tell she wanted to make our experience pleasureable and she was personable with a lovely smile.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother wonderful evening at CeresWe have eaten a Ceres several times before and always enjoyed it. Saturday night was equally wonderful. WE had a party of five. The service was excellent, the food was wonderful, we had a really nice booth that sat us all comfortably. Two of us have dietary restrictions which the chef kindly accommodated.
About a month ago we celebrated my father-in-law's 90th birthday at Ceres. We had family from my FIL down to a 3 year old with us, and every member of the group enjoyed it.

We dined at 5:00 Sunday night and we were one of only a handful of tables in the restaurant. The front of house, bar and waitstaff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Menu is inventive and well executed. Love the atmosphere as it feels intimate even when crowded. Typically the noise level is low to moderate but it can be a bit loud if there is a function in the rear dining area. Obviously depends on the group.
