"Food was excellent! Service a little shaky, as server spilled two martinis down the back of one of us, complete with broken glasses. We switched tables and he recovered nicely, but it did disrupt the outset of our evening."

"Went to Central 214 for the first time for Easter brunch. The place is lovely and the service was good. However, their Easter Sunday brunch was so so. The usual ... eggs, bacon, sausage, bagels, etc. The desserts looked and tasted like they had come from the bakery department of Kroger and put on a nice platter. However, the BIG suprise was the bill when we received it. The buffet was $53.00 per person. Not including drinks!

Now I am not adverse to paying for an outstanding meal. However, I do have a problem with paying $53.00 per person for something that I could have gotten at any Huddle House."

"Have been to C214 several times and had wonderful experiences. Decided to try the Easter Brunch and was very disappointed. The food selection was limited and tepid at best as no one monitored the sterno containers and replenishment. Hopefully this was a one off as this restaurant has great potential and has proven in the past to have wonderful food."

"If you like a menu where everything has a twist - you might find 214 more to your liking than I did. The flavor was good - but undressed greens on a plate is neither a salad nor a side item. There aren't any real sides on the menu."

"Central 214 was really good, but it was not as good as it used to be with the previous chef. No bread was served to us and most of the menu items were very unusual and the sides were not good. My husbands home frie potatoes weren't cooked all the way. My side was white bean purée. How about mashed potatoes, gnocchi, polenta, grits.....and the appetizers were not as good as the previous chefs. It just makes me sad because I love The Palomar and Central 214....That's wHere my husband and I met! Please change the menu!!"
