Our menus consist of the Chef’s original creations inspired by authentic Italian and French preparation using the freshest seasonal ingredients available. Our kitchen boasts a wood burning grill used to prepare several of our items and specials. We also have a wood burning pizza oven and make our own fresh pastas daily. After dinner enjoy one of our house made desserts accompanied by an espresso, a cappuccino, a fine port, traditional grappa or a dessert wine or cocktail.   • "We enjoyed our food at Central Bistro, but I thought the service was just okay. It seemed that the people sitting next to us knew the manager and staff. They seemed to dote over them and give us less than half as much service. At some point, I had reached my limit. It was our anniversary, and I normally would have ordered dessert. But the service had declined enough by that point, we just asked for the check and went across the parking lot for gelato."

Took a large group here one night when we had family in town, and the wait staff was exceptional! We really appreciate the hospitality and the service these guys roll out! My wife and I met another couple for dinner and drinks, the staff is friendly, the food is fantastic, and the wine is so yummy and not over grossed up in price.   • "Central Bistro is our "go to" neighborhood restaurant for date night and for taking the whole family. Happy hour is wonderful. The food is consistently impressive. Last night we had the Key Lime pie for dessert that was out of this world. I was not a big fan of key lime pie before, but am a devoted fan of this one with the most remarkable meringue topping. Steak Frites was terrific, the truffle mushroom pasta is amazing - my husband added chicken for only $5.00, and got a whole boneless breast of tender grilled chicken. We have so many favorites here. New to the area for just over a year, we are so pleased to have found this gem just a couple miles from home. It is fast becoming a family tradition."

  • "The service was outstanding. Our server was attentive and 2 others came over to make sure all was OK. Two people had steak frites and it was cooked perfectly as requested. The crab tower appetizer was wonderful and even the caesar salad was perfect. The only negative for us was the noise level. Even though we definitely had to raise our voices to be heard, we would definitely return."

  • "We are always on the lookout for a comfortable and fun place for lunch. We ordered cocktails since we were celebrating a birthday. The limoncello sour was a hit. We shared the kale salad which had Granny Smith apples and walnuts and a dressing that brought everything together. The shared pizza was also a hit. It had a nice bubbly crust. To our delight, we were surprised with a panna cotta to celebrate our first time in. It is not often that a restaurant can get it all right but I have to admit ...it was a perfect lunch!"

  • "It was my husband's birthday and he loves seafood. We split the octopus small plate but, the wood-fired flavor did not come through. He ordered the Cioppino and loved it! I ordered the onion soup without the crouton and extra cheese: it arrived as I'd ordered it, however, the flavor was not there. I ordered a sachem salad and it, too, lacked flavor. My husband enjoyed the complementary panna catta. The cocktails and wine were great! Our server was friendly, amenable and eager to please. We enjoyed the overall experience and would return. But, I would not order the same plates for me."

  • "My first visit to Cental Bistro and I will definitely return soon. The outdoor patio is what outdoor dining should be and the open air feel inside was great too. We had the short rib pasta and the scallop risotto. Both were delicious and well prepared. I love scallops and these were cooked perfectly. They have a nice by the glass wine list. Our server was a delight. She admitted that it was only her second evening on the floor alone. You would have never known because she was professional and knew the menu. She suggested the key lime pie for dessert. We both Loved it! Light yet very flavorful. We are still talking about it! We both loved it. Do not miss this. Best pie we have ever had!"

  • "Decided to go to Central Bistro for brunch this past Sunday. We had a reservation, but decided to sit at the bar, in front of a singer/guitarist who was playing til early afternoon. He played and sang many classic rock songs on his acoustic guitar, which led to great ambiance. The food was excellent. We had the stuffed French toast and the eggs Benedict, both of which were excellent. The menu offers many breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes that were unique and looked delicious as servers passed us, as well as many traditional breakfast as lunch items. This place is a gem, and I will returning often, especially when Scott is there playing guitar."

  • "We brought our out of town guests here because we love the grilled artichoke and beignets. The artichoke served with aioli never disappoints. I had the shashimi tuna salad. The dressing was flavorless. The wild mushroom pasta tasted like they used too much fake chicken flavoring in it. The beignets are usually our favorite, but they have changed sauces,and they are disappointing. Beignets were undercooked, and lukewarm. Service was very good, as always."

  • "experience overall was excellent, though it started on a bizarre note. Our server ultimately was great, but he must have read too many reviews about slow service and he was at our table asking if we wanted to know about specials before we were all seated, literally. We actually asked a hostess if we might be moved to another table, or that somebody could talk to our server, and he did calm down and produced a quality experience for us. The food was excellent, including the cioppino and fish special, a branzino that was perfectly prepared. we enjoyed the mussels arrabiata. although they were not in the least spicy, and we decided that next time we would start with the oysters instead. we will definitely be back, at least to try the oysters"

  • "Food is so good! We had a table for 6 and we all tasted each others dishes. They were all delish! The wines are great quality without massive price markup. With the exception of one table that thought they were above everyone else in the place, the atmosphere was nice and not stuffy. Being in the medical industry, its a nice change. We cant wait to go back! The parking is a little tricky so give yourself an extra few minutes to find a spot in the center."

  • "Our server was excellent, hit all of his steps of service and treated us with respect. We had family in from out of town and wanted to show them that even small independent restaurants in AZ are better than anything they have in boring old Minnesota.. needless to say they were blown away with Central Bistro. Had the scallop risotto, vegan grilled vegetables, and black pasta. Great company, and their bottles of wine are generally priced to sell."

  • "Central Bistro was recommended by a family member. Killer Chicken Parmesan. The best I've had. My wife had the Mac and cheese special and loved it. The beignets for dessert were great. The room is beautiful. Only downside can be noise as it is open with brick walls. This is pretty typical today. I understand they have a super happy hour and brunch which I look forward to trying."

  • "I think we will give up on this place. It's overpriced for the quality of the food and the experience. We asked the server about the Caesar salad since it is described as "Tijuana style" and she told us it was just a regular salad. It's more like a salad kit -- a few whole Romaine leaves with croutons sprinkled on the side of the plate. For $9 I expect them to cut up the lettuce. The entrees were average in quality. The risotto was not enough food for my husband, and the grilled shrimp on my pasta had the tails intact, making it hard to eat. I will never understand why those tails are not removed. Does anyone eat shrimp tails? One more thing - the bus person poked my husband in the shoulder before asking him to clear the plates, etc. Ick."

  • "The whole operation at Central Bistro is a well oiled machine. From the from the reception desk to the kitchen they have a chain of communication that makes your dining experience a delight. Special requests are flawlessly carried through. All of the staff that have contact with the customers are polite and accommodating. Even the valet is knight in shining armor.. Despite the overabundance of, most of the other patrons being from, the Scottsdale bourgeois it is still a pleasant place. I, again, commend the staff for their fortitude. The menu is creative. It has enough options to make it interesting without being overwhelming. All of the carnivore items sampled have been superb. Meats are cooked to and as ordered!"

  • "On my Princess Brides birthday we tried Central Bistro. The service was good. The food was generally excellent. I had the burger and PB had Kale salad and Mushrooms with pasta. Our opener was the crab cakes. Flavor was good, texture was good, volume of crab was very good. Only issue was tepid temperature as served. Just a notch off 5 stars, but notable."

She was very surprised that the waiter and hostest knew her name (I had previously submitted my RSVP that we were meeting for her birthday brunch), so that made her feel very special. The surprise was even more when they surprised her with a birthday candle and the famous "Central Bistro" Donuts! Thank you!"
