In the heart of Condado a new cuisine experience opens with a concept that brings delight to the senses, with flavors , aromas and unforgettable tastes in an avant-garde environment. Central Steakhouse gives a different twist to what is traditionally expected from a steakhouse. In addition to a cozy space decorated with the latest trends in colors, lighting and designs, has the experience of international Executive Chef George Thomas, who uses different gastronomic formulas that increases the flavors and textures of each dish. "I wanted to create a concept so attractive that would offer our guests a unique food experience, differentiating us from what is offered in other restaurants in this beautiful Caribbean Island, with artistic dishes that play with the flavors and colors looking for that point where everything becomes tasty and fun".

  • "Cheese fondue mixed very poorly - you could see the wine floating around on top. It only comes with bread - nothing else for dipping. Chocolate fondue was cold. Not warm, not "sort of hot" - *cold*. We barely put a dent in both. It took 15 minutes after we were ready for the bill to get the bill and then our waiter disappeared with my credit card for almost ten more minutes before returning. A few simple tweaks and it could be decent - left the restaurant annoyed. Very expensive. For the price it needs to be better than this."

  • "My dinner was so good that all of the other excellent features of this restaurant are worth mentioning but just barely - our delightful server Daniel, the attentive Manager, Carlos, the distinguished owner, Mario - ensured the best experience. But - my steak! My salad! Oh wait, the steak! And the wine! Needless to say, the preparation was exquisite, the food piping hot and exactly as ordered. Everything about this restaurant is top notch, but even so, it pales in comparison to the sheer quality of the food. If you're a foody, this is the place for you. PS - a really convenient stroll from the Marriottt Stellaris makes this find on Calle Magdelena even nicer."

  • "We ate in this restaurant on February 28, 2014. Our group was going on a cruise the following day and we were just in town for the day. This is not your usual steak and potatoes place. The food was delicious and was a bit unusual. The food was great and the drinks even better. Service was excellent. We had a group of 7 people."

  • "Central is not bad, but much better steakhouse options are available in San Juan. I would choose Central only if I were staying in one of the nearby Condado hotels, and wanted the convenience of walking to the restaurant instead of taking a taxi to one of the other better steakhouses, such as the ones at the Caribe Hilton, Intercontinental and Ritz Carlton hotels."

  • "Este lugar es muy caro para el servicio y variedad que ofrecen, los meseros no sabían exactamente que había disponible, no tienen menú para niños, solamente un acompañante disponible para todos los platos, solamente tenían papas majadas !!! No es un lugar para considerar…"

  • "What a surprise. The atmosphere, decor, and attentive & friendly staff was only outdone by the steaks. I was worried the "chef creation" topping and sides would drown the steak, but I was wrong; it was the perfect combination. A great steak with just a hint of Puerto Rico. We will definitely return. Our best dinner while here for a week."

  • "Carlos was our host on both trips to Central Steak, he was gracious and attentive on each trip. Both times we had dinner there we ordered the 16 oz Rib eye cooked by chef George Thomas. Melt in your mouth delicious. The mashed potatoes & asparagus were cooked& seasoned to perfection. Even the wedge salad had a special flair! Our waiter Michael was attentive and prompt.The second time we went our waiter was Marcio, service was just as fabulous!Christian was our bartender, we had The Hand crafted &Fresh cooler, both were amazing and fresh tasting! 2ndtrip we did not order cocktails, but were treated to a sample of a fresh new peach drink, Loved it!!All of the staff went over and above our high expectations. This is a must go to steak house!"

  • "We only has two appetizers the pork belly and the carpaccio both were poorly executed. The pork belly was too fatty with little meat and poorly cooked, the carpaccio was bland with little condiments and tasted like old meat. Due to this experience we decided to skip the entree. Service on the other hand was excellent although a little bit unpolished."
