Diner Reviews
  • "I had the filet with a side of lobster mac and cheese...filet was excellent...mac and cheese could have had more lobster pieces in it...sort of skimpy on the lobster compare to other restaurants that I have had that dish at before."

  • "We ordered the lime-poached cocktail. It consisted of 3 massive shrimp and 2 sauces. The sauces were just ok. The shrimp were really big but also really tough. Next we ordered our steaks. I ordered the center cut boneless ribeye cooked medium covered in a Dungeness crab sauce. It was cooked exactly how I wanted it and the crab topping was very good. My wife ordered the filet mignon. She wanted it cooked medium well to well done, doesn't like pink. When she received it, it was practically raw inside and we ended up having to switch. I notified our waiter and got a brief apology but nothing else. I would have appreciated a discount. We will not return to this restaurant and will not recommend this to anyone."

  • "We came for dinner before the Donny & Marie Show. The service from Salvodor was great and the food was amazing. French Onion soup, prime rib and jalapeño corn were beyond delicious. The only down side is noise level is on the loud side. We would definitely go back."

  • "Have been to many steak places in Las Vegas. And this is so for the only one I will not return to or recommend. When I pay 60 for just a steak with no side, I expect I great steak, not a grocery store taste. Save your money and go to a less "classy" place and the same steak for less money."

  • "Went to this place this weekend for my boyfriends birthday. A little expensive, but excellent place to have a nice romantic dinner. My server was Frank and he was amazing. Best wine I have ever had. Fantastic food and service."

  • "Went to dinner here before show. Didn't expect much and was blown away with service and food and presentation. We got the seafood tower, soup, salad, and steak. Everything was delicious including our drinks. Too stuffed for dessert and pressed for time. Would def go back again"

  • "Very nice, a piece of Vegas past,. Great food. I will definitely be back! My sister had the fillet and said it was the best she had in a long time."

  • "Garbage salad was interesting, with small heirloom tomato, English cucumber, radish, salami, and blue cheese, Long bone rack of lamb with a side of mashed was excellent. Loaf of bread was a perfect accompaniment. Marcos was attentive and friendly. Ambiance was a quiet respite from the casino atmosphere."

  • "We were immediately seated even though our reservations were for twenty minutes later. The manager brought out a long stem rose to my table. Every waiter brought one to every woman who dined that night. Our sever was very quick to introduce himself and his helper. The food was FANTASTIC!!!! Every bit of the evening was wonderful ."

  • "We had excellent food and service. Their oysters Rockefeller were excellent, my wife had a filet and I had the prime rib, both were excellent. The service was excellent, the waiter was Frank and bus service was provided by Ramon. Ramon was very entertaining, very upbeat. It was a great place to celebrate Valentines day."

  • "I wish I could remember our waiters name because he was great. Never had to ask him twice for anything. The restaurant was out of the wine we wanted but he came thru with a great replacement. Great food we all enjoyed it !!"

  • "My parents were in town and we were going to see Donny & Marie, so we wanted a spot in the Flamingo. We were hesitant to try a new place, but gave it a shot and were pleasantly surprised! The decor and ambience is cool, retro Hollywood, black and white. We scored a circular booth with curtains which was very cozy. The service and staff were all so outgoing and friendly, and the food was fabulous! Very impressed with the quality and consistency of the food for a new spot! The steaks were cooked to perfection, the salad was luscious, and the Bacon Satay...wow! Extra kudos to JJ our server. His friendly, informative demeanor was so refreshing. He made our experience at Center Cut so wonderful that we will be back!"

  • "This is a good steak restaurant, but not a great one. We had 2 different steaks, both OK, but we've had much better for much less money. The bacon app was delicious, but took a long time to prepare. The calimari came in little copper pots - nice touch. This restaurant is unfortunately located in the Flamingo - a ratty hotel/casino. The restaurant decor is fine, but entering/exiting through the Flamingo doesn't add anything to the experience."

  • "I was expecting to be overwhelmed with stellar food and extra special service in Vegas, I was sorely disappointed by Center Cut Steakhouse. When my wife and I entered the loud restaurant I let our waiter know we only had 1:45 since we were going to a show, and he assured me that would be no problem. I ordered the rack of lamb and my wife ordered salmon. My dish came with a side hers did not, inconsistency within a restaurant is very odd to me. The food was not good (and if you take into account the prices, it was terrible). We were never checked on, and when the busboy cleared our table I had to ask him for our check (which took 11 minutes). I nearly walked out on the check because the waiter never returned. I will definitely NOT return!"

  • "Definitely a nice escape from the rest of the Flamingo hotel and the service was excellent. The food was very over priced and the signature "Tomahawk" Bone in Rib-Eye was one of the fattiest, unappealing pieces of meat I've ever ordered. When we pointed this out to the waiter he immediately took it away and brought us filet's, which were very good. But at $50 for a steak and no sides... Eh."

  • "Only complaint was, I asked for romantic seating for my bride and I, and we were placed in the middle of the resturant. Would have been nice to be seated in a booth where I could have a conversation with my wife without yelling. Why ask if there is a special request, if you're not going to honor it? That was really disapointing!!! However, the meal was great, we loved the new years eve menu!!!"

  • "We heard Center Cut was a great value steakhouse based off other reviews. Waiter Robert was slow, unfriendly, and unhelpful with the menu. He was very short and rude to us, seemed to keep his head down and pay us no attention, while chumming it up with other tables. Perhaps he pegged us as low tippers because we asked for free water, but we are quite the opposite. He earned 10% from us, and that was generous based off his service. We're all typically 25+% tippers. Food was mediocre, nothing special. Their computer doesn't allow splitting checks after the meal, but he made us seem stupid for asking. He said "you're not from around here are you". Well no, it's Las Vegas. Very condescending all around and ruined our experience."

  • "The garbage salad with hearts of palm was delicious. It was different and quite filling. Two can share this dish. The lobster bisque was good. The rack of lamb was overcooked. Overall nothing was bad, but nothing was great either. It was a normal, typical casino on the strip steakhouse. There are other better steakhouses on the strip."

  • "Food was very mediocre, Steak was tasty (though not cooked MR), but the rest of the meal was really not good, certainly at that price was a very poor choice for dinner. I've had better Ahi tuna in a bar setting. Salad was also very unexciting. Soup (mushroom) was tasteless. My wife enjoyed the onion soup. They also served Yorkshire pudding rolls which I enjoyed (something you rarely find these days). Service was excellent. If that's the best the Flamingo can conger up then they need to go down the street and try some of the restaurants at the MGM."

  • "My wife and I enjoyed our meal a great deal. Shrimp cocktail with HUGE Shrimp and lobster like we've never experienced, tender and tasty. If ever we have lobster some where else (as no place before has been even close) this is the meal that it will be compared to."

  • "This place does the name "steak house" well. I had the prime rib, my wife had the filet mignon. Both of us were very happy. The bread included a piece of Yorkshire pudding, which made me very happy. I had the lobster bisque before the steak. I wouldn't say I loved it, but it had a really unique flavor which I appreciated. I like when dishes are different, even if it's maybe not my particular cup of tea. My wife loved her salad - called the "garbage" salad. It's expensive, as all real steak houses are. No real way around that, but I didn't feel like it was overpriced for what we received. And the service was awesome. I wish I could remember his name. Very nice guy."

  • "On thanksgiving day, inside the flamingo casino. Ordered filet mignon. The waiter never told us the filet mignon was a bone in cut. So my wife never had a cut like this the meat seem tough at the bone. It was flavorful but tough. The cocktails were bad. We both ordered Cadillac margaritas, we got gin. We ordered rum and coke and got gin. sent the other back. The third time, Malibu rum on the rocks.. We were charged for every drink we ordered! Even the mistake drinks! I asked the waiter about it he said nothing he could do. At tip time I made the waiter paid for the drink. Only 15% for good food minus our bad drinks. A lot better restaurants on the west side of the strip like Gordon Ramsey's and at a comparable price."

  • "Overall the Flamingo feels tired and worse-for-the wear, but Center Cut Steakhouse was a breath of fresh air! The black-and-white palatte of the decor was a nice break from the sensory overload of casinos. We felt like living-color players in a B/W movie. The nostaligic vegas B/W videos on the screens around the oval dining room were a nice reminder of Vegas days past. The shrimp cocktail was huge and delicious. The bacon satay trio appetizer - a delicious indulgence in bacon-gone-wild! The "garbage salad" was a nice change from predictable salad offerings. The diver scallops were fresh and well-prepared and the side of jalapeno creamed corn was great! A complimentary chocolate mousse dessert for our anniversary - a superb surprise!"

  • "I found this resturaunt on a previous stay in Las Vegas and had to come back for both the service and the food. probably the best steaks I've had since Ruth Chris and Lowerys."

  • "Food and service was very nice. One problem was that they ran out of bone in rib eye which I understand was the number one thing to order. I guess next time......"

  • "Excellent dinner. Our server seemed a little harried at first and not very friendly, but warmed up towards the end of the meal once the restaurant had quieted down a bit. Will definitely dine there again."

  • "I made a reservation for one, and the hostess couldn't be more helpful. My waiter was also extremely helpful. The food came out fashionably late. Foie Gras was salty, but it was probably the better plate I had at Center Cut. Rib-Eye was salty and was not cooked to the "medium rare" as I requested. The chef also had burnt my Rib-Eye (by pressing on the meat while cooking). Creme Brulee lacked vanilla beans like the menu read. The fruit sauce tasted like it came from a can. The lobster mac&cheese had a layer of salt in the ramekin. I did not finish my food. I ate 30% and got a box to go. In the end, the disappointment of the food made me leave the to-go box behind. I felt happier leaving food behind than to take it with me"

  • "We choseCenter Cut because it was within walking distance and offered T-Bone steak. Robert our waiter was very informative about the menu especially the steaks . He recommended the American wagua rib eye. It was one of the best pieces of meat ever. Full if flavor and no fat . We will be back."

  • "We ate at The Cut on our last day in Vegas (7th night). We had the filet and lobster special. We also order lobster Mac and cheese. The lobster Mac and cheese is the best I have ever had. Frank was our waiter. Great service and he was extremely accommodating."

  • "The food was great, the staff was great!! I used open table 15 minutes before and they were ready for us!! We had a great table. The only downfall was the noise. It is a round room and everything bounces off the walls. Would go again!!"
