Diner Reviews
  • "my wife and I went for drinks and snack we enjoyed ourselves. The staff was very attentive but not in your face."

  • "This is a great place to go in the Time Warner Center to relax and have a drink. Enjoy the view both outside and in the Center."

  • "I love, love LOVE the Center Bar! The drinks are always intriguing, delicious and seasonal. The service is sublime and the snacks are a range of homey (Grilled Cheese Sandwich with yummy sweet dip) to Haute (Tuna or Foie Gras). There is a lovely piano accompaniment and a view overlooking Central Park. And if you get bored you can go shopping at the Time Warner Center!"

  • "A wide list of very creative cocktails and lots of interesting small plates to share. Very efficient and knowledgeable servers. Fantastic view of Columbus Circle. Terrific for dining before or after Jazz at Lincoln Center."

  • "One drink took about 20 minutes to get to the table after ordering. Server apologized but she seemed swamped. Couldn't tell what was going on behind the bar. Food was perfect but people are going there for drinks, not the food. Otherwise it's great for a relatively calm, non-crazy and sophisticated environment for drinks with friends."

  • "Absolutely love this place. As someone who spends a fair amount of time at Center Bar trying (albeit unsuccessfully!) to drink all their red wine and the house Pinot Noir in particular, I must say it is a brilliant place. The staff is also extremely attentive and nice. "

  • "Wanted somewhere special to reflect on our wonderful 3 weeks in New York. Center Bar (or Centre Bar, as Aussies would have it), fit the bill perfectly. Great service, ambiance, pianist, and brilliant food. Thanks, will cone again. Lynda Edwards"

  • "Almost like a second office, social place and everything else for me. I think I need to go here even more than I normally do. I could safely say I drink about 10 bottles of their wine every month....."

  • "My plate was not memorable- I had fluke - but everything else was excellent. We had drinks, a plate apiece, cappacino and dessert. Very comfortable place not overcrowded and the noise level was subdued- highly conducive to conversation. Great spot to meet with someone you want to talk to. Of course, there is abundant natural light and the view up Columbus Avenue is a plus."

  • "Before or after performances of The American Songbook at Lincoln Center, the excellent drinks and well-executed small plates menu at The Center Bar in the Time-Warner Center provide the sophisticated lady (and gentleman) the right setting to while away the hours as time goes by. Attentive service, and great view of the atrium and the City beyond. I'll take Manhattan - the drink and the view. Although the menu is limited, each small plate dish is imaginative and well-executed. Extensive wine and liquor lists."

  • "Love the bar and the view if you are luck enough to get a table by the railing. The food is well thought out and you can have a small plate with a lovely glass of wine in a relaxed setting."

  • "Center Bar has impeccable service. The server, manager and front desk all helped in serving me and my girlfriend and made me feel almost famous as how good they treated us. Food is worth the price and isn't that expensive anyway. Was able to get a bottle of pro secco for only $48!! Service, food, drinks and priceless view was all too well worth it. Have been going here and will go much, much more often!!!!!"

  • "with a view of columbus circle, classy piano music, fabulous cocktails and gourmet treats, this was the perfect date night spot. Thank you Center Bar!"

  • "Center Bar offers a unique view of the Columbus Circle/Time Warner Center. It is located on the 4th Level of the TWC overlooking the Circle entrance. It is above Buchon Bakery and about the same size. With the piano (providing very unobtrusive music) this means limited seating but all with a nice view. The menu is dominated by specialty cocktails with a few Small Plates. The food is OK to GOOD with prices to match the location. A nice place to take visitors for a drink."

  • "The Center Bar is a great place to hang out for a quick after work drink/snacks. It's a trendy spot in the Columbus Circle - Time Warner building. Good variety on drinks, a good place to just have a drink and relax."

  • "Made a last minute res. for a special night. Although unaware, the staff greeted us warmly and brought us to a front row/center table. Started with cocktails (delicious sidecar!! ), shared the yummy arancini and pork belly. Moved on to wine and halibut -wonderful! Ended with panna cotta and something decadantly chocolate! Everything was worthy of a do-over. We will definitely be back. Only flaws-the wine was not a very generous pour....they could have given at least another ounce. The plates were designed to be small - and were. They definitely left us wanting more- but that was also a sign of how good it was! A rarity-Chef Michael Lomonaco was there - as he usually is at Porterhouse- another wonderful favorite. Service was great!"
