  • "The service and food were amazing. Such a welcome find. We will definitely be back. Yum..."

  • "Service is always outstanding here and the food is great. Last Sunday we came for brunch and I made a point of asking our waitress if the special curried pork hash on the menu had onions, since I really dislike them. She assured me that it didn't and that she doesn't like them herself. With my first bite I was not thrilled as I could taste onion, although it was subtle; then behind us I heard every other waitress describe it as having caramelized onions! I did manage to eat some but I wasn't too thrilled. However, the eggs were poached perfectly and my husband's jalapeno mac & cheese was delicious. Coffee is wonderful too and sourdough toast is delicious. Just a glitch and we will be back."

  • "Very attractive restaurant with excellent food and wonderful service. This was our first visit and it was for lunch. I am anxious to return for dinner"

  • "Had tuna steak with grilled asparagus and spinach. Chose not to get fingerlings it came with. Great class of A to Z wine with a to-die-for piece of carrot cake. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely coming back!"

  • "I've been here for dinner but never brunch. Was a great experience from the wonderful food to the great atmosphere."

  • "We have never been disappointed at Cedar Street Grille whether for lunch, brunch or dinner. The selections, quality of the food, service and ambiance are exceptional."

  • "Cedar Street Grille was recommended to us by a friend. Although it is 45 min from our home, it was worth the drive. We found it to be very relaxing, friendly, and professional. My wife had the salmon, which she said was excellent and I had the Lamb Shank which was done to perfection. Overall, it was an outstanding dining experience. We will not hesitate to recommend Cedar Street Grille to our friends. Needless to sasy, we will be back."

  • "My Boston guests and I met for brunch. The food served beautifully. The waitress was fabulous. We were never hurried. We three guests enjoyed our experience immensely."

  • "We have visited Cedar Street a number of times. On this visit, the restaurant and bar were very busy, and the service initially was impacted, taking 15 minutes to get a drink. The noise level was a bit higher than on our prior visits. Our meals were excellent. I had the Wahoo special and my partner had the filet. Both were very good."

  • "Love this place - had been for brunch last fall and decided to try it for lunch with a girlfriend. They were very accommodating as she wanted pasta instead of fries with the garlic shrimp, and they had no problem changing it. I ordered the garlic shrimp with the fries and it was wonderful. You only get three shrimp, but it's lunch so you don't need a huge portion. The fries were crispy and delicious. We both had tea; their selection is great and the tea they use is one of the best (Mighty Leaf). I can't wait to go back."

  • "Service was great, but food was not good. I guess ,I am not use to having blue cheese in my Mac and cheese. People assume these plates are made with traditional ingredients just to find out it's not what they expected. High class food is not comfort food sprinkled with expensive ingredients. Disappointed I will not be back."

  • "We ended up ordering small plates this time, and they were all wonderful. The cheese slate brings a little slice of France here.....great dessert too."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed the garlic shrimp and fried goat cheese, but the crazy dates were my favorite! Nice find!"

  • "Cedar Street has consistently good food - very warm bar area with intimate tables (my favorite area over the main dining room). The menu is frequently refreshed - thus, it does not get old and makes it more enjoyable to frequent more often. This team of owners have a few restaurants - all a little different - and we like them all. Cedar Street is one of those places you can take a business associate, a date, or just sit in the bar and enjoy a cold local beer."

  • "I was so looking forward to dining at Cedar Street Grill after reading many reviews. We made reservation for a table of two at 5:30. Were seated right next to the kitchen door. A vent under the table was blowing cold air. We asked for another table and the waitress put a menu over the vent. The server never introduced herself so we never could ask for her by name. The ceaser salad was more like a chopped salad and was very dry. The fish special had no flavor and was overcooked. The scallops were undercooked, not seared at all. The waitress seemed like she was stressed and not into making our night special at all. We will be going back to Rovezzi's."

  • "We selected this restaurant without knowing anything about it because it was midway between us and a good location. We were pleasantly surprised at the excellent tapas we had and all in all, a great restaurant. I would not hesitate to return and I would highly recommend it. It was casual, yet with excellent food and wine. And to top it all off, the service was great!"

    Dined on 5/15/2014
  • "Nice local restaurant, lovely ambience, good food, excellent service. Only downside is that every table/booth around the periphery of the dining room have floor vents at your feet blasting cold air. Is a problem as the waitress asked about it before we said anything & suggested we put our menu over it for the meal. Solved the problem but was odd ..."

  • "Delicious food and specialty drinks. Superior service, comfortable and inviting ambience. The only great place to go around Sturbridge. So thankful we found it! "

  • "Everything we ordered at Cedar St Grill had amazing, pallet pleasing, distinct flavors that made this meal very special. From the Lobster Bisque apetizer ( best I have ever had) to the Lamb, to the Bacon wraped feta stuffed dates ( apetizer we had for desert), everything was great."

  • "This is our second time at Cedar Street. We r from CT and meet up with friends from Franklin MA as Sturbridge is half way for us both. We have tried other Sturbridge restaurants but enjoy Cedar Street the most. The ambience is warm and inviting. The menu is great with many interesting items including a great selection of small plates..Staff is friendly and accommodating."

  • "I have not been to this restaurant in over 5 years. I had a very good memory of that prior visit so I thought I would make reservations. It was thoroughly enjoyable in all aspects. Food was great, atmosphere was energetic but was able to enjoy some nice conversation, the restaurant is presented well as you walk in from the back entrance with the nice decor of the lamps lining the walkways. The bar area was vibrantly busy but was separated intelligently from the dining areas. The dining room lighting was nicely set up for an intimate experience. I will go back again when I am in the area. "

  • "Went to Cedar Street Grille for our anniversary and it was great! We ordered a bunch of small plates as our dinner and everything was fantastic. It is a small building that has a great blend of colonial and modern decor inside. Definitely give this place a try, its worth it! "

  • "This was our third visit and we were delighted once again by the whole experience. Part of me wants to keep this gem a secret ,so other people won't find out about it. Have not one negative to say about service, food selections on the menu or ambiance. We will be back. "

  • "The wait for our entrees was an hour. The waitress finally came and started clearing our silverware and talking about dessert. We explained we hadn't had our entrees yet. This should not have happened, too many staff working one table/ no one in charge?"

  • "Our party of four was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the service and the deliciously prepared food. We had made reservations and were seated immediately on a busy Saturday evening. Our gathering of two couples was a reunion of more that 25 years and we were looking for a place where we could sit, eat well and reminisce. We were not disappointed! "

  • "We visited Cedar Street Grille for Sturbridge Restaurant Week. The meal was delicious and cooked to perfection. The service was excellent. Though we had not visited often before we will definitely be back. "

  • "Cedar Street Grille is one of my favorite restaurants. The food, service and surroundings are amazing! They even have brunch. But make sure you park across the street because their parking lot is tiny. My husband had the fried chicken, he said the breast was so moist. And I had the mahi mahi, cooked perfectly. Usually restaurants over cook seafood so its dry, but no Cedar Street. And don't forget about dessert, amazing!"

  • "My husband and I visited this restaurant last year by chance. During our first visit we were impressed by the staff -- the restuaurant was completely booked but they made room for us. We loved everything about it and couldn't wait to get back. We were sure to book ahead this time and were not let down. Coming from a customer-service industry myself, I love that not only are the staff friendly and polite, but they seem to work together very well, and are willing to help any of their guests. Many times we had a member of the wait staff stop to refill our water or remove empty plates even though we were not their table. Food is AMAZING! Definitely a new favorite."

  • "I'm sorry, dates (the fruit) wrapped in a huge slice of undercooked bacon, stuffed with a little goat cheese fails miserably. In fact the level of culinary sophistication here seems to be to use as much bacon as possible, whether it fits the dish or not.. Lamb tacos were bland, underseasoned; the meat had a mushy, almost baby-food like texture; the "mint yoghurt sauce" had no discernible mint flavor and served only to make the taco soggy; the "spicy carrot slaw" was a few carrot shreds with no discernable spiciness. Poor dish. A Chicken Caesar salad was OK, but overdressed and nothing special. Best feature of the meal was the excellent sweet potato fries."

  • "This is the second time we have made a 8:30 reservation. The place is packed, gets really noisy. The food was amazing as usual, but they ran out of the special which has happened both times and they ran out of red velvet cake. Little bit disappointed. Changed up their desert menu and I don't love it. But dinner is do good you don't need desert."
