Highly recommend.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMCannot comment much on #2We had dinner at 6:00 p.m. (we are seniors and eat early.) The dining area was deserted, so it's hard to answer the items in #2. The food was WONDERFUL. We had Louisiana Redfish on spinach & Kobe (called something else) with the squash casserole. Only improvement would be that the squash be just a bit more tender and it's sauce a bit thicker. The squash was really crunchy and the sauce thin, but the taste was wonderful. The people tending us were very nice and attentive without interrupting us. Also, we SO appreciated that everyone working there had impeccable manners. Often when we dine early at a nice place, without ordering drinks, wait staff sees us as boring and treats us with arrogance. Graham Dodds is terrific, and his menu always impresses. The oxtail ragout alone is enough for the trip, but we've almost everything on the current menu and there isn't anything that isn't outstanding. 5-star all the way.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place for lunchThis is a great place to meet friends for lunch. The tables are spaced far enough apart so you do not hear the next table's conversation. One of our friends is slightly deaf so does not need a table close or too much ambient noise. He said he could hear the rest of us ( there were 4 of us) talking.

Favorite entrees include the oxtail ragout and the redfish, though the marbelous ribs and anything with goose eggs are delights as well. The softshell crab app on the menu right now is A+. Don't forget dessert -- the Ugly Pug chocolate cake and the green tomato pie (trust me -- it's awesome) are my favorites, along with the poudine chomeur. We have a truly amazing group of chefs working in Dallas and an awesome collection of restaurants. Graham Dodds and Central 214 are at the tippity-top of my list. We had two graduation events to attend at SMU and there was just enough time between them to grab a little lunch. The wait staff was attentive and responsive and the manager came over to make sure things were running smoothly. Brunch was delicious, too! My lack of 5 stars due to the extra long time it took for me and 3 family members to get our food after we ordered. Our waiter was very professional but with the open kitchen pretty visible to the dining room, it wasnt hard to see there was some confusion that day. Although it was Easter Sunday, the restaurant was not packed and the menu was intersting but pretty 'compressed' as well so I expected a bit more efficiency. Wait wasn't crazy long though. My son's grilled cheese/tomato bisque arrived on the cool side but he was so hungry he ate it anyway. They had a special menu for Easter and everything on it looked amazing! Everything we ordered was delicious, such as the scotch egg and the famous triple cooked fries! Despite being very busy, our server Matt did an excellent job taking care of our needs and made us feel like family! To be honest I choose the restaurant because it was in the 1000 point category. Yes, it is in a hotel, but the restaurant is wonderful. We had the Scotch Egg to start and it was lovely and crispy on the outside a little over done for me inside, but still very nice. I had the chicken for dinner and my husband had the fish. Both were very well prepared and presented. Our server was helpful with any questions we had and was always there when you needed him. We will go back, regardless if a on the 1000 point list or not. The food was good, my ribeye was prepared medium well yet I asked for medium, but everyone else's was great, I think that's what really matters. The atmosphere was electric and inviting. The service personnel were friendly and hospitable with all of our needs. Overall the evening was a success and I'd like to thank everyone that worked that evening.
