From the first sip of wine to the last bite of dinner, all was delicious. I wanted to eat "plain" so I ordered from the a la carte menu - tender fillet. There was not a green salad on the menu, but waitress was quick to accommodate. I chose tasty caesar dressing on the side. My husband ordered a large plate with a side of mac cheese (mouthwatering) and some fried appetizers: pickles and thai rolls for the table. My friend ordered a salad with a flavorful romaine salad (feta cheese, hearts of palm, and more) with a light vinaigrette and a small dish of cold shrimp. All the food was brought at once, as requested so we could enjoy our foods together. Very select wine list & reasonable prices; also unique specialty drinks. Menu had lots of appetizers and ala carte menu items as well as main entrees; we had fresh apricot glazed salmon, grilled asparagus, sweet potato fries and Steak Pablo: 12oz hanger steak, achiote rice (spanish rice), chimichurri sauce, feta, tomato & cucumber relish. We did not indulge in dessert but the keylime pie did sound delicious. I would recommend making reservations and indicate your dining room preference.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMDefinitely recommend trying!My boyfriend and I took a short trip to Sturbridge over Memorial Weekend and I am glad we came across Cedar Street Grille when looking for a place for dinner. Some of the other area restaurants were booked for reservations but Cedar had availability and I am glad they did! The food was excellent, I had the hanger steak and it was cooked perfectly! We also tried a few other dishes that were delicious as well. The fried pickle chips are a must! This was a nice little restaurant with friendly staff and overall a great place to eat. It was the perfect spot for a nice, enjoyable dinner that didn't break the bank. I ordered the seared scallops and roasted beet salad. My companion selected the bistro salad and the catch of the day, swordfish. Both meals were well prepared and delicious. We shared "crazy dates" (3 marscapone stuffed dates dipped in chocolate) for dessert. Our server was helpful and efficient throughout our stay. Our dinners were wonderful from the steak, to the salmon dish and then to the halibut special and all were cooked to perfection. It had been a while since we had been there. The only reason it wasnt 5 stars all around is the food/drinks were a little pricey and the service was mediocre (it took 15minutes to place our order and my food came 5 minutes after my husbands). I looked at the web site online and read the reviews. All except one were "Excellent" and the one was "Very Good".
Well, here's another "Excellent!". The food was excellent, the service outstanding and the ambiance was perfect!
