A word from Central Las Vegas
Central Michel Richard in Las Vegas has a prime location, adjacent to the lobby in Caesars Palace, making it an ideal meeting place for leisure travelers, conference attendees, just about everyone! With its double-sided full bar, specialty cocktail menu and outdoor patio terrace, it’s no wonder why Vegas insiders have dubbed the 9,600 square-foot contemporary restaurant an innovation of the warm and familiar. Savory favorites from Michel Richard’s existing repertoire include charcuterie and cheese selections, including his “faux” gras terrine, sandwiches including the popular tuna and beef burgers, appetizers such as the tartare of filet mignon and the flavorful goat cheese Caesar salad. Main courses include Richard’s famous fried chicken and mashed potatoes, 72-hour short ribs with Syrah sauce, and rotisserie chicken accompanied by roasted potatoes. Central’s dessert menu is highlighted by delectable items such Michel’s cheesecake with raspberry sauce and signature chocolate bar.

Went here 4 times staying at Caesars. They should be ashamed.1. Famous fried chicken comes out after 40 minute wait...slammed onto table and pushed in front of me pushing silverware way across table....ice cold.....could not find server...Manager at least got a hot over cooked dried out dish....she comp'd this non meal!2. My wife's scrambled eggs after 35 minute wait came to table with long black hair across it. Just took back... No apology! Wife did not eat. My omelet cold. 3 breakfast. My French toast warm after25 minute wait otherwise ok 4. Lunch today: lunch arrived after 30 minutes. What a joke! Wife order Chinese Chicken Salad: arrived with absolutely not one piece of chicken it. Out came a thin burnt burger

Typical diner type food. Small menu, food adaquate, service OK, nothing really to talk about. Just quick, filling and you get what you expect. A bit pricey.

When we arrived for our 6:15 reservation, the maître d' looked at me quizzically and asked "do you need to do want to be seated early"? It was 6:12. They tried to seat us at a table next to the entrance in the half full restaurant. When the waiter finally arrived, he informed us they "had run out of Chardonnay" for wines by the glass (a fully stocked glass wine cellar loomed in the background). I figured "yet another Vegas mock-up of a classic restaurant with a screw the customer attitude," a common phenomenon in my Vegas dining experience. Service was good, the fish entrées were excellent, but the staff of the restaurant--which was preparing to shut down for major remodel--was definitely phoning it in, at least on that night.

Went here for the fried chicken (signature dish). Food was good, atmosphere was not. A loud crowd made it difficult to hold a conversation, and our waiter was very disinterested in serving us. It seemed like he would rather be anywhere else but there.

I love Central in DC. I always come back to the fried chicken which is great. I tried Central LV this weekend with friends who have never been to Central DC. I, of course, had the fried chicken. I asked the server if it was prepared the same way as in DC and he said they had a slight twist (they flatten the chicken breast and no leg but otherwise the same). I specifically asked if they do the chicken mousse and panko bread crumbs and he said yes. Unfortunately, it didn't even come close to the DC version; the salad was not as good & the mashed potatoes were lukewarm. I will not go back there but I remain committed to Central DC. Also, no Napoleon on the dessert menu hence the recommended name change.

Food is excellent. Servers are flexible and always willing to please. Seems the staff that assigns tables when you are seated are confused as you may be sitting a little longer waiting to be greeted by your server but the server did not know they were assigned that table until my wife's not so happy looks were translated into ' so where is everybody? '

Central Las Vegas is cheaper than many places you'll find in Vegas, but the food was excellent. We sat down at 6:45 and the place was fairly empty but was starting to pick up (dim lights, band starting, etc.) as we were almost finished, so I'm guessing we just beat the dinner rush. The steaks were pretty expensive but the seafood plates, we ordered the Tuna and Salmon, were fairly priced and cooked perfectly. The crab cake appetizer was awesome, no breading, all meat.

Clearly, my presence at this restaurant annoyed the hostess and my service from the rest of the team wasn't much better. Being a single diner, the hostess almost insisted I sit at the bar although the restaurant was practically empty and I was eating lunch later than the normal Noon-2pm lunch hours. When I told her I would prefer a table near the natural light of the window, she groused about that section of the restaurant being closed. Then begrudgingly sat me at a four-top close to the closed section. To top that off, I found the food very average. Central by Michel Richard had a great reputation in DC. Clearly, this is just a Michel Richard restaurant in name only.

"Central" is a mess - they have almost no business some nights and have changed the menu and changed dishes to try and "search and fix what customers want".... What they want Central does not provide because they ahve slipped too far to recover. Ceasars would do well to just use the space for a new concept.

Central location off the hotel main lobby is a great spot to meet friends or business customers. Food and service was very good and prices are reasonable for a good meal.

Central used to be one of my "go to" strip restaurant's. However, recent changes (no longer outdoor seating - which had an amazing view) and a reduced menu which no longer offers it's combo specials (appetizers, entree, and desert) now makes this just an ordinary restaurant.

We were looking for a nice restaurant away from the Las Vegas strip. This is certainly one to recommend. Particularly unique is the wine shop that is a part of the restaurant. You can pick out your own bottle. This is a particularly value that the wine connoisseur should note since the wine is retail priced and not burdened with the usual restaurant markup.

The food was overpriced but the restaurant is in a Las Vegas hotel so that probably goes without saying. But the chef who is associated with the restaurant is Michel Richard. I remember a fantastic meal at Citrus on Melrose. This one doesn't come close. Our first disappointment came when one of our party asked about the schnitzel listed on the pdf menu online. Apparently, no longer. We both ordered the signature fried chicken. Meh. One could probably share this dish since it was 2 boneless chicken breasts on a garlic mashed potatoes. Chicken was moist but if you're looking for fried chicken, you're better off looking for a Popeye's. Or maybe even a Church's or KFC. Other dishes by our group, loop de mer and short ribs were just OK
